APC mourns councillor

Lagos State All Progressives Congress (APC) has mourned Oluwakemi Rufai, councillor representing Ward C1 in Ibeju-Lekki Local Government.

Barely two weeks after taking the oath of office, Rufai died early hours yesterday after a brief illness. Her death was a shock to the party, people of Ibeju-Lekki, and Lagos.

Rufai, the only woman councillor was sworn in into Ibeju-Lekki Legislative Council. She embodied commitment, grassroots service, and gender inclusion. Her dedication to community development and her loyalty to the ideals of APC were evident.

‘‘We are heartbroken, and we extend our condolences to her family, Ibeju-Lekki council, her constituents, and all who had worked with her. Her legacy of service, courage, and vision will not be forgotten’’.

The Lagos APC stands in solidarity with the community she served and remains committed to upholding the values she so strongly believed in.
