Bahamas annual fashion and food fest 2022

Bahamas fest; a food and fashion festival celebrating the Nigerian peoples and African cultural heritage through Food, Fashion & Music.

The first edition of the event was launched in 2021 and held with the sole aim of promoting Nigerian fashion, foods and cultural heritage on a grand stage. The event was slated to kick off in 2020 but was postponed due to the covid 19 pandemic. The festival which is slated for August 2022 will be a 2day weekend event showcasing and spotlighting the best Nigerian fashion, foods, and cuisine in and around Accra, Ghana.

The event is the brainchild of Bright Okosodo better known as “Richie Richie”, who is the CEO and Founder of Bahamas Entertainment and Bahamas Collection Clothing Brand both domiciled in Accra, Ghana.

Bahamas Collection Clothing Brand is the host and headline sponsor of the event, but is currently shopping for partners and associate sponsors for the event. The festival will also be used as a medium to promote Nigeria and also introduce to other communities the diversity and richness of the Nigerian peoples and culture.

Speaking to our reporter, the CEO of Bahamas said, “my aim is to make this event an annual one that will be used to raise awareness for upcoming African creatives. This is a call to every talented young person that they can own businesses and be successful at whatever career they choose to pursue in life”.

He went further to say that the full programme of events and line up of artistes for the event will be revealed in the coming weeks.

The festival consists of two main parts: the fashion & food and entertainment showcases. The entertainment showcase will present performances by both comedians and musical artists, while the fashion and food showcase will exhibit different Ghanaian and Nigeria fashion styles and food tasting contests.

Bahamas Collection Clothing Brand was founded by Mr Bright Okosodo Popularly known as “Richie Richie”. Founded in 2017, it was formally registered in Ghana in 2019 and only started full operations the same year.
