The report by the National Bureau of Statistics that about 133 million Nigerians live in poverty would be a recipe for a new dimension of hunger never witnessed in Nigeria. However, as gloomy as this looks, an NGO ‘Give Us Our Daily Bread’ Foundation is motivated to eradicate hunger against odds.
In a heartwarming development, beneficiaries of the ‘Give us Our Daily Bread’ Foundation have come forward to applaud the foundation’s efforts towards eradicating hunger in Nigeria. The foundation has been providing food assistance to families and individuals in need, and it appears that their efforts have not gone unnoticed.
One beneficiary, Omokhoa Solomon said: “Give us Our Daily Bread Foundation has impacted my family in so many ways.Despite the hardship and cashless situation of the country, i can still manage to take at least, two square meals a day.
Before the intervention of the foundation, the situation on ground was rough. However God reflected His light on me through this foundation to reach us.God will continue to bless them in the quest to eradicate hunger in the land”.
Another beneficiary, Chijioke Arinze said the ‘Give Us Our Daily Bread’ Foundation has reduced hunger in his family.
“Give our daily bread has impacted my ability to access food and reduce hunger in my household in many ways.It has been an avenue where we wait for God’s provision.
The NGO has saved us from debt.Thex have helped reduced hunger in my household because through them, we have not had cause to go hungry”.
Arinze noted that before joining the foundation, he has issues with feeding himself.
“Before joining this foundation last year, I usually face challenges pertaining to feeding.However since the intervention of the Foundation, our story has changed”.
Abiodun Oludayo, another beneficiary said: “God has been merciful to my household, he has used the foundation to bless and improve our livelihood, we have benefited countless times. God bless the donors. Now my family can boldly feed others from the token we’re blessed with here and also make some little savings for others to benefit from us”.
