Dede opens up about BBNAIJA experience

First runner-up of Big Brother Naija Season 10, Dede Ashiogwu, has shared insights into her journey on the reality show, describing the experience as transformative and deeply fulfilling.

Speaking in Guinness Africa’s “The Dip” series, Dede reflected on her time in the Big Brother house, her personal development, and her relationships with fellow housemates.

She said reaching the final felt like a blessing, expressing gratitude for the support she received throughout the competition.

“At that time, I actually felt way more grateful than anything. I felt blessed. I’d always rooted for the winner, Imisi, so being the first runner-up was a huge thank-you moment to God,” she said.

Dede credited the show for broadening her perspective and helping her grow emotionally and mentally. She described Imisi as the funniest housemate, while naming Jason and Koyin as the most competitive. She added that she was the most unpredictable among them.

Addressing her earlier remarks about Jason, Kola, and Koyin being her “fishes,” Dede clarified that her statement had been taken out of context, though she understood why fans might have misinterpreted it.

Looking ahead, the reality star revealed that she has several exciting projects in the works and promised fans fresh, stylish, and engaging content. She also expressed her eagerness to explore new opportunities and continue improving her craft.

When asked how Guinness would describe her personality, Dede smiled and replied, “All smooth, charm, and rich energy.”

  • Why I no longer create binge-eating contents – Asherkine

Why I no longer create binge-eating contents – Asherkine

Popular content creator Asherkine has revealed that he stopped producing binge-eating videos because it negatively impacted his health and well-being.

According to him, creating such content led to gluttony and health issues, including general discomfort, heart palpitations, excess weight gain, irregular sleep patterns, high blood pressure, and constant fatigue.

He said he realised he had lost the concept of moderation, often eating mindlessly and excessively, even when not creating content.

Asherkine said he struggled with compulsive eating disorder and emphasised the importance of taking the condition seriously.

He shared his personal experience to raise awareness and encourage others to pay attention to their eating habits.

He wrote, “I never answered to why i paused making this type of food content; i genuinely enjoyed clearing up over 5 different meals regularly until my body told me.

“Even though i had an active lifestyle at the time and tried to stay fit , i lost the concept of moderation as mindless binge eating became the OOTD even when i wasn’t creating content. i wouldn’t stop eating until i started to feel abdominal discomfort.

“Despite being full asl , i always wanted to keep eating! gluttony had made its way. asides the general discomfort , heart palpitations, excess weight gain , irregular sleep , sneaky high blood pressure count, constant fatigue and so on… the mental battle to beat gluttony is probably the hardest thing to deal with.

“I can’t express how disrespectful gluttony is and how much power it holds but it’s mad underrated. It’s 2 years after and i still chat to the pit in my tummy.

“If you struggle with COMPULSIVE EATING DISORDER , shout out you. pay attention, i’m no health practitioner but don’t underplay it.

Although he no longer creates binge-eating content, Asherkine continues to produce food-related videos, but in moderation.

“I’ll still make food content but definitely not in such volume”, he added.

Mistreating wives could ruin men – Rita Edochie

Actress Rita Edochie has argued women are spiritual, virtuous, and substantial individuals who work with God’s heart and have the power to make or break a man.

Edochie, on Instagram, warned men that mistreating women can lead to severe consequences, including the loss of their success and happiness.

She cautioned men against causing pain and frustration to women, stating that their lives as men can be jeopardised.

She emphasised that every right-thinking woman is a strong vessel and not as weak as societal labels may suggest.

Edochie wrote: “A good woman is the engine of every home. Argue with your keypads, na me talk am and na out of experience. Behind every successful man, there’s a good spiritual woman. Believe it or not, women are spiritual, virtuous, and substantial.

“Women work with God’s heart, They have the power to make and unmake you, you could be doing well today with one woman you care about, but the very moment you stop showing her love, start hitting her, talking down on her, cheating on her, sleeping outside, rejecting her food and frolicking with ladies on the night street, your glory as a man starts dropping drastically.
By the time she gets fed up and decides to walk away, trust me, your life will be in misery, and you will begin eating your own tears.”

“It’s simple: do not cause someone’s daughter pain and frustration, because your life as a man can be jeopardised. Every right-thinking woman is a strong vessel. And she is not as weak as the saying has labelled her to be. The heart of a woman plays a vital role in the success or failure of her man. Treat your woman well and enjoy your home in peace”.
