Actor Junior Pope Odonwodo aka Jnr Pope has sworn to go mad any day he attempts to beat his wife, Jennifer Awele.

He explained he would rather walk away than lay hands on her no matter the provocation because she’s been such a patient wife.

He recounted mortgaging her jewelleries with ‘aboki’s’ for money so that they could get by at the point when life was hard during an interview with the Punch

Speaking in an interview, Jnr Pope revealed he promised God and himself to lose his sanity any day he dares to raise hands on his wife.

He said: “Back then it seemed like it wasn’t working, it was not easy at all. I have not mentioned it before but to the glory of God, today let me share this.

“After I got married, the first year was not rosy; I collected my wife’s gold jewellery and used it to borrow money from ‘aboki’ (Hausa men who trade in gold and currency exchange).

“So, I give Him the glory for giving me a patient wife. Why would I want to touch a woman like this? God forbid.

“One thing I told myself and God is that, the day I lay my hands on my wife, let me run mad. Instead, I walk away.”

Popular entertainer Broda Shaggi has been hit by a ‘stray bullet’, which elicited his reaction.

Shaggi reacted after one social media user, Sir Vage, fired a bullet that strayed and affected the comedian in his house at the time.

Vage had teased Shaggi while applauding another social media user, Femi Uche, who resembled the humour merchant for graduating with an impressive GPA (Grade Point Average).

Femi Uche’s graduation post reads: “Just graduated with my MSc, 4.8GPA, and the Dean’s award but what’s more important is how good I looked in this suit.”

Sir Vage said: “Congrats man. Thought it was Broda Shaggi then I saw 4.8gpa,” accompanied with laughing emoji.

Feeling ‘slighted’, the award-winning comic act and singer said: “I dey my house jeje o. Una dey throw stray bullet. My God will judge.”

Singer Flavour N’abania has pulled a surprise visit to celebrate the birthday of his adopted son, Semah G Weifur.

Born Chinedu Okoli, the ‘Ada Ada’ hitmaker shared a video on his Instagram page that captured him with three daughters who wore their uniforms as they went to felicitate with his visually impaired teenage son on his birthday.

In the emotional video, Semah embraced his father, running his hand all over his face, pulled down his head slightly, and planted a kiss on his forehead, a sweet gesture that the singer reciprocated.

Flavour proceeded to introduce his sisters’ one after the other to Semah who stretched out his hands to touch their faces and hug them.

They had some family time in the bedroom and thereafter went out to properly celebrate Semah’s birthday anniversary in a posh restaurant.

The highlife singer captioned the video; “Happy Birthday Son, More Life and God’s Blessings.”

Social media users have commended Flavour for showing his adopted son, Semah the kind of love recommended by Christ as they also joined the family to celebrate the gifted teenager.

Semah Weifur, a Liberian who was born blind had always idolized Flavour as a young lad and one of his biggest dreams was to meet the Nigerian singer.

Finally, their paths crossed in March 2017 during Flavour’s visit to Liberia where he discovered the talented young Semah.

After he watched him perform his songs perfectly well at an event, that motivated him to do a song with him and he went on to adopt young Semah.

Semah bought the hearts of music lovers after Flavour featured him in his hit song “Most High” off his album, “Ijele the Traveller”.

Talent Manager Soso Soberekon has relayed factors responsible for the unhappiness of the contemporary couple in their union.

Soberekon explained partners were now more concerned about ‘unreasonable’ things forgetting the essence of marriage.

He said the modern-day man has become more interested in women with banging bodies while the latter now seek to date men with fat pockets.

Commenting on the crux of the marriage, the music executive pointed out that it should never be about looks or income but unfortunately, that had become the case reason why most couples were unhappy in their unions.

He insisted beyond physical appearance and means of livelihood, marriage ought to be a lifelong bond and unending friendship.

“Nowadays, Men are dating the BODY while women are dating the POCKETS. That’s why nobody is happy. Marriage is not about looks or income. It is a lifetime bond and an unending friendship”, he wrote.

Popular Street-hop artiste Portable has struck a blow on his colleague, Goya Menor, over condescending remarks about him in an interview.

Portable slammed Goya Menor for assuming himself a musician, bombarding the latter with questions to validate his achievement in the music scene.

In an interview with Hip TV Goya said Portable was nothing compared to him when asked to address the issue between them and he stated he had none with the latter. But suggested Portable had issues with himself and went on to analyse their case using the elephant and dog illustration.

“I don’t have an issue with him. I think he has an issue with himself. You understand me now. This question was asked last week and the reply I gave was, “The situation is like an elephant doing his thing. And you see one dog barking, hu hu hu!!’” Check the comparison, the elephant knows that with just one hit, this dog is dead. So, is no need to pay attention. The elephant just keeps moving, doing his own thing. And that’s the situation”, said the Edo-born rapper.

In his clap back video, the self-styled ‘wahala’ musician berated Goya Menor over his ‘You cannot compare Portable to me’ remark.

He consistently made jest of the hype while laughing sarcastically in between as he threw multiple questions meant to ‘scorn’ Goya Menor.

The self-titled ‘Baboo’ said: “EIS! Wait!! Dem dey call musicians, you dey comot? You? How many hits you sing? Goya Amenor, abi kino pe iya e no (or what do they call your mother?) How many shows you go? How many endorsements dem give am?

“E say, ‘You cannot compare Portable to me’. Who? You dey whine Jesus? O tu fe whine Muhammad no mo (you also now want to whine Muhammad too?)”

