‘Buhari’s return shamed agents of death in Rivers’

The President, Ikwerre Bu Otu Peace Movement in Rivers State, Amb Prince I. Ihuonwo, has described the successful return of President Muhammadu Buhari back to the country  as a defeat for those who wanted him dead  and spread rumour to that effect.

Ihuonwo, in a  telephone chat with our reporter on President Muhammadu Buhari’s return yesterday, also cautioned Nigerians across religious and political barriers against playing the role of God in the affairs of the nation’s politics

He noted that it was wrong for a section of the politicians in Rivers State to dissipate time, energy and resources to  amplify the rumour simply because they don’t share his political view.

“Woe unto those that wished Buhari dead. Today he is back in the country alive. They should go and bury their faces in shame, especially those here in Rivers State.

“It is very painful and sad for  some very high ranking politicians in the state to be spreading the rumour that the president was dead and would not  return to the country alive.”

Ihunwo, who hails from Okporowo Ogbakiri, further said: “They have been put to shame now because I saw the President with my own eyes on national television stepping back into the country. So, the shame is now upon them that wished a man who only wish well for the country dead.

“Let me also use this opportunity to warn Nigerians, no matter your religion or political affiliation that they should allow God to judge everyone and not carry reports that are not true simply because they are not in the same party as the President.

“We must know that all power belongs to God and we cannot say when one man would die or when he would live. No man should wish any other man dead. It is very wrong and in bad taste,” Ambassador Ihuonwo added.
