Amid national security concerns, Babcock University chapter of Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) has been re-inaugurated. This move, seven years after its initial launch, reaffirms the university’s commitment to fostering stronger police-community ties and enhancing public security.
At Police Divisional Headquarters in Ilishan where chapter members met with others, Divisional Police Officer, SP Betty Ajuwon, noted the necessity of collective effort in addressing insecurity. “We need support to build a safe community,” she said.
PCRC State Chair, Dr Samson Popoola, echoed this, noting importance of cooperation in tackling societal issues. “There is no perfect society. We must manage one another,” he noted.

At the event, present, among others, were Ogun State Vice Chair, Adesanya Oduola and Area Command spokesman, Oguntayo Adelana, culminated in a pledge to create a safer community through a revitalised PCRC.
Stakeholders and patrons pledged support to create a safer community through a stronger and more impactful PCRC.
Among the patrons were Babcock’s Director of Security Services, Dr. Chukwumah Ajike, Otunba Ougbenga Adebajo, Deaconess Olurotimi Alonge, and Alhaja Tumininu Oduye.
