    Why I feel like I won BBNaija season nine – Wanni

    Big Brother Naija season 9 runner-up, Wanni, said despite not taking home the grand prize, she believes she achieved victory.

    Wanni and twin sister, Handi, entered the show as a pair but Handi got evicted in week 8.

    On the finale day, October 6, The Nation reported Wanni secured the runner-up spot behind winner Kellyrae.

    In an interview with Pulse, Wanni expressed satisfaction with her accomplishments, citing brand promotion, personal growth, and meaningful friendships as her goals. 

    Feeling fulfilled, Wanni considers her Big Brother Naija journey a success.

    “For me, I feel like I won the show, because I achieved everything I went there for. I came to the show for three things: brand promotion, growth and friendship,” she said.

    Big Brother Naija Season 9 winner, Kellyrae has opened up about the constant financial requests from family and friends.

    After humorously sharing that he gave his wife Kassia N55 million from his prize money, Kellyrae said he received non-stop requests for financial assistance.

    In an interview with Hero Daniels, Kellyrae pleaded with those asking for financial favours to allow him to settle, stating he’s not yet a rich man and things are expensive.

    Kellyrae won a N60 million cash prize and a multi million SUV car in the BBNaija Season 9 competition.

    He said: “I was receiving calls people close to us after I said I gave Kassia N55 million and they were asking for their own share of my prize money,” he said.

    “I will like to say to everyone, I’m not a rich man yet please. The money is big but things are expensive. Even if it’s egg I want to buy, how many crates of eggs will I buy? Please allow a brother to settle.”

    Big Brother Naija Season 9 finalist, Victoria, has shed light on her complex history with fellow housemate, Shaun Okojie.

    In an interview with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Victoria revealed that she and Shaun had a tumultuous relationship before entering the reality show as a duo.

    Recall that their strained relationship sparked rumors of a romantic link, which Shaun already denied.

    Victoria also disclosed that Wanni, Shaun’s in-house girlfriend, had questioned her about their relationship before pursuing Shaun.

    Victoria emphasised that her high standards and emotional struggles made it challenging for her to connect with any male housemate in the house.

    She said: “I will be very honest: I and Shaun did have a bit of back and forth during the lockdown; we were fighting over silly things. Going into the house, he found his confidant, and I had to deal with a lot of emotions on my own.

    “Going into the house, I knew I wasn’t going to like anybody because my standard are very high, I know what I want. When I got into the house, I honestly did not see anybody that I liked. Even Wanni asked if me and Shaun had something, I told her no.”

    She demonstrated remarkable endurance and perseverance, outlasting her fellow contestants to become the last woman standing.

    In the final round, Wanni competed against Ozee, the last male standing, and ultimately won the car.

    On Monday, Innoson Motors officially presented the SUV to Wanni, fulfilling the prize promise.

    Big Brother Naija‘s “No Loose Guard” season has reached its climax, with finalists receiving an emotional wager task from Biggie.

    Housemates were instructed to reflect on their 10-week journey, highlighting the show’s impact and acknowledging supportive co-housemates.

    According to Biggie’s brief, the task requires each finalist to prepare a heartfelt speech detailing their personal growth, experiences, and the show’s overall impact.

    The eight finalists – Anita, Nelly, Wanni, Kellyrae, Ozee, Sooj, Victoria, and Onyeka will pour their hearts out, sharing moments that have defined their BBNaija journey.
