Boardroom guru talks to AVMCC

THE congregation of Archbishop Vining Memorial Church Cathedral, Ikeja will be privileged on Sunday to listen to words of wisdom from an experienced player of the politics of the Boardroom in the organised private sector, This will be at the presentation of the cathedral’s quarterly lecture series: ‘God in my life’.

On hand to deliver the lecture will be the retired Anglican Bishop of Ife Diocese, the Rt Rev Oluranti Oluwole Odubogun.

The lecture will take place  in the auditorium of the AVMCC on November 13, beginning at 4.00pm under the auspices of the elite elders’ society at the cathedral, The Torchbearers.

An alumnus of the prestigious King’s College, Lagos, and the University of Lagos, where he studied Business Administration), Bishop Odubogun began life in 1969 in a management position with Lever Brothers Nigeria Plc, an affiliate of Unilever Plc of the United Kingdom. He later left to join Cadbury Nigeria Plc, where his talents were spotted and he was appointed an executive director.

After a successful career spanning over  25 years in Nigeria’s organized private sector, Mr Oluranti Odubogun entered the holy orders in 1995 by enlisting the theological training at the Lagos Diocesan Seminary from which he graduated with a diploma in 1997, thus becoming a deacon. In 10 years, he traversed the various priestly ranks and was consecrated Bishop of Ife Diocese in 2007. He retired from that position a few months ago.
