INTERNATIONAL African female talking drummer, Ara has launched an initiative to inspire hope and save Lagosians, who have lived in darkness and been exposed to negative influences.
Touched by the uprising of street urchins, drug addicts, and illiterates, on the streets of Lagos, Ara launched ‘Eko Inspire Me’ on October 19, 2022, to the world with an event that was held at the EbonyLife Place.
The event was anchored by comedian and entertainer, Koffi, who enlightened guests and attendees on the essence of the event.

The audience were treated to a mini-drama performance that focused on both entertaining and educating the audience with the use of the talking drum while they gesticulated to the sonorous beat.
Ara, who was welcomed on stage in the company of her talking drummers, spoke on why she began the initiative. In her words, she said if she had started earlier, then maybe the incident that happened on October 20, 2020, could have been averted.
Also, present on the occasion were the Lagos state commissioner of information, Gbenga Omotosho was present at the event, also present was and BBNaija star, Joe Abdallah.