“Please how much music you sing? Please, talk! Goya Amenor abi ki no pe e? (or what are you called?) How many hits did you drop? Where you don travel go? How many? How many shows you post? How many endorsements do you collect? How many motor did you buy? How many hits?

He laughs sarcastically and continues, “I drop hits, back to back. Zazu! Who no know Zazu? I’m a baboon, Zazu!!!

“You blow reach me? Dem carry award give you. People wey give you award sef dem come dey regret say dem give you award,“ he continues to laugh hysterically.”

Born Goya Menor Bright, the fast-rising artiste won the “Best Street Hop Award” at the 2022 Headies alongside Nektunez with the song, “Ameno Amapiano, a category that had six nominees including the Portable.

It is assumed whatever resentment Portable exhibited towards Goya Menor is a result of the latter clinching the award which in his opinion should have come to Olamide, Poco Lee, and himself for their ‘Zazoo Zehh’ collaboration.

There’s more to the AY and Basketmouth feud than the supposed N30,000, Julius Agwu has said during a recent interview.

AY Makun claimed during an interview with Chude Jideonwo that the long-standing beef between him and his colleague, Bright Okpocha was sparked off because of an unpaid N30,000 which was meant to be payment for a performance on behalf of Basketmouth.

Though he didn’t state if the money was eventually paid to him but Basketmouth during his interview with Nedu and others on the ‘Honest Bunch’ podcast revealed AY was paid the money ultimately.

Basketmouth also said the assumed cause of their conflict was due to any N30,000 as AY claimed but was triggered by something else which he didn’t clearly state.

He explained AY said something which he (Baskemouth) heard that he oughtn’t while disassociating himself as being one of Makun’s friends.

Discussing the clash between his colleagues with the radio hosts on Naija FM, Agwu suggested the precursor was certainly something else other than the money which AY claimed.

He also opened up on how AY allegedly took over the date of his once popular show, ‘Laugh 4 Christ Sake’ which was celebrated on Easter Day and ‘cut the phone on his neck’ when he called to discuss the matter with him.

Expressing himself in Pidgin English, Julius Agwu said: “I no think say na just the N30,000 o! Maybe there’s more. Na we dey back stage, so, we no go fit know. Maybe, e get another thing wey dey vex dem. We dem carry for mind, carry for mind wey make dem no fit come together.

“You know, when you talk about certain things. Like ‘Laugh for Christ Sake’, you know say I don start am since. It was even celebrated every Easter Sunday.

“Make I talk now. ‘Laugh 4 Christ Sake’ na every Easter Sunday before AY begin do promo, say him dey do one show. I call AY dey talk to am say AY, that day is my date o! AY cut phone for my neck. I am sure, I dey sure.

“I dey do ‘Laugh 4 Christ Sake’ for that date. Na lie?! Every Easter. But e don tey wey I never do ‘Laugh 4 Christ Sake’. I dey tell you say I dey do ‘Laugh 4 Christ Sake’ before him take the date”, he noted, stressing how AY allegedly ‘hijacked’ his show’s date from him.

“So based on Basketmouth and AY dey quarrel say N30,000 naim cause am; it depends. Basketmouth dey vex for another thing, but he no bring am clear. That’s the fact.”

Actress Bukunmi Oluwasina has advised men to forgive and pray for their cheating wives. 

She began with unmarried couples, urging the men to forgive their girls and continue with their relationships if their partners ever had s3xual relations with their best friend.

She claimed the female gender was plaqued with forgetfulness as such they could possibly have forgotten that they decide to engage in coitus with was their partner’s bestie.

“We’ve been advising the women, today let’s advise the men,” she began.

“Let’s say your girl slept with your best friend and you want to break up with her. No now, she’s your girl. What if she forgot he’s your best friend?

“That’s how my gender people are, we forget things easily. Just forgive and move on. Love is forgiveness.”

Moving on to couples, the happily married film maker begged husbands to forgive the acts of infidelity their wives commit by mistake. 

She particularly begged those whose wives cheating act results in pregnancy to joyfully accept the children because they are blessings.

The mother of one suggested it would be wrong to end the union with one’s spouse for these reason, urging men to act as head of the family just, fight to redeem their erring wives and keep their homes.

“Or your wife mistakenly slept with somebody outside and got pregnant, forgive her.

“Every child is a blessing. Nobody is above mistake. Welcome the child, build your home. 

“Shebi it’s the head of the family they call you people? Ehn! You’re the one that will make your home work now,” she added. 

Addressing those husbands who would consider ending the marriage because of their wives illicit affairs, Bukunmi added “Or you want to leave your wife for the new guy? No! Fight for home, fight for your woman. 

“Okay, if you leave her now, do you know if the next person you would be with is going to sleep with your brother? 

“So, you need to act like the head of the family that they say you are.”

Insisting on forgiveness of cheating wives, the movie star advised husband to seek divine intervention in the ‘war room’, arguing their spouses could most likely be under a spell or going through some rough times which the ‘head of the house’ may be oblivious of.

“IF YOUR WIFE IS SLEEPING AROUND, PLEASE PRAY FOR HER. ENTER WAR ROOM. IT MIGHT BE SPIRITUAL. She might be going through a lot. What God cannot do does not exist.

Reality TV star Dorathy Bachor has shared with ladies the secret of achieving extraordinary glow with the help of men.

Bachor, who was the first runner-up in the 2020 Big Brother Naija (Lockdown edition), explained her tip is also applicable to single ladies despite its actualisation being hinged on men.

She said a lady, though single, could still achieve ‘blinding’ glow by having more than one boyfriend.

“You glow different when you got two boyfriends but you single,” the 27-year-old media personality wrote.
