An aspirant for House of Representatives in Ado-Odo-Ota in Ogun State, Feyikemi Egbeyemi, has promised to initiate health insurance for Okada riders.
Egbeyemi, who is running on the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC), said the gesture would cater for any health or accident emergencies in the area.
Princess Egbeyemi said there are untapped talents among youths which she hoped to explore and develop to increase revenues.
“My candidacy promises dividends of democracy … minding the fact that no woman has ever been allowed to clinch the position,” she said.
She said she would make the difference as a mother and woman with passion to serve unlike the usual male representatives.
“I have garnered experience in the public and private sectors as an administrator and human resources manager, which has prepared me to offer leadership to the people of Ado-Odo Ota Federal constituency,” she said.
Egbeyemi described herself as very qualified, saying she had piloted loan schemes for Ado-Odo/Igbesa women, helped indigent dwellers start businesses.
She vowed to use her experience as board member of Ogun State Marketing Board, shrewd business and marketing acumen to invest in youth talent discoveries.
Princess Egbeyemi, who declared her campaign motto as New Vision, New Directions, promised to carry out women and youth empowerment, provide monthly stipends for women, revolving business loans among members, uplift the youth and guidance for career developments.
