    THE grandest of rhymes may not be enough to paint a perfect picture of the high-octane wedding of Cosmos Maduka Jnr to his beautiful wife, Tope. Neither would the most lurid adjective capture the splendor of the ceremony. Pure class was on display, from the venue’s decor, to the assemblage of high society bigwigs and the display of state of the art cars.

    The premises of the host church, Chapel of Healing Cross, Idi Araba, Lagos, gave away a sign of what to expect, with the venue parading latest models of Range Rover and BMW, among other exotic cars, and the couple arriving in a white Rolls Royce Ghost.

    Elegance was also on display at the breathtaking reception, held at the Oriental Hotel in Lagos. It will stand for long as one of the most memorable social events in the city of Lagos.

    Cosmas Maduka,Snr, the billionaire father of the groom and one of the leading figures in automobile business in Nigeria, showed that he was king in the industry. The boss of Coscharis Motors hosted the crème of the country’s happening crowd and treated them to an unforgettable reception.

    It was, in all, a well-attended wedding featuring the cream of high society, including the Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Adetona; Chief Willie Anumudu; Sir Tony Ezenna; Herbert Wigwe and many others.

Those who should know have said that the wedding will not only attract the crème de la crème of the high society in Lagos and its environs, it is also billed to be a royal affair as Lagos white cap chiefs are expected to grace the occasion because the bride’s father is one of Oba Rilwan Akiolu’s titled chiefs.

    The bride’s parents are known for throwing high profile parties. When the two families met for introduction some months ago, the event was the talk of the town. This time, King Sunny Ade is billed to dish out good music to the large number of guests expected at the event.

    The said wedding will take place in far away London, United Kingdom, with only close friends and family members of the bride and the groom, Benedict, expected to grace the occasion because of the distance. The couple are currently in London preparing for the wedding.

    It will be recalled that Rolari and Benedict had their traditional engagement ceremony at the Afrika Shrine, Agidingbi, Ikeja, Lagos on Saturday, June 27, 2015. The wedding was well attended by friends and family members.

    Indeed, there are many ways to describe Nnena’s father, but there might never be enough adjectives to capture his good nature. Last Saturday marked the fifth anniversary of his death, which occurred on July 4, 2010.

    He is survived by his lovely wife, Hon. Justice Rose Ukeje (rtd), as well as Hon. Nnena Ukeje and her siblings.
