‘Be cultural ambassadors of our kingdom’

Monarch of Ajido in Badagry, Lagos State, Saheed Adamson, has urged youths to be their cultural ambassadors.

He spole at the finale of Ajido Panka Exhibition 2024/2025, organised by Ajido Youths Forum.

The monarch said youths in Ajido ‘’must be proficient in our language and be disciplined.’’

He added: “Youths and everyone in the community should see themselves as one.’’

Asiwaju of Ajido, Chief Adeyinka Amosu, said Panka Exhibition was another way of highlighting quarters and sectors of Ajido with food items peculiar to them.

Lagos State Commissioner for Home Affairs, Mr Ibrahim Layode, hailed the youth for organising the exhibition.

Akintoye Semako, chair of the event, said: ‘’It is our duty to honour, preserve and promote these traditions, upon which our community stands.’’

Hosea Ajoseh, president of the forum, said the purpose of the exhibition was to celebrate ‘’one of the traditions that make up our community.’’
