Akeredolu’s aides resign ahead 2023

Political appointees of Ondo State Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, seeking elective positions in next year’s general election, have begun to tender resignation letters.

Their resignation followed the 48-hour ultimatum the governor issued to them to resign in line with the amended Electoral Act.

Among those who have resigned are the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Donald Ojogo; the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Youths and Students Affairs, Muyiwa Ogunyemi; the Special Adviser to the Governor on Regional and Diaspora Matters, Dr. Victor Ategbole and Commissioner for Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr. Adegboyega Adefarati.

Others expected to resign today are Chairman of ONDIPA, Mr. Boye Oyewumi; Special Adviser on Rural Development, Babatunde Kolawole; Chairman, State Information Agency (SITA), Olumbe Akinkugbe.
