Etinosa Idemudia reacts as movie ‘Secret Keeper’ removed from YouTube

Actress Etinosa Idemudia popularly known as Etinosa, has expressed her devastation after her movie, “Secret Keeper”, was removed from YouTube due to copyright claims.

In an Instagram post, the actress revealed she poured her heart and soul into the project, investing years of dreaming, months of work, and countless sleepless nights.

Etinosa questioned the motives of the complainant, wondering why they would take down her movie, which she believes they had no right to claim.

She wrote, “I just got the most painful notification ever. My film — Secret Keeper that I poured my ideas, my money, time, and sweat, and every piece of my heart into — was unfairly taken down by someone who has no right to claim it. “Diamond Films”, I don’t know who you are, and I’m dying to know why you will do such a wicked thing to me. I’m so hurt because this project isn’t just a video to me, it’s years of dreaming, months of work, sleepless nights, and everything I had to give. To see it removed so cruelly. It feels like. TikTok restricts late-live access in Nigeria amid safety probe

TikTok has temporarily blocked access to its LIVE feature in Nigeria during late-night hours (11pm-5am) as part of an ongoing safety investigation, the platform announced in an in-app notice on Sunday.

The restriction, which prevented users from hosting or viewing LIVE sessions, including broadcasts from other countries, was lifted by Monday morning.

The platform sent a system notification to users stating, “LIVE Notices. TikTok LIVE Update in Nigeria. We’re temporarily limiting LIVE late at night in Nigeria as part of our investigation to ensure our platform remains safe and our community stays protected.”

TikTok Live is an in-app feature that allows users to broadcast in real-time, fostering direct engagement with viewers through comments and virtual gifts, unlike pre-recorded videos, creating interactive sessions for Q&As, talent showcases, or just chatting.

Creators who earn through LIVE gifting have been assured that their balances and previous earnings remain intact, mitigating concerns of financial loss.

According to checks by The Nation, only creators with at least 1,000 followers, the minimum requirement to host a LIVE session, received the notification.

Several confirmed that all LIVE activities had been halted overnight, sparking discussions across social media as users speculated about the cause of the sudden, nationwide restriction.

Night-time hours are typically peak periods for Nigerian streamers who host matches, entertainment segments, trends, and other interactive sessions that attract viewers and virtual gifts.

This development comes weeks after TikTok released updated safety statistics for West Africa. During its West Africa Safety Summit in Dakar, Senegal, the company disclosed that it took action against 2,321,813 LIVE sessions and 1,040,356 LIVE creators globally for violating its LIVE Monetisation guidelines in the second quarter of 2025.

In Nigeria alone, 49,512 LIVE sessions were banned within the same period.

TikTok also reported removing 3,780,426 videos in Nigeria between April and June 2025 for breaching Community Guidelines, with 98.7% taken down before being viewed and 91.9% removed within 24 hours.

Why I converted from Islam to Christianity – Sola Allyson

Singer Sola Allyson has revealed that a childhood shaped by family separation, religious exposure, and personal discovery led to her conversion from Islam to Christianity.

Born Rasheedat into a Muslim family, Allyson, in a recent interview on Oyinmomo TV, said she spent her early years with her maternal grandmother in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun state, practising Islam.

Speaking further, she said her life took a turn when she moved to Ikorodu, Lagos, to live with her father’s parents, where she reconnected with an old friend who introduced her to Christianity.

Allyson acknowledged her Islamic roots, appreciating the meaning of her birth name, “someone who is wise”.

She said, “When I moved to Ikorodu to live with my father’s parent, I met one of my old friends there. I used to follow her to her church. You know I was born a Muslim. My father was a Muslim. I was named Rasheedat,” she said.

“I do not hide it. I researched the name since I was young. The meaning makes me happy. The meaning of the name is ‘someone who is wise’.

“During those times that I stayed in Ikorodu, I used to sometimes sleep at my friend’s place whenever I followed her to church.

“I read a lot. I have studied Buddhism. I read grey literature. I lived among both again Christians where my parents were not present.

