Members and the Committee of Chairmen of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Diaspora on Thursday condole with the foremost leader of the party, Chief Bisi Akande, his family, the government and people of Osun state on the death of the former first lady of the state, Mrs. Omowunmi Akande who passed away at the age of 73.
In a condolence message to the former interim chairman of the APC, the chairmen described late Mrs Akande as a real role model to all female folks and a genuine crusader of rural women empowerment.
The message reads in part: “She was a typical reference to the saying that behind a successful man, there is always a woman.
“We mourn her loss alongside his family, friends, and the people of Osun. May God grant the family and the state of Osun the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
