Two British-Indian investors, Sudeep Ramnani and Jai Mahtani, have extended their outreach to less-privileged communities in Yaba and Eti-Osa local governments of Lagos State, to mark Nigeria’s 64th Independence.
It was aimed to support efforts to alleviate hunger and food poverty.
Through their representative, Beulah Akingbelu-Banjo, the businessmen distributed bags of rice, groundnut oil, and others to residents.

The outreach is part of their broader commitment to complement Federal Government’s efforts in tackling food insecurity and ensuring the vulnerable receive support. On their motivation, Ramnani and Mahtani noted importance of showing solidarity with Nigerians during this such milestone for the country.
“There is no better way to celebrate Nigeria than to seek the welfare and well-being of its citizens,” they said, noting need for collective efforts in addressing food poverty.
Both shared their plans for the outreach, saying it is intended to extend to all councils, targeting two at a time.
