Dayo Amusa urges fans to prioritise happiness, set boundaries

Actress Dayo Amusa has advised people to prioritise their happiness and well-being by setting clear boundaries and avoiding the habit of saying yes to everything just to please others.

She noted that no one was born to live in constant stress or misery for the comfort of others, reminding her audience that they are not pushovers.

Amusa, a mother of one, also emphasised personal responsibility, stressing that the world owes no one anything and that individuals must own their choices, as their current situations are shaped by decisions rather than circumstances.

“Start protecting your time & your happiness. If others can’t handle it, kick them out & don’t look back. Don’t ever feel bad for deciding your own life that upsets others. You are not responsible for their happiness but yours. Anyone who wants you to live in misery for their happiness should not be in your life to begin with.

“The world owes us nothing. We are where we are because of our decisions, not because of our circumstances. Stop whining and start taking responsibility for yourself.

“You have the power within you to overcome anything that life throws at you. There is nothing as helpful as a made-up mind. Surround yourself with people who remind you that you matter & support you in the ways that matter most to you. No person, situation, or circumstances can define you. Be big & bold enough to say this is my life! And I am responsible for it.”
