Quantum energy health market: Double plus tracks Chymall

Nature abhors a vacuum. So, it is not surprising that the huge Nigerian quantum energy health market which CHYMALL dramatically vacated  in 2021 through  its global exit has been taken over in 2024 by another  company… DOUBLE PLUS.

The spiritual and material growth of humanity are programmed and governed by forces beyond the earth in  phases we may call the Ages. We are in a new Age, acquarius, should, therefore, expect new activities. It is possible guidance to, and exposure to, quantum energy is a gift for humanity in acquarius.

At its peak in Nigeria before COVID 19 erased it from the global business map, Chymall had six million subscribers worldwide, more than  three million of them Nigerians. That meant, at a minimum subscription of about N106,000 in an investment spectrum or sky line which spread beyond N500,000, three million Nigerians may have  provided this company work capital over #300,000,000,000, every month.  The market was still growing in 2021 when Chymall suddenly gave way.

Double plus may have come to Nigeria to fill this gap in the quantum energy subsector of the natural health market. It seems poised, however, to do much more than that. Before I explain why, I would like to explain what quantum energy is all about for persons who are just hearing about it. The starting point, of course, is high schoool chemistry, biology or physis.  In these science subjects, we learned  EVERY LIFE FORM IS A GRADATION OF ENERGY, WITH OR WITHOUT PHYSICAL FORM. Petrol is a form of energy. Yet it is not quantum energy. Nevertheless, its powers cars and machines.  Who will not give way to a speeding  car on a high way?  Who will not flee from a roaring earthquake or hold an umbrella with a metal handle over his or her head in a stormy rainfall filled with dangerous thunder claps? Energy is at work in these events. Energy moves our cars, trains, ship, aeroplanes and space rockets. Energy powers the batteries of our cell phones and laptops. Globally, there is a rush for solid minerals with bigger energy potentials for a new grade of batteries which will take the internet to higher possibilities.

In the human body, how much energy our cells can produce will determine whether we are healthy or sick. The soldiers of our immune system and the organs of the immune system alike require energy to successfully engage and overcome the germs and the toxins which may damage or kill our systems. For us to supply them energy for their work, and for the various systems of our bodies to function optimally, mother nature loaded the foods, fruits, herbs and drinks she provided us with lots of energy. Many of us do not know how to combine these gifts with greatest effects and, so, go about our lives with energy deficits, weak and weary and sick and easily assailable by such things we call “stress” and “disease”. If your tongue is not pinkish red but grayish white, a condition doctors call oral trush, this may suggest Candida, a form of yeast, is overgrowing its population in your intestine because your immune system does not have the energy to stop it. The toxins of candida may poison and weaken the organs or even cause mental confusion. There is yet another source of energy. We humans are not our bodies, we are the “breath of life” or the spirit energy who inhabits each human body. Our energy is partially responsible for the energy of the clay or earth body. When we are happy, more energy flows from us into our bodies. When we are sad the out flow is poor and the body cannot be on the go. It drags, is lethargic. There are other sources of energy. Basically, they are all RADIATIONS, of which mankind learned in the last century they would be educated about in the future. This information came from REVEALED KNOWLEDGE. It is possible that the time has come for humanity to consciously begin to apply the knowledge of radiation in their healing arts, for many applications of it are popping up every where.

    QUANTUM ENERGY

Quantum Energy gadgets are derived from special metals and minerals which have been discovered to exhibit certain unique energy out puts which positively impact on specific organs or parts of the body or holistically on the entire system. As we may soon read, they help to wake up sluggish cells of the body, quicken metabolism, re-arrange weaker molecules,  energise the tissues, promote blood circulation, increase energy potentials of the whole body and, among other benefits, offer the potentials  for longevity.

    DOUBLE PLUS

Earlier, I promised to explain why I believe Double Plus is more unique than Chymall in the Nigerian quantum energy market. Chymall came to Nigeria for the business, whereas Double Plus is coming to be part and parcel of the Nigerian economy. In those bygone days when the Yorubas appeared to not  adequately understand life in the worlds beyond the earth, they often said of departed … A O MO BI ENI KU TI N RIN (We do not know how the dead walks). I mention this expression for two reasons. One is that more than three million Nigerians who were disappointed, financially and emotionally hurt by the sudden disappearance of Chymall may be unwilling to have anything to do with investment in the quantum energy market. They may erroneously  assume Double Plus is a recarnation of Chymall or sibling company. No, it is neither. The second reason is that I am tempted to say Double Plus would not disappear like Chymall because of its potential Nigerianess. I know I would be told I am not  EDGAR CAYCEE a.k.a. “the man who saw tomorrow”. However, I am optimistic because of promises that Double Plus has brought its business capital  from China to Nigeria,  not just to manufacture its quantum energy gadgets, but to also make Nigeria the world headquarter of its operations, not just a manufacturing headquarter for West Africa or Africa, as some  foreign  companies may  do, but as the operations headquarters of the planet earth!

I have an idea. Expansion in information technology sciences has grown the internet and artificial intelligence (AI) industries to the point were lighter weight but high density and more powerful energy batteries are required for all sort of  gadgets, including mobile phones, laptops, table tops, electric motors, solar energy systems etc. This new generation of batteries is  made from powerful solid minerals. Some of them  are known, also,  for generating quantum energy for health purposes. Nigeria has large underground mountainous deposits of some of these solid minerals, stretching several kilometres across states such as Kogi, Plateau, Nasarawa, Oyo, Ekiti,  Cross River and Kwara.

Some of them are rated a little over four points compared with several current best global values averaging about 0.4 points. Abundance of these highly valuable solid minerals in Nigeria has led to a flood of illegal mining of solid minerals which, shockingly, has spread to the grounds of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile Ife.

Elon Musk, fabbled in March 2024 to be worth $215 billion dollars in shares, has been eyeing Nigeria for business since 2002 with proposals for a starlink satalite investment for deeper and wider internet  penetration of this country. He is a stubborn investor who never gives up on his dreams. He bought Twitter, now called X for $44 billion, even if the value will later deep to $19 billion before it rose again. Elon  Musk has been to Nigeria to ask the Federal Government for a licence to mine Nigeria’s solid minerals for his global business.  This would include batteries for electric cars, and space satilites. Corrupt public officials would have obliged him. The government said he would be given the license only if he manufactured the products in Nigeria. If, indeed, Double Plus is to conduct its manufacturing in Nigeria and from here sell its products worldwide, this is a proof guarantee that the network business under which the company’s products would be marketed is unlikely to disappear without notice as ChymallL and several online businesses in Nigeria.

    SOME PRODUCTS

Double Plus sells some well known Chymall quantum energy products and more sophisticated ones Chymall did not.

    EYE GLASSES

They brought me into Chymall.  I was glaucoma challenged. In Africa, we do not take enough care of our eyes. They pick dust, smoke, gaseous and environmental toxins everywhere. Above all, the blue spectrum of the tropical, scorching sunlight biochemically degrades them. The diet is short on eye antioxidants to neutralise these impacts. Accordingly, many of us have reddish eyes which may be evidence that the eye is not getting enough blood, oxygen and other nutrients. You may be amazed, if you look into a mirror and compare the colour of your eyes with  a child’s.  In some persons, the blood vessels leak into the eye or are blocked, reducing blood, oxygen and other nutrients flow, or reducing the amount of toxins and waste products for evacuation. Delicate structures may be damaged.  At about 27, I began to notice dot-like luminous, floaters. At 45, I saw the rainbow around a candle light, a sign of glaucoma eye doctor say has many possible causes. The bottom line is that the eye may be de-energise, collapsing some features and functions.

The quantum energy minerals in the frame of the Double Plus power eye glasses are reported in the products literature to help to energise the eye structures, improve blood circulation, strenghten the blood capillaries and other vessels, among other benefits. The lense does the same and, in addition, absorbs and disintegrates those dangerous blue wave lense of sunlight which cause photo oxidative damage, including cataract of the gelatinous eye lense.

Double Plus says its own lense has nine protective layers. One disadvantage in the first generation Chymall quantum eye glasses, which was corrected in the second generation and which Double Plus ably addressed  in two varieties of its  eye glasses, is the flimsy frame.  Chymall frame breaks easily, making the user to transfer the lense to a non- quantum energy frame. The first has solid, screw-on quantum energy  frame  and a plain lense which may be replaced with recommended optical lense if so desired. The other one has solid quantum frame and lense.

    ENERGY BOTTLE SPRAY

As with Chymall bottle spray, that of Double Plus comes with 50 years warranty. Quantum energy minerals are in the spray bottle, which may be as small as perfume bottle. Water loaded into it and left on for some time is said to neutralise odour of fermentation in foods and drinks, ease headache, help wound healing, tooth and gum problem, bad breathe, calms nerves and tensions, among other uses. The spray nozzle may be blocked by substances less viscous than water, as I  discovered. Haven’t found that several pharmacy beta blocker eye drops were bad for my system, I had to turn to bitter kola eye drops which I loaded into the spray bottle for extended shelf life and energy. I found another way to use the spray bottle. I open it and aspirate the content with the glass siphon of an eye drop bottle from which I then dispense the energised content into my eyes. I also spray the eyes with energised water morning and night, from Double Plus  Quantum energy spray bottle… Like the eye glasses, energised  water from the quantum energy spray bottle calms tired, sore  or aching eyes from prolonged phone or computer exposure.

