Asuelime Eniola’s new flick, In Circles, has further highlighted domestic violence in different homes across Nigeria.
In Circles, a family drama movie co-produced and directed by Asuelime, is centered on the lives of three best friends who are all married with different issues. The film also highlights some issues faced in jointly owned businesses.
According to Asuelime, the film is an eye-opener for many Nigerian men and women.
“It is a movie that the viewers should look out for. They need to go see it when it gets to the cinema. The movie is an eye-opener. It is observed in Nigeria that most women are maltreated by their intimate partners; the level of violence perpetrated against women in Nigeria is increasing, with two out of three women experiencing intimate partner violence in the family,” she said.
Florence Aigbe, a co-producer of the project also said the film is impressive and fantastic.”It is a fantastic movie. I was impressed when I saw the calibre of people on the set of the movie, and even the types of equipment were top notch.”
The film features Seun Akindele, Jide Awobona, Aaron Sunday, and Florence Aigbe amongst others.
