Founder of Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria (MAAUN) Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo has donated N1million to Usman Yahaya, a Nigerian student at the mercy of the Russian immigration.

The donation by Prof. Gwarzo, through the Association of Nigerian Students in Europe (ANSE), was received by Adnan Mukhtar, Manager of PRNigeria Centre in Kano.

The MAAUN Founder urged spirited citizens to quickly come to the aid of Yahaya to make sure that his “bright and promising future is not truncated”.

“However, after receiving a letter from his sponsors in Sokoto, the student is currently housed in the university accommodation for safety. But if he cannot renew his documents, he may be deported,” Or

I want to sell my vote, says Okon Lagos

Popular comedian Ime Bishop Umoh aka Okon Lagos has announced his vote is up for sell at a giveaway price.

The comic act in a new video said he has no business with persons advocating against vote buying because his PVC belongs to him and he has decided he wants to sell his vote but at the right price.

“You see all these don’t sell your votes….it doesn’t concern me because I have my PVC. So I will sell my vote. I will sell it but at the right price. A very considerate and generous price because of you.

“You know most of these politicians that buy vote will just appear in your life once every four years. And come and buy your vote in the polling units and just disappear. And come again the next election year, after four years,” he said.

He explained he’ll be selling his vote on per day basis multiplied by the number of days in four years.

According to him: “So my vote that I’m going to sell, I’ll sell it per day. You know we have 365 days per year. Times four years is going to be 1,460 days

“So, I’m going to give my vote at a giveaway price of $1,000 a day. So at $1,000 a day times 1,460 days. That is going to be one million, four hundred and sixty thousand dollars ($1,400,060).

“That is the price for selling my vote for four years.”

Continuing, Okon Lagos said: “And I don’t want to be stingy o! The exchange is N610 per dollar. So you know how it is now, for business…. And to maintain a good business relationship, I’ll give you at a giveaway rate of N500.

“So $1,400,060 times 500 is going to be N730,000,000 in four years. I no cheat you!

“So for me alone, budget N730,000,000. So that when you give me, I know the next time you’ll come to buy vote will be in the next four years. You won’t give me anything other thing, I don’t have any other benefit.

“So, I can use the money to take care of myself in the next four years. Have I not tried? It’s because of you o!”