    FOOD, BOWL, PLATE, CUP

Chymall did not have these ones. The bowl  energises foods,  drinks and water, like the cup. My friend poured water into the bowl, wet his fingers and ran them around the rim of the bowl. The bowl began to hum. He asked me to touch any part of it. I withdrew my fingers immediately by reflex action. It was as though they were stung by electrical currents. These were electrical or energy current from the minerals content of the bowl transmitting quantum energy into the water and my fingers. Energising it, molecules of the water are re-arranged to make the water molecular ligher yet more powerful. Such water will far more easily than heavy water dissolve all those mineral stones and fatty plaque in cellular circulation pathways, powerfully cleansing and rejuvenating cells, tissues, organs, systems. Please check Dr. Masaru Emoto  online. About a decade ago, he showed us in an experiment that the words and the sounds (music) we are exposed to govern water molecules in our bodies and, since our bodies are about 70% of water, wether we live long, free of disease and pain, or die young, riddled with disease depends on the molecular structure of water within our bodies. In one demonstration with the quantum energy bowl, a heavily-built six footer gentleman sat comfortably on a chair  holding the bowl which made him become so light in weight that four women lifted him about one meter up with only eight fingers, two on either armpit and two on either knee fold. What I saw as an only minus in the bowl and the cup is that they are breakable! I was told, nevertheless, that the splinters are still active and may be used in water dispensers or in overhead water tanks.

    MALE BOXERS/FEMALE BOXER

Chymall withdrew its quantum energy boxer for men. It never had one for women who, I believe, need something like men. The Chymall male quantum energy boxer had some chips factored into it and was threaded for energy transmission to pelvic organs.  When the bottom of a  low energy bulb was placed on the chips point line, the bulb lit up! The   boxer was meant to give its energy to tissues and organs in the Second Chakra region (the pelvic) and, perhaps, up to the Third Chakra (above the navel) with some benefits also for the First Chakra (from the sacral bone down the legs to the feet). Please, read more about CHAKRA ENERGY on the internet. I am concerned more about the Second Chakra which is the location of the prostate gland in the pelvic region, the urinary bladder, challenged of male sexual vitality, prostate gland inflammation, enlargement and cancer, urinary incontinence and urgency, and some kidney problems. In alternative medicine, some of these conditions are attributed to Second Chakra energy insufficiency which the quantum energy boxer may help to correct. A woman’s Second Chakra organs may also benefit from this device. Double Plus has one for women. For the Second Chakra is the “home” of ovaries, fallopian tubes, cervix, uterus, the woman’s secret place and the urinary bladder, among others. Among the problems here are infertility, irregular, painful, scanty, excessive menstruation, endometriosis, fungal and bacterial infections, incompetent cervix, ectopic and pesudo pregnancy, blocked tubes, ovarian cyst and onset of the hot flashes of menopause, among several others.

    QUANTUM ENERGY TELOMERES ACTIVITOR LIGHTS

Chymall did not have this one. It is a rubber device which emits seven lights. How they work is different from the way we know the seven colours of the seven chakras to work. In the seven chakras, red is the colour of the First Chakra, followed by orange (pelvic), yellow (abdomen), green (heart and lungs), blue (throat), indigo (eye) and violet (crown of the head). Many health challenged  persons have not heard  of the TELOMERES. About 15 years ago, Mrs. SOLA SOWEMIMO exposed to me medical research literature of Dr. AL SEARS. I learned about the telomeres from him while I was searching for natural boosters for optic nerve health and longevity. His imagery was graphic. At both ends of any lace shoe are two protective plastic caps for some form  of protection of the lace. The chromosomes from our DNA genetic code are like that, he says. The chromosome cap is the telomere. The longer it is, the younger or youthful we are. As we age, the telomere reduces in length and we become slower in responses to stimuli. Different authorities suggest different ways of prolonging telomere health, efficiency and longevity. For Double Plus, the way out is the QUANTUM ENERGY TELOMERE ACTIVATION LIGHTS system. It can be used in any part of the body. Simultaneously, about two of the seven lights can be switched on. The colours  are: calcium supplement light, red, green, blue, purple, yellow and orange. Each activates specific telomere in particular parts of the body. There is no space today to discuss how they work or to discuss other products such as energy menstrual pads, panty liner, scarf, knee pad, finger ring etc.

    CONCLUSION

Chymall was an investment-cum multi-level marketing network company with multi-dimensional earning profiles rare in  Nigerian market. Double Plus is only a network marketing business. I am dimunitive before the respected Chief F. R.A Williams (SAN) who can walk on both sides of a road at the same time, and from opposite directions. I can try however by saying Double Plus is not the re-incarnation of Chymall but has reincarnated the spirit of Chymall by reviving Nigerian interest in quantum energy health business and upscaling it. Definitely, I am like about three million other Nigerians, nostalgic about Chymall…and dreamy about DOUBLE PLUS.

  • Pharmacy, herb prices hit roof…Iku ti de

Pharmacy, herb prices hit roof…Iku ti de

Thanks goodness, the NAIRA is silencing and shaming all its “rude” “insultive” assailants. They believe it is no better than a shit-hole currency. One of them is my favorite newpaper headlines Yoruba reviewer, DAYO AMUSAN, Hilarious man with or without Omolabake, Olojede of FAAJI SMA FM radio station in Lagos. I feel insulted whenever DAYO AMUSAN (a.k.a dpa) paints nauseating images of the Naira ”prostrating” or stoopping” or cringing” before the American Dollar, as a ”shoe carrier” for its mate. That was when the Naira was exchanging at one Dollar for about N1700 with prospect of dollar hitting N2,000 or more in a few weeks. Dayo Amusan and other possible friends or hailers of the Dollar appear to be breathless now, as the Naira has rocketed powerfully from about N1700 to the dollar to about N1000 or N900 just a few days with prospect of heading to N500 naira this month. This hope is predicated on two of Nigeria’s petroleum refineries playing favourable ball from this month, crude oil thieves smoked out of the rigs and crude production for the world market growing steadily.

It is not yet uhuru in the economy, however. Prices are still astronomical. The excuse everywhere is that old stocks are still fooling around. The impact of these jumbo prices are probably most felt in the HEALTH SECTOR. When a matter appears to be beyond them, the Yoruba describe it as ORO BURUKU PELU ERIN (a terrible experience which gives way to laughter). That was how I felt when, on radio, I heard someone say IKU TI DE of persons who could no longer afford medications for ailments such as hypertension and diabetes. IKU TI DE means DEATH HAS COME. I laughed because, also, that is the opposite of my name, IKURIMISA (death saw me and fled) which British colonialists could not pronounce and shortened, first, to IKUSA and, later, to KUSA.

On a must serious not, the prices of health and sick care medicines are in real rough weather. To be sure I was not day-dreaming, one day, last month, I brushed my face several times with bare palms. My doctor acquaintance for more than 25 years had just told me neprinol was now selling for N200,000 per bottle. It is a proprietary blend of enzymes for aiding digestion and, when taken on empty stomach, for dissolving simple growths and some tumours. Not long after, an octogenarian reader of this column whose son I always pray for because he takes care of his father, telephoned me to announce he was convalescing well from stroke. One of the prescriptions he was on was a brand of Magnesium which costs him N103,000 for 90 capsules or gels. I shivered because about six months ago, even the best of Magnesium, a sublingual which went directly into the bloodstream from under the tongue, did not cost more than N45,000 for one moonth’s supply. It was a good buy at that price as almost nothing of it was lost in the digestion and absorption process. What made it a first Magnesium choice was this question: If the absorbent layer of the intestine had been coated for months or years by fecal matters or other barricading material, how will the blood stream upload many nutrient for the cells, tissues and organs?

These were the matters on my mind when I received a telephone call from another reader of this column in Owerri. He has been following this column for decades. He had been unable to easily find Ubiquinol in the Nigerian market when I told him months earlier it could help his heart. So, he asked his children to get him some. He received such an avalanche he did not know what to do with it. Then, he thought of selling to his friends. He offered N90 capsules for about N100,000! I thanked him, but could not fellow up with payment. Encouraged by the positive responses of his other friends, he has brought in Ubiquinol again, this time, no longer 90 softgels but 180 soft gels. This number is for a product designed in the American market to make you consume more for less money. However, Nigeria is a unique country and, so, the price will go for more than N200,000 per bottle.

In Europe, Dr. KARL FOLKERS has been showing that disease occurs when the cells do not have enough energy to rid themselves of it. Energy is more crucial in the heart which rest not from work day or night, and for fighting cancer in any cell. It is now established that the largest concentration of Ubiquinol in any part of the body is in the heart and that heart diseases often begin with short falls of Ubiquinol in this vital organ. As Dr. FOLKERS and his medical team were able to reverse more than 30 terminal breast cancers using Ubiquinol and the game changer in experimental nutritional therapy, Ubiquinol has been found indispensable in the food and medicine suppliments of challenged person who can afford it. For the bread-line heart or cancer challenged person who cannot afford Ubiquinol at this price, is the fear of IKU TI DE not real fear? Was this not a plant medicine which sold for about N30,000 a few months ago before we all found out that we were already standing on the edge of a cliff, almost set for a head long plunge into the abyss?

The forgoing is a mild description of an industry, not government, inflicted price riot which I believe will soon implode on the price and currency speculators and entomb them. It happened in Ghana. The economy stood still. Price and currency speculators were entombed by and in their handiworks. Ghana arose from the economy ruins of those days. So will Nigeria. This depends, however, on the government being able to summon the political will for a serious battle with evil. At the inauguration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu Administration, this column predicted six “MAFIA WARS”would confront it. These would include conspirators in the petroleum industry, solid minerals, produce market whenever the promised marketing boards come on board, and the black market currency dealers. To crack the Dollar mechants, this column suggested a daily, months-long, zero hour crack-down nation-wide on all vending locations, arrest of street dealers, confiscation of currencies in their possession, prosecution within 48 hours, naming and arrest of financiers of the black market who include bank managers, bank directors, generals, traditional rulers and even police chiefs, senators, representatives, big wig politicians in government and in opposition, even religious leaders. The earth will literally quake, but it will settle well afterward.

I remembered these scenarios amid public complaints that many persons can no longer afford common pharmaceutical medicines such as Panadol, eye drops for controlling intra-ocular pressure in glaucoma, a possible cause of blindness, anti-hypertensive drugs, asthma drugs, prostate gland medications, anti-inflamatories for arthritis and other diseases, insomnia, ulcer and, worse still, cancer.

