The Association of Communication Scholars & Professionals of Nigeria (ACSPN) is to present its final research report on “Understanding Nigerian Media and Elections through Research: Analysis of the 2015 Presidential Election Campaign Messages”, to the public on July 4.
The venue is the Conference Room of the School of Transport, Lagos State University (LASU) Ojo, at 12noon. The programme, which is to hold at the School of Communication, is to be hosted by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Lanre Fagbohun.
The research was funded by Ford Foundation (West Africa) and was undertaken by the ACSPN in collaboration with North Dakota State University (NDSU), ORBICOM/UNESCO and other partners, including the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON).
Dean of LASU’s School of Communication, Prof Rotimi Olatunji, and Mr. Ayo Oluwatosin, Group Managing Director, Rosabel/Media Seal Ltd were joint team leaders of the project.
Representatives of the Ford Foundation, sponsors of the research and other dignitaries expected at the event are Acting Registrar, APCON, President NIPR, NUJ President, media organisations, the academic and professional communities.
