Body gets executives

Community leader, Olu Ayegbusi, has been elected president-general of Efon Alaaye Development Association.

Delegates from branches in Nigeria and Overseas also elected a new executive council to run the affairs of association for the next five years.

Also elected were ace broadcaster and retired Permanent Secretary, Kolawole Ajumobi, as vice president I and another business icon, Bamidele Jonathan Olagunju as vice president II.

Chairman of the seven-man Electoral Panel and a former Secretary General of Efon League, Prince Sunday Adeyemi-Adejolu, said the incumbent Secretary General, Afolabi Ige was re-elected for another term, with three new assistant  secretaries general – Michael Folayan, ASG I; Ojo Adekanmbi ASG II and Luke Temidayo as ASG III.

Others are Mrs. Kikelomo Ibidiran, treasurer; Dr. Ibukun Falayi,  Financial secretary; Peter Adeyemi, Publicity secretary; and  Olugbade Olu-Oluomo, Organising Secretary.

Also elected are a retired General Manager of Ekiti State Sports Council, Chief Ayodeji Samo,  Social secretary;  Joe Oluwarotimi Omidiji-Akinwumi, Internal auditor and Jacob Oludare Oke, chief whip.

Past Legal Adviser, Layi Obisesan administered the oath of office on the executives.

The Alaaye of Efon, Emmanuel Aladejare led the Alaaye-in-Council to pray for a successful outing for the new team.

 Aiyegbusi sued for cooperation and support of members and Efon Alaaye indigenes to take community development  in Efon Alaaye to a new height in the years ahead.