    KING CHARLES III

Therefore going was the Nigerian health atmosphere impacted last month by news that King Charles III had rejected chemotherapy for his prostate cancer and the response of oncologists (cancer doctors) that he was toying with his life. Nigerian media took up the debate. How effective and safe are pharmaceutical drugs? How effective and safe are herbs? With pharmaceutical drugs beyond reach, is it not justifiable for citizens to turn to herbs? How verified are herbs? One of the interviews which caught my attention was the interview Maryann of NIGERIA INFO had with a pharmacist whose name I could not catch. The programme was a repeat at between 4a.m and 5a.m. The pharmacist was very uncharitable towards herbal and Traditional Medicine (TM), saying health seekers were risking damage to their vital organs and even death by going for herbs which, he said, were unverified for purity, dosages, toxicity, among other problems. Even when a fellow pharmacist, a female, tried to flag him down, this gentleman remained pedantic.

    THE GUARDIAN

My conclusion of my reading of him was that he was a BABY PHARMACIST. I thought that Maryann, too, was not conversant with the subject, otherwise, she ought to have been able to rein him in whenever he mistepped. May be she didn’t have enough time for that segment of her programme. I say so because I am priviledged to know THE GUARDIAN newspaper from 1988 when I edited it, to disabused the mind of the public, including doctors and pharmacists, of the old notions about Traditional Medicine (TM) and herbs. That old notion was the imagery of herb sellers in open, dusty and unhygienic market environment where cats pursued rats and chickens chased cockroaches over leaves and barks of trees.

As Editor of THE GUARDIAN in 1988, I threw four prime pages open every Thursday for natural medicine reporting. It was the first time a newspaper would do so in Nigerian newspapering history. It was done to support the efforts of the United Nations (UN) and the African Union (AU) to make their member states upgrade the status of Traditional Medicine to the level of Allopathic Medicine in terms of products development and quality, training, certification and registration of practitioners, among other modernist efforts. Nigeria signed the UN and AU treaties and the then University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) was among universities selected globally to help these organisations achieve their goals. The goals were premised on the fact that about 80 percent of humanity sustained its health on TM and herbs. To even disabuse the minds of Doubting Thomases of prejudices against TM, the UN came up with the definition of TM as THE HEALING ART OF A PEOPLE, EXPLICABLE OR NOT EX PLICABLE.

So, what is the problem of this gentleman? Did he not study Pharmacy in the university? Was he not taught these things? Was he not aware of these historical facts? Is he, really, a baby pharmacist? By that, I mean is he above 40 or 45 years?

I ask this question because about 1990, that is about 11 years after THE GUARDIAN began to report natural medicines every Thursday, I presented a paper at the yearly conference of THE PHARMACEUTICAL SOCIETY OF NIGERIA (PSN) held at the Airport Hotel in Lagos. That was about 25 years ago. Thus, baby pharmacists of today may be unaware of it. The paper was published in FOR THE RECORDS section of THE GUARDIAN newspaper. The goal was to inform Nigerian pharmacists that the climate of medicines was changing globally, that Europe and America were turning more to herbal medicines, that Asians did not abandon their TM during colonialism, that we abandoned ours, that Asia, Europe and America will make mince meat of our health with their TM nutritional and herbal products unless they, our pharmacists, began to show interest in our TM, studying their healing values and package them in modern forms. To that conference, I went with some packaged herbs from Europe and America which could fire their imagination.

I also challenged the imagination of the conference with result of the kitchen experiments I carried out with a herb on the platform of The Guardian newspaper. Europe had just produced VIAGRA for male erection. I knew our fore fathers hardly had this problem. So, I got DECLAN OKPALAEKE, a Microbiology graduate of Lagos State University on our Editorial staff to organise about 20 adult men with or without erectle dysfunction and sperm count challenges. We gave them a parasitic root call Ogbolo (Cissus Populnea) for about one month. They drank the water or alcohol extracts. At the end of one month, they checked themselves out at two laboratories, one private one public. The result were astonishing. Their sperm count improved tremendously. It was only in two cases that progress was not made. Their semen specimen were found to be infected. We picked our subjects from among persons who had been trying in vain for years to make their wives pregnant. In about four months on Ogbolo, many of them were looking forward to becoming fathers. When i announced that the result of our kitchen experiments would be published, the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) in Lagos State threatened to sue us for quakery. Declan did a thorough job with data reporting. The NMA fell silent. I encouraged Declan to present the work for the CNN AFRICAN JOURNALIST-OF-THE-YEAR AWARD for that year. It won the first price with a purse of 1.5 million Pounds Sterling. I know joy today because that kitchen experiment popularised Ogbolo among middle aged and young persons throughout Nigeria. The pharmaceutical industry in Nigeria ought to have taken Ogbolo up from there. It is not for erection and semen alone. It is for regenerating cells and making them vibrant throughout the body. It has lots of mocopolysachrides for immunity, energy, youthfulness and other beneficial purposes, including easy delivery by pregnant women.

Tutu Folashade-Koyi (now Editor of THE SUN newspaper for ABUJA and THE NORTH) was THE GUARDIAN’s natural medicine reporter of those days. The work load of the Editor’s office made it difficult for me to keep a regular column. I approached persons, but only Mrs. ELIZABETH KAFARU took up the challenges. I gave her some of my books. She was a tireless and girlish worker. Soon, she developed a huge following nation-wide, indicating that the UN and the AU were on the right path.

    MOMODICA CHARANTIA

In Chinese literature, I always encountered MOMODICA CHARANTIA, also called Balsom pear by the English, and KARElA by Indians. I paid no serious attention until I read of Chinese praises of Professor Dapo Fafowora of Ife for several studies of this plant for blood sugar content and ailments and that Yoruba call it EJINRIN. The Chinese packaged it in capsules and added other anti-diabetic factors to make the product more effective for diabetes. Today, diabetics do well on brimstone, pawpaw leaf, Chanka Piedra, alo yera, wheatgrass, tumeric, bitter leaf, utazi, cinnamon, fenugreek, Alpha Lipoic Acid, Jobelyn etc. The PubMed had many scientific reports on them and more. Where are our pharmacists? Thanks to Mrs. Comfort Obayuawana a.k.a Madam Flower who from the 1990s began to produce EJINRIN in powder form as KARELA.

    CHANKA PIEDRA

Europeans are trying to sell malaria vaccination to us. Who knows what else would be in those vaccines? Vaccinating two million persons in one year is a lot of money to be drained out of Nigeria. Where are our pharmacists? Chanka Piedra grows in every one’s flower garden and on the road-side. Botanists call it PHYLANTUS NURUNRI and the sub specie PHYLANTUS AMARUS. The Asians call it CHANKA PIEDRA which means STONE CRUSHER because it disolves kidney and gallbladder stones. Carrington Laboratories researched it. Yoruba call it EHINBISOWO or EHIN OLUBE! It is hypotensive (it lowers blood pressure), anti-diabetic, anodyne (pain reliefing) anti-microbial and iron loaded besides. An opthalmologist has developed it into an eye drop to dissolve the stone of cataract!

    BITTER KOLA

Professor Bukunola Adefule-Oshitelu, of EREKE EYE CLINIC at 10 Aina Street Ojota, Lagos, deserves our gratitude for developing Bitter kola into an eye drop which effectively lowers pressure inside the eye, a possible cause of blindness in glaucoma. Pharmaceutical eye drops almost killed me, always affecting my heart. About three times they made me to faint at home until I traced the causes to them, threw them away and resorted to Bitter Kola. When I wrote about Bitter Kola eye drops, the VoIce of America and the British Broadcasting CoRpOration (BBC) interviewed Prof Adefule-Oshitelu, who developed it when she was an eye surgeon at the Guinness Eye Center of the College of Medicine of University of Lagos. I said she deserves our gratitude because she was, and still is, a humble doctor. Had she not been, she would have discarded the information of one of her patients as arrant talk. He told her he was not using her eye drop prescriptions but using Bitter Kola water extracts and only coming to see her at the hospital to check his eyes. He did not wish that the knowledge be lost with his passing. Adefule-Oshitelu researched Bitter Kola for eye drops, confirmed the old man’s claims and gave humanity a safer, natural product.

    JOBELYN

The GUARDIAN discovered it as JUBI BLOOD FORMULA in 1993. Mr. Olajuwon Okubena was shot by robbers in his poultry farm in Ileze, near Ijebu-Ode. He convalescenced in a herbal home in Ibadan where the major medicine was JUBI. After he regained his life, Mr. Okubena began a life-long campaign to make the world know about JUBI which, meanwhile, he has re-christened JOBELYN for marketing and other purposes. Which pharmacists can downplay JOBELYN with an almost hundred studies at home and abroad which have culminated in its listing for cancer therapy in the DRUG DICTIONARY of the United State. My Facebook page ( JOHN OLUFEMI KUSA) you may please read about my 30 years journey with Mr. Okubena and JOBELYN under the title: SORGUM BICOLOR,2O24 TRILLION DOLLAR BEAUTIFUL BRIDE.

