South-west Social Democratic Party has hailed former President, Muhammadu Buhari, saying he tried in face of challenges.
Zonal Secretary, Femi Olaniyi (aka Ferrari), spoke with News Agency of Nigeria in Lagos while reacting to the president’s broadcast.
Olaniyi, chairman of SDP in Lagos State, described Buhari’s address as a speech of hope for a better Nigeria.
“He (Buhari) tried his best but may not have satisfied many.
“Nevertheless, we should keep our hopes of delivering a better Nigeria in the incoming administration,” he said.
The SDP leader described Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’s election as a sweet victory, coming after a rigorously fought electoral process.
“I have absolute confidence in Tinubu’s capacity to turn around fortunes of the country and lead Nigeria to new economic prosperity and international relevance.”
