The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja on Monday declared the Kogi East senatorial seat vacant.
Two Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members – Attai Aidoko and Isaac Alfa – are laying claim to the party’s ticket for the July 24 rerun election in the district.
Justice Abdul Aboki gave the ruling in a pre-election matter filed before the court.