There are more useful herbs that are better than pharmaceutical drugs which I cannot mention here from limitation. of space. The economy will improve, prices will crash and we will stop crying IKU TI DE

Easter 2024: The Christian and the Antichrist

For Christians with oil in the lamps of their souls like the Biblical Five Wise Virgins, Easter season reminder stories are incomplete without  AntiCHRIST stories . “AntiCHRIST stories are not in eulogy of the  personal fighter against the Divine Mission of Christ to the Earth, but to help us all to be more precise about Who is so  defined, He Who, it is assumed, would …”Raise His Head Just Before The Judgement”. Superficial understanding of this AntiCHRIST personality in Biblical revelation has lured many Christians, the Churches and priestly dignitaries to spiritual slumber. Predicted that the AntiCHRIST “will raise his head just  before the judgement”, it is assumed that He would appear and be active, ruinously, among mankind just before, perhaps, the sounding of trumpets of the World Judgement.  It is hardly  realised that the AntiCHRIST could have been active among men already and would reach the zenith of his malevolence against Christ’s Mission just before the judgement. Christians view the “trumpets” not as allegorise of  escalations, rapidity and quantum catastrophic events: collapse of several economies, disastrous weather, famine in the midst of plenty, sexual depravity, belief in the power of money, crimes, insurgencies and violence globally, among other indicators of an approaching End-Time. As  for the AntiCHRIST Who “would raise His Head just before the Judgement” man’kind’s  gaze is still fixed on the Middle-East region , a rich resource of human civilisation caged  today  by  Western technology. Whether in the BIBLE CODE of Michael Alan Drosnin or in  predictions of  seer Nostradamus,a.k.a,” the man who saw tomorrow”,this  Islamic region is expected to spit fire storms on  the rest of the earth, destroy  Christian Western  civilisation and instal Islamic hegemony. Already, Algeria, a once wholly Christian nation in northern Africa, has become about 98 percent Islamic. I am passionate about Constatinople, the first Christian capital on earth, which has become Islamic. It was here, Stephen  Lampe reports in his  book, THE Christian  The  Re-Incarnation,that a great, Christian episcopal conference took place in AD 553.

Illiterate about  Christian history, many Christians are  easily spiritually imprisoned in  ordinances and dogmas behind which stand the AntiCHRIST of Whom they  know little. There were two  prime actors in the AD 553 Constantinople  conference of Bishops. These were  the Roman emperor Nero and the then  Pope, Justinian. Emperor Nero had personal ideas which he wanted Pope Justinian and the Bishops to erase from Christian thinking and Church teaching. One was abolition of  wide spread early Christian belief in re-incarnation. It was among several other anathemas he sought. Anathema means abolition. In seeking to abolish re-incarnation in the thinking of Christian and teaching of the Church, Emperor Nero, as the servant of the AntiCHRIST, set himself above Jesus Christ. About  533 years  before then, Christ had validated before His Disciples the reality of re-incarnation. Although He did not address the subject to a wider audience, it is inferred from the circumstance of His reference to His Disciples, that re-incarnation was a widely accepted conception among the populace. Had He lived for longer, Christ may have offered deeper and wider explanations about it.

The knowledge of re-incarnation was one of the keys available to mankind at that time to understand the purpose of  their  existence on earth. They were in the infancy of their spiritual maturity in the earthly school of life. Re-incarnation was widely acknowledge by society. Father Origen and other early Christian fathers taught and emphasised  it. How  would they not when The Light  of  God on earth, Jesus Christ, confirmed it to His Disciples. Let us recall the meeting with them when He threw up the question: Who Do People Say I am”?

Simon Peter gave him the correct answer: “The  Son of TheLiving  God”. Christ told them Peter was right.  But, they were to keep the knowledge to themselves for sometime.

The disciples were confused. They wondered why, against the prophesies, The Son of God would be on earth before the re-incarnation  of  Elijah.

The Lord replied them that Elijah had, indeed, returned, was not recognised by men and they  had done to him or with him what they wished. The Lord did not proceed beyond  this threshold of their understanding perhaps in recognition of their immaturity for higher revelations. That is why a careful reading of the reporting of this event in  the Bible will reveal an error, which is the fault in the interpretation of the reporting authority, Who says…

And it became clear unto them that He spake of John the  Baptist.

This verse is person opinion. Jesus did not say Elijah returned as John the Baptist. He did not tell the  disciples who re-incarnated as John the Baptist. Mathew reports  John emphatically told enquiring Pharisees he was neither Elijah nor the Messiah. Elijah and Moses appeared with the Messiah at His Transfiguration, after beheading of Jedohn.  In the expanded spiritual knowledge which the Lord promised humanity before the Judgement (…”And when He the Spirit of Truth is come…”), it is  now recognised that  the Primordial Human Spirit we know as John the Baptist was called Ismael when He helped to lead the first generation of human Spirit seed germs from their home  to the material world for their maturity. He is not one of us. His origin is far, far above our home in the Spiritual world, Paradise. We can not  exist in His own World because the energy and Pressure would dissolve us.  That was why Jesus  informed us that none of us was as great as  John  the  Baptist.  He returned to His Home after His beheading by King Herod Antipas at  the instigation of Salome.  And when He was well past our paradise, to which many of us may not be re-admitted, He caused The Bible’s Book of Revelations to be sent to us  on earth through one of us named John who was spiritually  mature to receive and to transmit it.

Elijah re-incarnated but not as John The Baptist. This error placed my spirit at the alert whenever I comb the Bible or any other scriptural  book from other religions for spiritual knowledge.  Elijah and Moses were with the Lord Jesus at His Transfiguration.  Meanwhile, as humanity  is permitted again to now know, John The Baptist soon embarked  on another Mission to prepare all the Seven Universes for the  Judgement. Remember His message in The Book of Revelations to“The Seven Churches of Asia“ ”. Spiritually, “ the seven Churches” are the seven universes and “Asia” is the spiritual name of The World. Our Universe is called Ephesus.

Everywhere in “Asia”, the work of salvation and redemption is going on before the Judgement and annihilation of recalcitrant human spirits. Should we not  now wonder why Emperor Nero fought the knowledge of  Re-incarnation if he was not a servant of the AntiCHRIST, the fighter against Christ?

    Revelation:12

I wish to hurry to Lucifer. He was a stately, powerful Archangel. He led the mission to bring  human spirit seed germs from their spiritual home  to lower realms, there to plant them in material soil for their sprouting, germination, flowering and fruiting. On  maturing, they may become some day privileged to be permitted to become helpers in the up-building work always going on in creation.  Events in this chapter of the book of Revelations were revealed to John  from realms  higher than His. The woman with a child pursued by the dragon  does not refer to Mary the mother of Jesus and to Jesus. The opening sentence refers to “ Him Who  Was,Who  Is and  Who  is To Come”, that is one personality, and progresses to “And Peace also from Jesus Christ, The Faithful Witness”, A Second Personality.

Humanity was spiritually dead when Christ incarnation among them, the  first one from the God head came. Jesus promised another would come(“ Which  is to   Come….”) Who would “reprove the world of sin and proclaim the Judgement”. This woman and the child  pursued by the Dragon could not be Mary, earthly mother of Jesus, and Jesus. She is the Queen of Heaven, and “That Which is to come” is shown  to us as a child because He was  in the infancy of preparations for His mission “Which is to come ” and which The Lord Jesus foretold.

Having failed in His Mission to support the spiritual maturation of human spirit seed germs by abandoning The Will of God and substituting  His own  Will and recognising the coming of a Mission to wrest from Him the symbol of authority and power and cast Him in  bounds for the  Millennium, Lucifer sought to destroy this mission.

This should light up  our spirits well enough to recognise that  He could not have left the mission of the son of God Jesus in peace  as well. With this knowledge, we should recognise in their true colours the various encounters  with the Jesus  Mission about which not  much illumination is made .

    The Four Wse Men

The encounter  of Emperor Nero  and Pope Justinian is not the first. I will quickly address it, because of the importance of re-incarnation.Bishops from the East and the West assembled in Constantinople at Nero’s request. Eastern Bishops rejected the anathemas and boycotted the conference. Nero brought a communique which supported his ideas for Pope  Justinian to sign. The Pope refused. Nero placed him under house arrest for two weeks and threatened to depose him. Pope Justinian caved in, the man who was supposed to be a representative of Simon Peter whose faith that the son of God was on earth led Christ to validate the fact of re-incarnation. Thanks to Stephen Lampe who, in The Christian And Recarnation, leads us through the Christian scriptures to show that Nero did not succeed in obliterating all the evidence.

Where I am headed are the Four Wise Men. They were appointed , trained and anointed in higher spheres, one representing each of  the four pillars of Creation. Only three of them  made the trip to Baby Jesus in the manger. Earthly considerations placed on  his path by Lucifer made the fourth to arrive after the Baby had been taken  to hiding in Egypt by His parents. The three Wise men need not have informed Herod of his Birth. Unguarded, they endangered His life and caused the  unnecessary murder of newborn males in the fury of Lucifer to abort the Christ Mission.

Like Nero’s story, those of The Four Wise Men is not well  told in the Easter story line to advise  us of their serious lessons. Did we hear of the three Wise men again?Yet they were to protect the adult Jesus with their  wealth, influence and knowledge, all given to them largely for this purpose! Lucifer, the fighter against Christ as the AntiCHRIST,  was behind it all!

    Virgin Birth

This question, like that of immaculate conception, was spurn to make  Christ’s personality controversial. We cannot extricate it from Lucifer’s intrigues.  Jesus left us in no doubt that  He had come to “fulfil” and not “to oppose” the Laws of His Father. These Laws govern every happening, including the coming into being on earth and the separation from  the earth. Were it otherwise, could Jesus not have simply appeared in the sky  or even come down from the cross or continued to manifest in a non-physical body such as the  one Apostle Paul said he saw? To the Jews of those days, virgin birth was the first birth from any womb.  Spiritually, immaculate conception may be termed “pure” pregnancy. In fact, every earth woman is supposed to be capable of immaculate conception. Being unable to do so has now led to more than half of the earth  population coming from  nether  or darker regions around the  planet where  immature  souls are confined. For the immaculate conception of Jesus, a capable woman in the person of Mary was  identified. She was well connected with all the circumstances required for  pure conception. The Angel made the Annunciation to prepare her mind. The Love of  God comes to us  through  the Ray of  Divine Purity. That is why we cannot abound  in impurity and expect Grace to abound. A female Being from primordial Spiritual realms, where  the Spirits did not  have to come to the  earth for self development, connected with many  and the  Divine One in her womb.Jesus did not directly connect with Mary. Among earth pregnant women, how often do “conception” accidents not occur because  all their being is not well directly  focused on what is going  on within and around  them? Do  doctors nowdays not encourage them to involve in sexual frivolities during pregnancy? Which types of  souls may then approach them either to displace a more honourable soul or to cause other disturbances? In the  case of Jesus, High spiritual Beings surrounded His conception and stood by till 40 days after His birth. Kudos to those Nigerian  cultures that  do not  permit that a newborn be taken outside the house for  40 days! Till this day, the questions  of immaculate conception and virgin birth  needlessly strive to raise many  unnecessary questions about the  personality of Jesus. He came to teach us about  The Will of God which Mother  Nature His servant , teaches us in the language it speaks to us in  The Laws of Creation.  Who could be more natural than Jesus in His teaching, especially His Parables?Only the AntiCHRIST could be  behind controversies of His birth to challenge  His Authority and His Message.

