Rapper Odumodublvck has declared his steadfast dedication to the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), stating that if he had a billion naira to give, he would willingly contribute it, and even more.

In a post on X, he stressed that serving God is a matter of the heart, not a forced obligation, and that financial contributions alone do not guarantee spiritual salvation.

He affirmed that he and his household would continue to support the work of Christ without shame, regardless of criticism.

Odumodublvck wrote, “If I had a billion to contribute to the RCCG, I would do it and even more. It is not by force to serve the Lord; they did not say that if you do not drop 1bn, you will not enter heaven. As for me and my household, we will continue to support the work of Christ shamelessly, no matter what you people throw at us. You are just fulfilling the scriptures. God bless you.

“We have made it a norm to desecrate the idea of supporting the church. Shey na Holy Spirit dey fuel the gen? Na Holy Spirit go pay for logistics for evangelism? The church needs money, much more money than the average business. Do you have an idea of the number of people your priest or local pastor supports? After church, you and your family just go to Mr Biggs and have a nice weekend. You should be thankful you are not amongst those who have to wait behind to get small handouts from the pastor.”

He wrote, “Life isn’t all about making money or chasing economic power; some people find comfort and solace in spirituality or religion. Even the China you all speak of has monks and spiritualists who have found peace in their search and pursuit of eternal life with no interest in the wealth of the world. Because you haven’t experienced life events that have left you with no choices doesn’t make you wiser; a billion religious people can’t all be stupid. Just live and let live.

“The Church funded and advised me to pursue a career in filmmaking. The church gave me a platform to discover my acting and directing skills at drama nights when the hood or trenches had social clubs or neighbourhood theatre houses. I know everyone has their frustrations and arguments, but please give the church a breathing space. If I calculate my whole family offering for 10 years growing up, and not reach 20k.