“I did not have too much choice on myself because of where I have lived. When I was in Ijebu-Ode, we had to observe all five times of Islamic prayers. And later, when I lived with some Christians, it was expedient that I practice their religion”.

According to her, she prioritised knowing God’s will over practising a specific religion, allowing her to adapt to different environments.

“To me, knowing the will of God is better than practicing a certain religion. If I am with anyone practising any other religion, we would naturally flow”, she said.

  • Why I’m qualified to become next Awujale of Ijebuland, by KWAM1

Why I’m qualified to become next Awujale of Ijebuland, by KWAM1

Fuji music superstar, King Wasiu Ayinde, popularly called K1 De Ultimate has addressed critics over his decision to contest for the vacant stool of the Awujale and Paramount Ruler of Ijebuland.

Recall last week, K1 De Ultimate formally declared interest in the vacant throne of the Awujale of Ijebuland.

Before K1’s entry, the race had already attracted notable candidates, including a 45-year-old prince from the Adeberu lineage of the Fusengbuwa Ruling House, Olaseni Ottun, and prominent engineer and entrepreneur Otunba Babatunde Alatise.

In a letter to the chairman of the Funsengbuwa Ruling House dated the 3rd of December, the Fuji icon expressed his intention to vie for the vacant stool, declaring himself a bonafide son of the ruling house, tracing his ancestry to the Oba Jadiara lineage.

He said, “I, Otunba Wasiu Ayinde Adewale Olasunkanmi Omogbolahan Anifowoshe, MON, hereby formally notify the Fusengbuwa Ruling House of my intention to be considered for the vacant stool of the Awujale of Ijebuland, subject strictly to the provisions of Ijebu customary law and the Ogun State Chieftaincy Laws.

“I was born on 3rd March, 1957, and I am a bonafide son of the Fusengbuwa Ruling House of Agunsebi Quarters, tracing my ancestry to the Oba Jadiara lineage, which qualifies me to present myself for consideration in accordance with established tradition.

“I have devoted over five decades to the promotion of Ijebu, Yoruba, and Nigerian culture through music and cultural enterprise.”

Reacting in the now-viral video on his YouTube page, Kwam 1 said, “Those who gave birth to me know me, and I also know them. There’s no side for petty talks. I’m from a royal lineage.

“I’m from the Fidipote ruling house, I’m also from the Fusengbuwa ruling house of Ijebu-Ode. So, whoever wants to question me, we’ll meet at the field. If it is because of my declaration for the throne, it is my right. You can’t silence me.

“Before the late Awujale Oba Sikiru Adetona passed on, he was of sound mind. He was well lettered, learned and intelligent. He did all findings and investigations well.

“If I’m not from a royal lineage I won’t have be installed as the Olori Omo-Oba and Otunba Afidipotemole of Akile Ijebu in 2023 by the late Awujale.

“From both my maternal and paternal sides i.e My father’s father and my mother’s father. They are Kings. I’ve right to the Awujale stool.

“To all Ijebu people, the matter on ground does not cause for fight. When a good thing is to happen to someone, it first comes with controversies. God will make reveal the truth to us all.

“We are all from royal lineage, and there are many princes. Anyone who eventually emerges, we’ll all work together in unison. We are all concerned about the development of Ijebu land. If I’m not capable, late Awujale won’t confer on me the Olori Omo-Oba title.

“The story of my life is on the tale of two Sikirus. One gave me Fuji, some people back then were angry, but it didn’t change anything. The second Sikiru who is the late Awujale, he gave me double title of Olori Omo-Oba and Otunba Afidipotemole of Akile Ijebu.

“This will be the final time, I’ll be speaking on this matter. All princes, we are all one. We shouldn’t be in war or be fighting against ourselves.”

Sola Allyson speaks on spiritual growth, self-discovery

Renowned singer Sola Allyson has opened up about her unique spiritual journey, describing it as an “ÀÌGBỌDỌ̀MÁRÌN one”, a path that is uncommon and perhaps misunderstood by others.

In a post on X, Allyson reflected on her experiences, revealing the loneliness and isolation that come with walking a unique path.

She shared how she had to learn to stop trying to fit others into her space or trying to fit into theirs, recognising that her soul is “encoded” for this journey.