    Judas and Pilate

Judas was a disciple, Pontius Pilate, the Roman Governor of Judea. Both were in Christ’s Mission. In a Mission, anointed ones are strategically placed to protect the mission. But often they fail, caught in the webs of material existence.  Peter, James and  John  belonged to the inner disciple  caucus. Judas through inordinate ambition nourished by the AntiCHRIST encouraged himself to create his own niche. That was earthly power.  He aligned with Jewish military rebels to over throw Roman rule during the Passover Feast and arranged a tumultuous reception for Jesus in Jerusalem for Him to be crowned King of  The Jews and ignite a revolution. In the temple, Jesus explained that My Kingdom is not of This World and preached, instead, The Brotherhood of all Men.  Had Judas succeeded, could he not have become a Minister in the new government? Jesus saw through his ambition. The rest  is history! Had Pontius Pilate  not feared for his high office of Governor of Judea and listened to the  entreaties of his wife to let Jesus go and the Crucification did not take place, could the  story of Christianity not be a  different one today? Do we  ever pause to find out  who those persons  were who were  guiding Pilate’s wife in her dreams to work on her husband to free Jesus? Although he symbolically washed the blood of Jesus off  his hands with soap and water, did he not fail at  his duty post  in the Chris Mission?

    The  Multitude

They shouted “ Hossanah” today and screamed “Crucify Him” the next,  puppets of AntiCHRIST. Some of them are back on earth as the Stigmatists who bear the wound marks of Jesus on the Cross during the Easter season. Unfortunately, many Christians and the Church do not recognise them for who they are, former revilers and  murderers of the  Son of God, and worship and say prayers through them as blessed ones.

    The  Priest

Encouraged by the AntiCHRIST, the Priestly dignitaries organised the murder of Christ as a blasphemer of the God Who sent Him to us and Whose Will they claim to obey and to serve. In reality, though, they carried out the murder to protect their earthly influence and power over the people which they believed  Jesus was eroding. They were all minions of the AntiCHRIST, Lucifer. Even when the curtains of the Holy of Holies were torn into shreds by Luminous Beings Who were protesting the murder, even when the earth quaked, in protest,  and the sun darkened, turning day into night, and the winds rushed, even when some among the gullible  multitude faintly recognised that  Jesus was truly the Son of God, and could have risen against the priestly order for misleading them into committing heinous murder, did the AntiCHRIST not provide the priest with an explanation many Christians even today still swallow line, hook and sinker…that Jesus came to die for their  Sins?  Does one of the 10 Commandments not say Thou  Shall Not Kill? Did Christ come to fulfil the Will of  God or to Oppose It? Christians should have been asking themselves:

Does God change His Commandments? Do we not say of Him: “The same yesterday, today and forever?”Did Jesus not warn Judas to back out of it? Did Judas not commit suicide on recognising his  misdeed? Why has no Christian sect cannonised Judas if he helped Jesus to fulfil God’s Will that He die for men’s sins? Why does no Christian father or mother name his or her son Judas? The human spirit senses the Truth, but is too suffocated by the AntiCHRIST to free himself or herself from the darkness and escape from the coming annihilation.

This subject is too vast to be exhausted in one article. The discussion will continue some other day.

  • State police: borrowing a leaf from the human body

State police: borrowing a leaf from the human body

Many people are falling ill nowadays, and doctors cannot tell them why. Such  conditions are psychosomatic or psychological. Psychosomatic illnesses present symptoms in different  parts of the body without medical explanation. Such symptoms may include headache and migraines, fatigue, hypertension, indigestion, shortness of breath, impotence, insomnia etc. Doctors describe the cause(s) of such condition(s) as idiopathic…of no known cause!

This season is a season of troubling, high impact and  fast moving events which are heavily impacting on  our minds and causing brutal psychic  injuries. Three-year-old babies are raped. Fathers are  forcing their under age daughters. One mother of six went to cut plantain planted by another woman. When the  owner complained, the thief cut her to pieces. A woman boarded her two school-age children in a tricycle taxi for a school run, bade them bye but never saw them again. A man went to the home of his elder brother when he was out, and invited his nephew and niece to accompany him somewhere. The children never returned home,  as they becamevictims of ritual killings. Nine policemen were killed in a forest better known  inside out by kidnappers they went to arrest.  In the Niger Delta,  two Army Majors, a Commanding Officer and 13 other soldiers have just been killed by armed young men in a village traumatised  by communal violence  and murders. Several residents have fled into the unknown for fear of military reprisals.

They are too many of such strange events I cannot mention here. However, the following two are worth mentioning because they have not stopped to cause me sleepless night.

In the first  events, a woman took her three children to the Central Police Station in Enugu, came outside the gate, stripped herself and forcefully ran straight into an oncoming vehicle. She died immediately. The oldest of the three children was about six. I have not stopped to wonder how I would be feeling even today if my mother did that to me about 74 years ago. Even today,do I not remember that she bled to death  65 years ago at 31 from retained placenta while having her fifth baby?  Do I still not wish she was   medically helped? Did her experience not make me always insist on being in the labour room with my wife? Every time I remember these orphaned children, I grieve, wondering how mentally stable they will be,growing up and recalling their mother last moment.

Almost  every night nowadays,  I tend to spend sleep hours imagining the fate of 287 school boys and girls kidnapped at school and taken into the wild. I do not forget to think also and to pray for women who were taken away in similar circumstances from refugee camps and nearby village after their homes were burned.

My nightmares began with the kidnap on April 14-15, 2014  of 276 mainly Christian School girls aged between 16 and The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) under President Olusegun Obasanjo opposed and killed all efforts for alternative police forces. The PDP administration of President Ebele Goodluck Jonathan acted likewise, growing insecurity tension. Although the opposition since the days of Obasanjo Presidency had been calling for state government police forces,  the All Progressives  Congress (APC) government of Muhammadu  Buhari failed in eight years to actualise this dream despite a worsening of the security platforms under him 18 in Chibok, Borno State  10 years ago. These were girls  who may have become medical doctors or engineers. Men who as boys dropped out  of school or never went to school dared  to lay hands on them and even sexually defiled them to drive home to us their philosophy of Boko Haram…education is scam.   I said then we would soon forget about those girls, and I have been proven right. The story of the boy who escaped from the kidnappers is an assault on  our personal and national psychic. Imagine you being at school or in a  refugee camp that  is suddenly surrounded by about 100 men who are shooting anyhow and asking all of you to fellow them into a forest. The kidnappers marched them on foot through forest pathways for some days. Whenever the girls were tired, they were placed on motor-cycles. There was no food to eat and no water to drink. For their survival, the kidnappers picked and chewed certain leaves. This is of interest to me, as a naturalist and herbal medicine advocate. These thoughts soon erase themselves from my  mind, however, when I remember another tale from the escapee. Whenever an airplane, or maybe a drone, flew by, the captives were commanded to pull their dresses, and lie on them.  This ensured a perfect blending of human complexion with the forest soil, and deceive the airmen. Luckily for our story teller, they all arrived at a swamp, the colour of which blended with his clothes. So, he decided  to take a risk and hide in the environment. I guess only persons who have implantations of manly courage and heroism can do this. He waited for the captives and captors to be gone for some hours before he came out of hiding and into freedom by returning home in the direction opposite to that they came from. I guess many , if not all,of those girls and women in captivity would have been severally defiled by now, made to believe they have no country, despair of themselves and probably wonder if goodness triumphs over evil.  This is a subject for another day.

    Insecurity

The subject of today is the collapse of security for life and property in Nigeria. The collapse was possible  because the security architecture is not founded on the Laws of Nature. Anything done outside these laws in unnatural, and anything unnatural is false, unknown to nature and will inevitably collapse, be it friendship, the economy or marriage.  About 30 years ago, I gave a public lecture to young men and women who were interested in becoming students of mother nature. It was titled  “Go to the ants, o man, and be wise”. It was about how Nigeria may  be structured and governed using principles of the laws of nature.  These laws sorted mankind into tribes as its also sorted  the human body into “tribes” of tissues, organs and systems. Man cannot be superior to the Creator of a universe in which he is only a creature and guest. In the design of the human body, Mother Nature give us ideas of how to design security of life and property in human society.

I strive to be natural in all things. Being natural  does not means surrendering to the unnatural principle of “letting yourself go” which many people assume to be naturalness. Being natural means doing things the way nature does them and would like us to, also, do them. This is why, in a Federal and plural society such as Nigeria, I support Federal Government and State Government policing. When a floating, peppering substance in the air enters the eye, or a mosquito flies into a nostril, the eye and the nostril immediately flights back before the central immune system comes to their rescue.

Policing is a natural phenomenum in the human body which mankind copy for the well-being of their societies. Therefore, the more  of a successful copy cat we can be, the safer our societies will be.

Where in the animal kingdom do we not encounter policing against misdemeanour within the species and defence against predators? The honey bees coat the inside of their colonies with a high grade, broad spectrum anti-microbials substance called BEE PROPOLIS to prevent infections. I guess the soldiers bees are giving bee pollen, and energizing products of the worker bees.  The human body is a classical example of policing. In adult body, there are about 100 trillion cells, each of which has its own defence system, irrespective of a central defence mechanism. Even within the individual cell, small semi-independent sections such as the mitochrondrium, where energy is produced, start to defend itself against any problem before its seeks external aid should that be necessary. The individual cell  belongs to a group of specialised cells called the  tissue which, again, has a sectional defence protocol. This principle is not abandoned when tissues join hands to form organs and organs team up to form a system. In high school biology, we learned of several of them..nervous system, visual system, auditory system, digestive system, excretory system, Urogenital system, immune system, reproductive system, skeletal system and, a few years ago, the endocannabidiol system was added to the list. This is reputed to be the master system which not only ensures that no system is  under working or over performing but, also, supports their immunity and defence mechanism and requirements.

