Akoko residents, students adopt Oke/ Dauda

Oke gets AD flag today

The Alliance for Democracy (AD) governorship candidate in Ondo State, Olusola Oke, was, at the weekend, endorsed by the people of Ikare-Akoko, the headquarters of Akoko North East Local Government Area.

They assured him of their support during the November 26 election.

At Igbede, Oke sat on the roof of his car as the crowd struggled to clasp his arms. At the Olukare’s palace, the AD candidate reiterated his stance to rescue Ondo from the clutches of hunger and economic down turn.  In response, Oba Akadiri Momoh prayed for God’s guidance on him.

The campaign team had a hard time getting into the palace of the Owa Ale of Ikare, as the crowd barricaded the way.

Speaking to Oba Samuel Kolapo Adegbite Adedoyin, the AD candidate bemoaned the non-completion of Alpha 3D, Ikare and several other moribund industries across the state.

Oba Adedoyin thanked Oke and the AD for picking Ganiyu Dauda as his running mate.

At the campaign venue, speaker after speaker extolled Oke’s virtues and why he remains the best candidate to occupy the Alagbaka Government House.

At a brief stopover at Ugbe Akoko, the Regent, Shabba Saruma, prayed for Oke: “Come 2017, you will be sworn-in as the next landlord of Alagbaka Government House.”

He requested for a motor-able road to link the bridge in the town.

Indigenous students have also pledged their support for Oke. A statement by the President, National Association of Ilaje Students, Okunomo Adewumi, said: “Oke has proven himself worthy of our support because of his great support for education and youth development while he was serving as the Chairman OSOPADEC.

“We use this medium to appeal to all indigenes to vote for Oke and Dauda because they are tested and trusted.”
