Aggrieved members and concerned stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Yaba Local Council Development Area (LCDA) of Lagos State have protested against the emergence  of Adebayo Adefuye as the party’s chairmanship candidate for the council area.

“We condemn the imposition of Adebayo Adefuye. He is not better than any of the aspirants contesting here in Yaba LCDA. He is not from this locality, he hails from Somolu Local Government and is not a resident of Yaba,” Hon. Ismail declared. “We are here because our voices must be heard, and we reject this injustice. This is our third protest, and we will not stop until our leaders listen to what the masses are saying.”

Among other reasons, the protesters emphasized that Adefuye was originally from Somolu and ‘’has no established residency in Yaba LCDA, which disqualifies him from representing the interests of the Yaba people effectively.
