To improve security and community policing, Asharami Synergygroup has renovated the police station at Murtala Muhammed Airport Road in Ikeja in Lagos.
It said it was part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, which focused on promotion of development goals in its host communities.
The Nation reports that the station received structural overhaul, with facilities installed, such as inverter and solar panels to ensure uninterrupted power supply.
“The renovation also included electrical wiring, replacement of the entire roof, windows, and doors, painting, and the facility’s toilet systems.
“The inclusion of solar power is in line with Asharami and Sahara Foundation’s commitment to promoting access to energy and building sustainable environments.
“This energy saving, and sustainability approach applied … would ensure the facility receives power-dependent real time alerts, thereby leading to improved security,” Chief Operating Officer, Yemi Odutola said.
Appreciating the firm for the gesture, Commissioner of Police at Airport Command Salem Amachree said it would promote efficiency in service delivery.
Amachree said: “… I assure the public of our commitment to safeguard lives and properties and we look forward to more collaboration towards keeping Nigeria secure for all.”
