All Progressives Congress (APC) Professional Council has denied being sponsored by some individuals and organisations.
Director-General, Seyi Bamigbade, who debunked the allegations at a news conference, maintained that allegations that the council was being sponsored to campaign for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu/Kashim Shettima ticket was false.
He said: “We have sponsored our programmes and activities on the belief that the Tinubu-Shettima mandate is the new direction for Nigeria. We state that our empowerment programmes, conferences, two million-man march and others are self-sponsored.
“Our confidence and belief in Asiwaju Tinubu and Shettima is our driving force and we find motivation in that. We welcome any support or funding but, for now, we sponsor our activities and that is the truth.”