I would like  to  say a word or two about  The Human  Immune System and of the lessons it may reach designers of Nigeria’s policing architecture.

The immune system is not only  about “soldier” in the body which moves about freely such as  Basophils,Messophils, monocytes, Neutrophils, lymphocytes(T cell, B cell, and natural killer (Nk)cells)and macrohages. For want of space, elaboration is not possible here. Suffix it to say, however, that basophils orginate  in the bone marrow and travel to damaged areas of the body for repair work, widening passages, preventing blood clotting and killing germs and parasites. Their  population is governed  largely by the spleen, liver and kidneys. Nk cells  act like the military police of the immune system.   Macrohages encircle and swallow foreign agents. Each cell type performs a different immune function. The mobile immune cell population numbers about 1.8 trillion cells in an average adult body cell population of about  100 trillion. This is a lesson for Ngeria’s policing architecture of 400,000  policemen to about 250 million citizens or one police man to about 625 Nigerians, whereas the immune system provides one “policeman” to defend about 50 cells and can rapidly produce more in  emergencies.

The immune system also comprises immobile cells  and organs such as adenoids, tonsils, glands such as the thymus, and  tissues which produce immune factors called  immunoglobuline. We probably have heard of immunoglobulin A ( IgA) produce in mucus membrane or hallow tubes throughout the body to protect them.  IgA, first line of immonulogbuline is present in the eye, respiratory track, breast milk,  saliva, and the digestive track etc.  Also crucial for immobile immune defence are the Lymph Nodes in various parts of the body such as the armpits, neck and the groin. The minutest part of the body, the Organelle has its own defences which are supported should there be need by larger forces from  other parts. Some forces ignite inflammation so that immune “soldiers” have bigger spaces to maneuver during a “battle”. Inflammation is shut down when the “battle” is over,  and repair proteins have done their healing jobs. In short, for the human society to experience peace and stability, it must borrow a leaf from the defence mechanisms mother Nature has given the human body as the most developed  anatomy and physiology in the animal kingdom. Law markers who are gearing arguments for and against state police may invite medical doctors to address them on the human body’s immune system to enrich their decision.

     February 16, 2024

This date should be seen as unique in Nigerian  security history. The 36  governors and the Federal Capital Territory Ministers  and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu agreed that Nigeria needed state  government Police forces.  Nigeria had local government police forces in the 1963 Constitution. The Aguiyi- Ironsi Federal Military Government of 1966 made Nigeria  in unitarised Federation and abolished the local government police to give  unitary federalists like himself the monopoly of policing power and military power. This contradicts the plan of nature which sorted human beings in this geographic entity into homogeneous tribes which were to grow and mature at confidence spaces, not at a uniform rate. Successive Nigerian Presidents have retained this profile, even when it was becoming increasingly clear that one Inspector-General of Polce could not effectively police a population which had grown from about 55 million in 1963 to about 250 million today.

I saw February 16, 2024 as a turning point because, on that day, there was no dissenting voice nation-wide, at least among the governors, and the turn-around  is taking place only within eight months of the Tinubu Administration.

    How  well, how soon?

How soon shall we have the constitution amended to give  us police forces in the states, and how well will the fears of  old about them  be addressed? It would appear that time is running out fast  if we do not act quickly. Our forests have been occupied by foreigners. We are also probably outnumbered in our cities and villages. What may worsen  these  scenarios is the combination, under military governments,of Mali, Burkina Fasso and Niger Republic to minimise French influence in their economies and invite Russia to militarily assist them.Refugees  from these countries may swell the population of unfriendly foreigners. So, how soon and how well will President Bola Ahmed Tinubu deliver brand new 37 police forces in the states  and enlarged present Federal policing to cover the forests and highways?

    Suggestions

    • The states may claim lack of money  for the project. Federal revenue should be enlarged through, for example, stoppage of crude oil thefts and the income spread across relevant overheads  including one standard Police Training College in every state. The Police College Ikeja, ( PCI) originally called Southern Polce College (SPC) should be their  role model. I lived there from 1958 to 1961 with my parents and again from 1968 to about 1971.  It was then on the outskirts of  Lagos. By 1968, the only public transportation from Mobile Petrol Station in Maryland to Ikeja Round-about(LASUTH under bridge)were two private cars which ran “Kabukabu” ( unofficial)service. The states should provide land in the outskirts.

    • By now, the Federal Attorney-General and Justice Minister should have received inputs from states attorney-generals and Justice commissioners, professional groups, concerned citizens etc and reconciled them for a Bill from the Office of The President. The Bill should be discretely circulated to the various interest groups such as the Governors, State Houses of Assembly, the Senate and the House of Representatives, Inspector-General of Police, Police Service Commision and the  Police colleges.

    • Upon further inputs, corrections, additions and deletions, the Bill should proceed to the National Assembly and be rewarded with speedy hearings given the wide-range consultations. From here, it should go to the state Houses of Assembly and the FCT where, hopefully, there should be no  obstruction.

    • The time frame should not be over three months to prevent a coup or unnecessary regional  horse trading against the plan.

    • The constitution should not create police forces for the states. It Should acknowledge their rights to set up their police forces. Doing otherwise is saying the states own their existence to the Federal Government or to Nigeria, whereas it is the Federal Government and Nigeria which own their existence to the states, according to Ngeria’s history and logic of nature. Similarly, Nigeria should not create local government for the states. The federating units are the states.

    • There is no money too big to spend on national security. So, the Federal Government will have to support the states at the infancy of this project.Lagos State population must be about nine times that of Israel. Can Lagos not fund its own police force? Ditto  Akwa Ibom, Kano, Kaduna and Oyo, among others. The Federal Government may pay the salaries of 1,000 Policemen in every state for the first year while the states each match this with another 1,000 men  to  give us 2,000 Policemen per state. If each of about 10 million persons in Lagos State pays N200 security levy every months for the take-off of this project, the state government should realise N24,000,000,000 if public and private institutions support the project, the Fund should be alot bigger.

One of the private sector organisations is  the Lagos Abbatior.

About 100,000 cows are said to be  slaughtered in Lagos every day. A N200 security levy per cow should provide N20 million every day or N600 million every month or N72,000,000,000 in one year. What will the Churches, Mosques and markets  bring to the table for Lagos State Police(LASPOL)?

In my days in secondary school, did we children from our meagre pocket-money not support the victims of apartheid in South Africa? Any effort to support elimination of blood shedding in our country should be supported by us all. The churches and the Mosques should make generous donations. Christians should remember Revelation Chapter 12 which reports casting of the dragon out of heaven. We should  not forget how the immune system of the human body protects it from danger.. God speaks to us through Nature. We can hear Him Speak to us always in the ways our body works because every activity of our bodies bears  testimony of His WILL.

In respect of Insecurity in Nigeria, we all pulled the President by the shirt collar or literally threw sachet water or eggs at him. He has responded to our  calls. We should give him all the backing he requires. I am happy that states which strenuously opposed state government police under Obasanjo, Jonathan and Buhari have seen the need for it, being among the most insecure state  today. In this rare national harmony, we should quickly do the needful lest Lucifer break our ranks  again. The President should woo the states with money. It is recoverable. Security will improve agriculture, there will be more food on the table, we would not need  to open the border for foreign foods which  will further weaken the Naira. There will be more gains.

I am looking at a population of 230 million Nigerians, 200 million of them eating one egg or 6.6 million crates daily. At an all-time low price of N2,000 a crate, the association should earn N6,600,000,000 x N2,000 or N13,200,000,000,000. Please, forgive me. I am not a money man and I have no head for figures. Nevertheless, I reckon that every day, poultry farmers can earn N13.2 billion from egg alone through better farm management,  halving  current price of N4,000 per crate and  improving marketing. Unfortunately, half of the members of the Nigerian Poultry Association (NPA) have closed shop because of ineptitude! Food is the fastest moving commodity toady. With beef and fish out of reach, and about 200 million Nigerians wishing to eat at least one egg every day to beef up their recommended daily allowance (RDA) of protein, egg price should fall by half to under N100 if poultry farmers were dynamic.

However, the average poultry farmer is uninventive, mentally lazy and still mentally colonised by Europeans and Americans. The colonial master is wise. He takes away your taste and lifestyle and implants his own in your brain. You no longer can be yourself. You  think and  act like him and become dependent upon him until your spirit wakes up and can engage in a bitter struggle to tear yourself away from his stranglehold. Nigerian poultry farmers, caught in this colonial mentality web, have been uninventive since the prices of poultry inputs started rising. They slam the back of their palm on their lap, telling us they cannot find American Dollar to import soya beans and fish meal for the protein input of poultry feed. They repetitiously  keep  lamenting. How sad! Whoever tells them that only fish meal and soy beans wired into their brains by Euro-Americans are the only protein sources for animal feed?

