All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State and the Chairman of Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC), Mr Wale Adebayo, have kicked as Governor Ademola Adeleke yesterday sworn in his aide (senior special assistant on Legal Matters) as the chairman of Osun Independent Electoral Commission (OSIEC).
The new members of state statutory commissions, including those of the State Judicial Service Commission, were sworn in by the Deputy Governor, Prince Kola Adewusi.
The swearing-in followed the confirmation of the nominees as forwarded to the House of Assembly by Governor Adeleke. Those confirmed and sworn in include chairmen and members of the Osun State Independent Electoral Commission, Osun State Judicial Service Commission, Osun State Civil Service Commission and Osun State House of Assembly Service Commission.

The APC through its Chairman, Tajudeen Lawal, in a statement described the action of Adeleke as the highest level of indecency of a democratic institution.
He said with the appointment of one of Adeleke’s appointees as the OSSIEC chairman, there is nothing that will be independent in the activities of the commission except its nomenclature.
The Chairman of IPAC, Adebayo, said his party, Allied Peoples Movement (APM), would challenge the appointment of Abioye in court.
