Governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun State, has charged the youths to support Muhammadu Buhari when sworn into office as President on May 29, in order to build a strong nation.
Represented by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Youths, Sports And Special Needs, Dr. Akinyinka Esho, at the swearing-in ceremony of the 2015 Batch ‘A’ Corps members deployed to state, the governor said the youths should be concerned with the future of the nation.
Aregbesola also enjoined the corps members to see their deployment to Osun State as an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the growth of the nation.
He charged them not to see the harsh economic environment around them as an excuse for engaging in social vices but rather to motivate them to good works.?
According to the governor: “I want you to know that the great men of today had once found themselves in challenging and very hard positions, but they decided to serve selflessly and diligently and that is the reason why many of them are now celebrated.”
Aregbesola, who assured the corps members of comfort during their orientation programme, enjoined them to be disciplined and carried out duties assigned to them faithfully.