I know they are not, from my experience as a lay farmer in the 1990s when I reared about 30 local and poultry chickens along with some rabbits in the backyard of my residence. None of these animals died. I neither fed them poultry feed nor gave them pharmaceutical drugs. Simultaneously, I raised about 300 pigs and piglets in one year from three sows (female pigs) and one boar (male). At today’s average price of N100,000 per table size pig, that  could be N30 million. Were age and I on the same page, and I could push out that  number every month, would  I today not  live in my dream house where I designed a fish pond in the  backyard to run from one end of a perimeter fence to another? Young people should not throw away their country with all its wonderful opportunities, and should learn to make ways out of cul de sacs. I strayed into the poultry pen and into the pig farm in the late 1990s when Nigeria’s military strong man, Gen. Abacha, shut some newspapers, including The Guardian, in which I worked. For one year, my salary was gone! So was my wife’s. She was a Political  Science lecturer at Lagos State University ( LASU). The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), the lecturers’ trade union, was on a nation-wide strike and Gen. Abacha  suspended salaries. In this circumstance, one of our children scored over 90 per cent in Lagos State Common Entrance Examination to Secondary School and was offered admission to the prestigious MODEL COLLEGE, KANKON near  Badagry, at that time and for several years running, the  best Secondary School in Lagos State. We were to secure the admission with N5,000, which we did not have!. Luckily, a family friend, Mr. Akin Soname, visited us. Two of his daughters were in the school. He knew we had no money and that I do not beg for money. He returned the following day with cash gift of N5,000 for our son. Next day, we were in Kankon to pay the acceptance fee. Before the start of school, I found myself in the first poultry ever. I had tried to sell vegetable  before then, but market  women doscouraged me with under pricing. Mrs.Beatrice Oloyede gave me the first 20 crates of egg, deeply moved that I had so easily dropped down the social ladder. I would later also receive egg for sale from Mrs. Ihegboro of Ajuwon, another border area, and from  Mrs. Mudashiru, wife of former Lagos State Governor, Air Commodore Gbolahan Mudashiru, at their farm depot at GRA, Ikeja, Lagos. I earned much more money every week than I earned at work every month! Within months, I was selling about 300 crates a week.

A crates cost N200 then and we added N50 profit. Soon, I added ice block in paint-buckets, chewing stick, palm oil (thanks to Prof. Rafiu Akindele, formerly at University of Ife and later at the NIIA in Lagos, who had connections with Apoje Oil Palm Factory). I sold egg to  market women, mallams, food vendors, mai-tea and even helped to establish unemployed mallams in mai-tea business. I gave them egg in the morning and collected the proceeds in the evening. What did I not sell? I sold Ijebu chewing stick, coconut, ice block, herbs, rice etc. Mrs. Oloyede and her friend Mrs. Monisola Aiyesimoju exposed me to pig farming at Oke-Aro, a border area of Ogun State with Lagos State.  I returned home from school ran to sell ice blocks and, then, egg, followed by raw rice or any other business. After a bath and breakfast, I headed to the Lagos State Secretariat, Alausa, Ikeja, to sell herbs, starting with the Ministry of Education where my high school classmate, Mr. Adekunle Onifade, was Assistant Director. In the evening, I collected proceeds of sales I made in the morning.  I immediately separated capital from profit and shared profit into various envelopes such as school fees, housekeeping, electricity, water, petrol and car servicing, building materials etc. This was a new life of a newspaper Editor-in-Chief who did not subscribe to the culture of Ebi n pa  mi or Ebi n pa wa.  I knew that man is meant to create and rule his environment. And guess what? I began to build a house during the adversity.

Where I am heading is the experiments I carried out with chickens and pigs that may help today’s lamenting poultry farmers. This could reduce egg price, promote volume sales, bring more profit and provide more protein on the dining table.

    CHICKENS

I hardly realised I was practising organic poultry farming which is a money spinner globally, today. Rather than give those birds pharmaceutical antibiotics, I ground to paste a basketful of garlic bulbs which I mixed with their drinking water.  Sometimes, I interchanged with lime or lemon and their ground peels.  Lime and lemon were inexpensive in those days because their nutritional and health value were not well exposed to the human health market. Another great one was CHRISTMAS CANTALOUPE or CHRISTMAS MELON which Yoruba call TAGIRI. This may be ground to paste and fermented in livestock drinking water. It has been shown to prevent and cure New Castle  and Gomboro diseases which sometimes devastated livestock population. For human and livestock, Christmas melon provides vitamins, minerals, anti-oxidants, anti-inflammatory, immune boosters and probably anti-cancer agent. None of my chickens died. I used their fecal waste mixed with saw dust as manure for pineapples, sugar cane, parminger, vervain, scent leaf etc.  I harvested lots of egg from the native chickens which I s        old in the open market from where herbalists purchased them. For their feed, I obtained the waste from the processing of maize to pap and mixed with protein sources from plants, maggots and chicken feathers.

I produced or obtained maggots from the poultries, cleaned them up and roasted them with leaf powder. The process may have been alright for a small holding, but can it not be improved upon for larger stocks? Poultry farmers can grow SPIRULINA in small ponds on their farms. It is probably the plant with the biggest source of chlorophyll and beta carotene in the plant kingdom. Its proteins are complete and between 60 to 70 per cent absorbable. It comes with minerals, vitamins, plant sterols and other factors. The more beta carotene a chicken consumes, the more yellow the yolk of its egg.  Poultry chickens are not fed plant feed and so do not have access to adequate beta carotene. To make the egg yolk yellow, therefore, the farmer adds dyes which may be carcinogenic to the chicken and humans. All the injections the chicken is given for Gomboro, New Castle diseases end up in their flesh and egg. This is why some of them have to be discontinued one month or 14 days before slaughter. However, who in the face of business, keeps to these rules? How do we know how chemically safe the egg and chicken we are eating are? Everything is made so easy for the chicken farmer of today in the INFORMATION AGE only if he or she is not mentally lazy and living in the past. Many plants are proteinous.

Jatropha Tanjorensis Ellis, called IYANA IPAJA in Lagos or HOSPITAL TOO FAR in Akwa Ibom or Catholic Vegetable by other persons, is a remarkable plant. It is a popular vegetable in Asia. It grows rapidly, especially if well tended. It only requires cooking or roasting for about 20 minutes to neutralise the anti-nutrients. According to a study published in https://doi.org/10.1017/S0043933917000824, Jatropha seed bears 35 to 50 per cent crude protein which may replace soya bean as a  protein source in livestock feeds when they are treated with heat or chemical to neutralise anti-nutrient inhibitors present in them. Such treatment releases several other nutrients such as antioxidants, immune modulators and anti-inflammatories etc. Can the poultry association not set up Jatropha plantations and a Jatropha seed mill factory for livestock feed? This import substitution will lower poultry cost, increase profit, make poultry products more organic and health friendly and create jobs. What about SORGHUM BICOLOR stalk which cost next to nothing but provides 85 to 87 per centcrude protein? We should not be throwing away maize covers, they can be used for many purposes, including manure. What about those reddish leaves, the FRUIT (or Almond) tree sheds regularly?

Can the poultry farmers not grow other ornamental but nutritious plants on the farm and mill them to powder? I once solved the question of BONE MEAL by gathering the shells of egg from mai-teas and grinding them to powder for calcium. Those leaf powders provided the counterpart magnesium. For more protein, I collected chicken feathers from the then Onipanu chicken market by the FirstBank branch, and roasted them to powder in a mixed of palm kernel cake, maggots and other protein sources. Onipanu Chicken Market was an eye sore but thriving “wait-and-get” chicken market were chicken was slaughtered, cured, dressed and bagged within minutes. The women threw away the feathers, unknown to them it was money and nutritious for the chicken. So, they gladly gave it to me to dispose of for them. Google says feathers present between 75 and 80 per cent crude protein, in particular amino acids such as arginine, cystine, glycine and phenylalanine.

Reading provides information and information converted to action provides power over the economy and environment. It is remarkable that the young microbiology graduates I approached in those days to partner with me in maggots and spirulina farmingjç, considered the job too dirty for their level of education. That is what I believe still holds back the poultry farmers today.

People who know that I stopped eating poultry chicken and egg about 20 years ago may wonder why I have suddenly become an advocate for their production.  I still eat egg but from free range chicken and guinea fouls. It is the egg and flesh of the caged, sick and chemicalised birds I despise. I cannot recommend for other persons what I do not eat. That is why I suggested natural materials in the place of pharmaceuticals.

    EBI N PA WA

Everywhere, people say they are hungry…”EBI N PA WA”. That statement is even more powerful than merely expressing hunger. Ebi n pa wa means “hunger is killing us”.  The tongue is a powerful organ. It forms words. Like thoughts and the physical deed, the spoken word forms the environment of everyone. Thus, no one can rise beyond his or her thoughts, the spoken words and the deed. Is it, therefore, surprising and shameful even as Peter Obi has put it, that Ukraine, a country of 39 million people by United Nation 2024 projection and living under a devastating war for two years running with Russia, is not hungry and making donation of maize and sorghum to a hungry Nigerian population of 228 million people by United Nations projection for this year. More annoying is that Nigeria has an arable land mass of 37 million hectares whereas the arable land mass in Ukraine is eight million from which it provides food for itself and other nations. I subscribed to the conception that the womanhood of a nation is the barometer for measuring the well being of the people.

Currently, many Nigerian women, especially the young ones, are walking half naked on the street and opening their legs just about anywhere for just about anyone. No one is thinking of cultivating the land. The churches and mosques are growing richer but are not investing in agriculture to feed their hungry congregations. The Agriculture Minister, Abubakar Kyari, the 36 agriculture commisioners and the FCT mandate secretary for agriculture appear to have no revolutionary ideas for improving food supply. Is it not enough to say food prices are up because food is being exported for more income to hungrier nations around us. In my FACEBOOK account at (John Olufemi Kusa), I have added my widow’s mite contributions on how to farm 100 trillion rabbits and 100 trillion Papaya in one or two years alone. If 100m Nigerians are led by the Agriculture Minister and Commisioners to plant pawpaw seeds everywhere every day for one month, we may have one billion seedlings on our hands. If we treat them to become female and dwarf by removing the tap root, as Mrs. Shade Kusa has taught many of us, and if each one produces about 50 fruits every year, we can imagine how many pawpaw fruits may be available on the dining table. I imagine everyone eating two free  pawpaw fruits for breakfast. There should be no hunger in the land. The rabbit revolution will be a bigger kettle of fish. We have no business with hunger. Pitifully, this generation is thoughtless and bereft  of KNOWLEDGE, however ERUDITE it is. With the astral environment heavy with negative vibrations which the populace which planted the seeds must experience, does a government, well meaning as it could be, not labour in vain?

