A Federal High Court in Abuja has scheduled a ruling for March 28 on the applications by Abba Kyari, the suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP and his co-defendants.
Kyari and four police officers are standing trial on charges of alleged unlawful drug dealings.
On Monday, Justice Emeka Nwite adjourned for ruling after taking arguments from lawyers to parties in the case.

Kyari was last week, arraigned with Sunday J. Ubua, an Assistant Commissioner of Police; Bawa James, an Assistant Superintendent of Police; Simon Agirgba, an inspector; John Nuhu, also an inspector and two civilians – Chibuna Umeibe and Emeka Ezenwanne on an eight-count charge
While Kyari and the other policemen pleaded not guilty, the two civilians pleaded guilty.
