A group, Oyolawa New Dawn Team (ODT), has backed the governorship ambition of Olaoluwa Peter Abidemi, popularly called (OPA), in Oyo State, in 2027.
It said he was a tested and trusted public officer and an accountant with many corporate organisations. ‘’He is now with one of the United States of America’s public agencies.’’
A statement by the spokesperson, Olumuyiwa Ojebiyi, said: ‘’It’s the turn of Oyo Zone to produce governor.’’

He says to achieve the agitation of Oyo Zone to produce the next governor, an overwhelming number of the people have been supporting ‘OPA’ as the most preferred candidate to be presented to the All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders for consideration.
The body called for rotational governorship, especially as 2027 draws near, saying ‘’this is the time for other zones to come together and take their position.’’
He urged APC in the state to present a candidate that is well accepted by the people.
