BANDITS Thursday night invaded Zurmi town in Zurmi Local Government Area of Zamfara State and abducted a yet to be ascertained number of people.
The abductors, according to the source, did not kill anybody but scared the hell out of the villagers, as they shot sporadically into the air, with a view to capture them as they ran.
Reliable source from the community who pleaded anonymity while confirming the incident, said the bandits seized the town at about 10:00pm.
The source disclosed that the bandits invaded the town three days ago, killed one person and rustled cows.
Several calls attempts to reach the Zamfara State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer went unanswered.
