Bendel Insurance‘s opponents in the CAF Confederation Cup, ASO Chlef of Algeria have named 22 players and 19 officials ahead of tomorrow’s first round tie billed for Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium Benin City, Edo State.
ASO Chlef arrived Nigeria yesterday via Lagos’ Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos with their 41 man contingent aboard Air Algerie.
ASO Chlef are the 2022-23 Algerian Cup winners and will be up against Nigeria’s Federation Cup holders, Bendel Insurance in a game the winner of both legs will proceed to the second round of the Africa’s second tier club competition.

ASO Chlef last met a Nigerian team in 2012 CAF Champions League group stage. They played Sunshine Stars twice in the group stage and lost both encounter 2-0 and 2-1 in that order.
Sunshine Stars beat ASO Chlef 2-0 at the Otunba Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu Ode with Dele Olorundare and Izu Azuka on the score sheets in the game played on August 5th 2012 while Tamen Medrano and Ukeyima Akombo scored the goals in the return leg played in Chlef on August 17th 2012.
Some of the players ASO Chlef on the trip with the 19 officials are Kacem Sofiane, Nessakh Chanseddine, Zenasni Ahmida, Edwin Mohutsiwa, Boussaid Abdelkader, Juba Aguieb, Aliane Yacine, Abada Achref, Hamza Abderrahim, Moulay Abdelaziz, and Alaouchiche Mohamed.
Others are: Addadi Toufik, Souibaah Mohamed, Belarbi Kamel, Achour Fatah, Arab Mohamed, Kerroum Ahmed, Debbari Abdelhak, Agbagno Yawo, Kellouche Houssam, Medjadji Mohamed and Sryer Boualem.
The return leg holds in Chlef next week Saturday with the winner on aggregate facing 2022 CAF Confederation Cup Champions, RS Berkane in the second round.
