WIFE of Bauchi State Governor Hajia (Dr) Aisha Bala Mohammed will be the special guest of honour in the finals of the on-going YSFON U- 15 boys football tournament slated for Sunday at the Abubakar Tafawa Belewa Stadium, Bauchi, the Bauchi State capital.
The week long championship which is being sponsored by the First Lady of the state will also have in attendance the National President of Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria Dr. Nasiru Gawuna, Bauchi State Commissioner of Sports Adamu Alhaji Manu and members of the state Executive Council among others.
Meanwhile the finals of the championship which will be preceded by the third place match between Jigawa and Gombe State will be between the host state Bauchi and Kaduna State. To get to the finals, Kaduna defeated Jigawa 5-2 while Bauchi beat Gombe 3-2 in an entertaining encounter full of fireworks.
Speaking on the championship, National President of Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFON) Dr. Nasiru Gawuna expressed delight at the level of the competition noting that Federation will ever be grateful to the Bauchi State Government for sponsoring the championship even as he promised members of the public that they will be thrilled by the kids who have all shown good football artistry since the commencement of the tournament about seven days ago.
