APC condoles with Ekiti community

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State has condoled members of Oke-Ako community over last week‘s attack by herdsmen.

Leading members of the State Working Committee to the community yesterday the State Deputy Chairman, Mrs Kemi Olaleye, delivered the message at the palace of the regent.

In a statement by Publicity Secretary Taiwo Olatunbosun, the party condemned the attack.

Mrs Olaleye said: “We are here to sympathise and identify with the regent, the family of the deceased and the entire community.

“We want to assure the people of the commitment and sincerity of President Muhammadu Buhari to ensure security of lives and properties.”

She called on the Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase and Commissioner of Police James Etop to arrest the perpetrators.

Condemning Governor Ayodele Fayose for making “serious security matters involving lives of Ekiti indigenes a political road show”, the deputy chairman said the governor should deploy his over N200million monthly security vote to support security agencies.

She berated the governor for embarking on measures that can set the country on fire, saying that arming Ekiti people to kill Fulani herdsmen was a call for inter-ethnic confrontation that could lead to national crisis.