The singer, who converted to Christianity from Islam, emphasised that she has stopped trying to fix others or herself, placing her trust in a higher power.

Allyson wrote, “See, the kind of walk I’m walking, I have not met or seen anyone walking it before.

“Therefore, the kind of expressions I would express, average minds would not comprehend it. They would only try to approach and analyse with top-of-the-mind answers wrapped in ego, which have not saved anyone thus far. The walk is an ÀÌGBỌDỌ̀MÁRÌN one…

“I longed to meet them, actually. They who are this way, or almost. I was open. I thought it would make the loneliness go, and at least I would have some comfort, a cover. I even erroneously “fixed” people into that space, at the slightest similarity…

“Until I had to learn in a really HARD way that I can never fix or fit people into what they’re not, that space that I hadn’t fully recognized at that time…

“And those that I gave that power to, they too tried to fix me—unfixed ones attempting to fix me in their unfixed.

“I tried to fit into their fixings. Oh, I tried. Because I needed them. Since I had none, that’s mine. I really tried. Good Girl. Good Woman! But, ha, what’s inside me is “too much” for what anyone can squeeze into a fit that’s not mine…

“Till I reached the point where I needed to enter an igbó ÀÌGBỌDỌMÁWỌ́ that only me must enter! And oh, fear! But it was beyond me, and I must! My soul was already encoded with it!

“I could have been finished there, but GRACE and HELP from Above accompanied me! And I came out on this side! And now, the ÀÌGBỌ́DỌ̀MÁṢE…

“Having learnt my life lessons that hard way, I stopped trying to fix anyone to fit them into that space. The space of this kind of walk I was chosen for walk. But why me? Ha. But who are me?!  “Who am I” to determine the choosing?! It is out of my hands. Ok. But I receive strength and constant holding!

“For the sake of others like me. Sent souls drowned in sentiments…But ìjẹ́rísí abounds! I have JOY! The comfort with which I am being comforted comforts others, and that comforts me! Maybe this is still misunderstood. But I have just begun!

“I was made, chosen for this. Equipped. With all those junctions I traversed. All I need is added unto me as I go! ṢÈ’MỌ́LẸ̀, my new work, is on major digital platforms. Let you be helped.”

Entertainment promoter Obio Oloyejulius rewards recipients in Abuja

Abuja came alive on Monday, December 1st, as High Chief Obio Oloyejulius, an entrepreneur, entertainment promoter, and real estate investor, awarded recipients with plots of land during a star-studded ceremony in the nation’s capital.

The event, described by attendees as unusually vibrant for a weekday, brought together notable figures from Nigeria’s entertainment and cultural scene. Nollywood stars Mercy Aigbe, Toyin Abraham, Sarah Martins, Yomi Fash-Lanso, Saheed Balogun, Jaiye Kuti, and Femi Branch attended, alongside music veteran Eedris Abdulkareem, filmmaker Samuel (Bigsam) Olatunji, and Commissioner DJ Wysei, who curated the night’s music.

The highlight of the evening was the presentation of special awards to selected individuals, with each award accompanied by a plot of land—a gesture observers described as uncommon in Nigeria’s award culture.

Speaking to guests, High Chief Oloyejulius explained his rationale for the initiative. “Awards should not end as something people hang on their shelves,” he said. “If we say someone has contributed value, then the reward should equally carry value. For me, giving land is symbolic—it represents stability, legacy, and a foundation people can build their dreams on. I want to honour Nigerians in a way that genuinely empowers them. My goal has always been impact, not noise, and this is one of the ways I hope to contribute to the growth of those doing meaningful work.”

He added that his activities in real estate and entertainment are rooted in creating long-term opportunities. “I believe influence should be used for the good of others. Whatever platform I have, I want to use it to uplift, inspire, and give people something tangible to hold on to,” Oloyejulius said.

Operating from Karu, Abuja, High Chief Obio Oloyejulius has built a reputation as a real estate mogul, mediapreneur, and entertainment promoter. Monday’s ceremony appears to mark his most ambitious public initiative to date.
