Nigerian forward Victor Boniface has been nominated for Bundesliga Player of the Month for August in his debut month in Germany.
Boniface will battle Bayern Munich duo of Harry Kane, another player who just moved to Germany from Tottenham Hotspur and Alphonse Davies, as well as Wolfsburg striker Jonas Wind, Union Berlin’s Kevin Behrens and RB Leipzig defender Benjamin Henrichs for the award.

The 22-year-old scored two goals and provided one assist in two appearances for Leverkusen in August.
The striker is also in the running for the Bundesliga Rookie of the Month award.
Nigerian-born goalkeeper, Noah Atubolu and RB Leipzig’s Xavi Simons are the other players in the race for the award.
Boniface has so far scored four goals and registered one assist in three league appearances for Die Werkself in the German Bundesliga.
He linked up with Xabi Alonso’s side from Belgian Pro League club, Union St Gilloise this summer.