    220 MILLION  EGGS A DAY

Yes, Nigeria can produce no fewer than 220 million eggs a day, one for everyone. I thought of giving this idea to Mr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, the Interior Minister, before Beta Edu’s spanner in the works. He was a dynamic, fast-moving minister. He had sorted out log jams in the Passport Office and got many prisoners money to pay their court fines and return home. Nevertheless, he was still feeding about 80,000 prisoners in 244 prisons nation-wide every day at a cost of about N700 per meal. When the budget got too high and the rations were to be reduced recently, some prisoners  violently protested. When I heard that, I thought all of us free citizens were stupid. If 80,000 fellow citizens broke the law which we always stress ourselves to respect, why should they be eating three square meals a day on our bills with nothing in return besides serving their terms when many of us eat only one meal a day or none at all?

Mrs.  Beatrice Oloyede, a poultry guru, informed me two  farm  hands can feed 5,000 birds in one  day.  From this, I wondered why the prisons cannot deploy five inmates to 5,000 birds and, nationwide, create 5,000 poultries, each of 5,000 birds or 25 million birds. If half of them lay eggs every day, this would mean 12.5 million eggs or 417 crates. If all 80,000 prisoners nationwide eat two eggs a day, this is only 160,000 eggs a day out of 12.5 million. The remainder could be sold.  Prisoners can be paid for their labour, while learning a trade.  A special fund can be created from which, after their terms, they may be given start-up capital for their own poultries. If other prisoners are engaged in other areas of agriculture, such as rabbit farming and vegetable farming, the government can save a lot of money from prison food budget. If society follows this trend, there should be little or no cry of … EBI N PA WA…

King Charles III: Thunderous disgrace for chemotheraphy industry

Bill Henderson, where art thou? This is your year! This author of the 317-page book titled: Cancer Free angrily wrote to tell humanity that doctors who prescribe chemotherapy for cancer are wicked, deadly killers of their patients. The book informs us that Bill’s wife did not die of her cancer but was mangled by chemotherapy, weakened and then killed by the drugs. For his evidence, the book presents many cases of persons who survived different kinds of cancers not on chemotherapy, but on various natural protocols. This book should, therefore, be of serious interest to King Charles III of England who last month rattled the world of Oncology when he rejected chemotherapy for his prostate cancer and, instead, said he preferred healing herbs and herb portions. The thunderous assault on Oncology, a cult of medicine, reverberated globally. In a feeble, face-saving retort, Oncology replied that the King was putting his life at risk. Only time will tell who is in the right.
Who did not know King Charles III would reject chemotherapy for his prostate cancer? And who did not trust that the orthodox medical community would fire back that he was running a gargantuan risk to his life? All his adult life as Prince Charles before he became King and even now, this man has been an unrepentant naturalist, whether in his attitude to marriage, old British architecture, medicine, or in his conversations with plants which many persons considered weird. He would go hunting with his friends within a few minutes of calling by the bedside in hospital of his wife, Diana, who had just had a baby. British women would consider him to be a wicked husband. British Prime Minister John Major would seek popularity among angry British women by taking a two-week vacation from work to baby sit with his wife who had a baby in the same season.
For Prince Charles, there was hardly a better way than what he did to tell his wife and the world that the love of a man for a woman did not lie in her capacity to fill his home with children! His love lay elsewhere, with Camilla Parker Bowles, his former heart throb who, since tradition forbade him to marry her because she was not a virgin, had gone on to marry another man, a sailor in the Royal British Navy. Diana was more beautiful, more elegant and a virgin to the bargain. Prince Charles had been forced to marry Diana by the tradition which obliged him to marry a virgin. He had to abandon his relationship with Diana’s elder sister, and go for Diana. Now, a virgin had been found for a wife who would be his queen, but would his conservative mien stand a future model for all English women who wore hot pants about in town instead of Elizabethan dressing rising up to her chin and dropping to her wrists and heels? Oh No! The hypocritical Church of England would not mind as long as Diana was a virgin and would not stand a divorcee in bed or beside the future King. Pointedly, the Church told Prince Charles he could not be the King of England in succession to his mother if he divorced Diana and married Camilla. Prince Charles proudly replied that he did not mind abdicating the succession lineage for his son Prince William to become King in his place.
The battle line was drawn. The Church would seem to shift ground a little when it said that, if Prince Charles became King as husband of Camilla, he would forfeit the title of Defender of the Faith. This title of the Kings and Queens of England dates back to 1521 in the Roman era when Pope Leo X granted permission to King Henry the VIII to bear it in defence of the 10 Sacraments of the Church of England, one of which forbids divorce. Prince Charles responded that in the event of not becoming Defender of the Faith if he married Camilla, he would answer to the title Defender of Faith. By taking away the definite article the in the former title, Prince Charles suggested, he would become defender of all faith including Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism etc. The Anglican Church gave up. Diana would later die with her Arab boyfriend in a celebrated motor crash. Charles and Camilla would become husband and wife. That was the strong willed Prince Charles whose relationship with plants was a surprise to many persons who had lost touch with Mother Nature. He was found always playing with and talking to plants. Many persons do not relate science with reality in order to discover that something is wrong with the perception of reality by science which Prince Charles may have discovered. Science, for example, teaches us that there is something in the middle of the earth which forces everything on earth to be earth-bound. Science calls this miraculous force gravity. Yet, it has been found that in the emergent science of Thanatology (science of dying, science of Extra Sensory Perception or Out of Body Experience – OBE), for example, space and time do not pull down certain factors or cage them.
Let us return to mortal earth. Why would we plant a grain of maize in the soil or plant a seed of mango and that force in the middle of the earth would not stop it from pushing aside the soil and grow into a robust plant, flowering and fruiting? The answer is to be found in the ministration of elemental beings or nature beings about which many persons have forgotten, to their own detriment but which as Prince Charles and, now, as King Charles III, the English Monarch gives their due recognition in his rejection of chemotherapy and preference for healing herbs and medicinal portions. Now, we know that Nature beings are the forces which produce everything we label as nature …hills, mountains, rocks, forests, seas, oceans, lakes, lagoons, islands, land masses, fire, earth, air, water, soil, the planets, the stars, the galaxies and the universes! They come in different species, shapes and sizes. Many cultures knew of the garden gnomes, the elves, nixies and salamanders, and of the water spirits which may be what some Nigerians call “mammy water”. The Yoruba call a species of them egbere. Diminutive and in human form, it is said to always go about with a mat of inestimable cash value which persons still blessed to see try to steal, one of the reasons they are no longer demystified enough for our physical eyes to see. Did the Lord Jesus not see them at work when he told fisherman Simon Peter to cast his net where his day’s labour was well rewarded? Animals still see them. They lead sick animals to herbs which would heal their ailments. They lead pregnant goats to plants which are good for them as food and medicine. Hunters reveal that animals which escape with gunshots injuries know where to find herbs which almost immediately heal them. Were our bodies not like these animals’ before they became homo erectus and homo sapiens? Was this not the foundation of healing therapies in Africa before Europeans destroyed our partnership with nature.
The foregoing is my understanding of King Charles III’s rejection of chemotherapy for his prostate cancer. Chemotherapy is a money spinner in the cancer industry. Yet, few patients survive it. Prescriptions keep coming and growing despite a humongous list of persons who survived cancer using natural medicines. The book Cancer Free by Bill Henderson details many survivors and the herbs which saved their lives.
I kept Shakirat Adeoti, who was on chemotherapy, alive for one year on grape fruits seed juice. At that time, we did not have grape seed extract in Nigeria. She was a 33-year-old Micro biology graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, who had full blown cancer in both breasts. That was in the early 2000s. She exhibited no common signs of chemotherapy until about the 15th months on it. When cancer challenged persons ask me if they can add chemotherapy to their treatment regimen, I frankly tell them this is a poison that they will load into their sick and weak bodies when their better bet should be potassium and oxygen-rich foods, blood cleansing and tissue detoxifying herbs and juices, immunity boosters, antioxidants, alkalizers, hapaprotectives, quantum energy devices, anti-microbials, chelated minerals, anti-angiogenesis substances which cut cancer feeding lines and shrink their sizes , such as shark cartilage etc. I do not know where King Charles III will turn. I am sure he will have the best of British traditional medicines and may be from the Orient as well.
The British High Commissioner to Nigeria may wish to check out Nigeria, starting with JOBELYN, which has journeyed from one American laboratory to the other for 30 long years, seeking global relevance until, finally, it was listed in the Drug Dictionary of the United States Cancer Institute. Meanwhile, shall we roll out for His Royal Majesty some dependables from Mother Nature’s ever benevolent treasure trove.
Some of the herbs and other natural protocols which Bill Henderson says heal some cancer challenged persons include Flaxseed oil, Cottage cheese (Budwig diet), Greens (Wheat grass, Barley grass, Spirulina, Alfafa etc.), Pau d’ Arco, Essiac Tea, Graviola, Red rasberry, Artemisin, Beta Sitosterol, Shark cartilage, Grape juice, Vitamin B17, Noni juice, Mistletoe, Selenium, Zinc, Chlorella etc.
Bill Henderson reminds me of some plant medicines I thought have gone out of season. One of them is Pau d’Arco. This plant, in turn, reminds me of Pa Oye Igbemo, now of blessed memory, who was General Manager of the Federal Savings Bank. He was in his 80s, and was on a wheel chair. He worried so much about his prostate gland, although his Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) result was always below 1.0, against a maximum of 4.0 for healthy prostate gland. More troubling was that he suffered, also, from Occult blood, blood in the faeces which couldn’t be detected by routine laboratory test because the bleeding was far away from the anus. A special camera was inserted into his colon and, on a television screen, he saw four sections of it bleeding. Two times he was invited for surgery, but he declined. He was working on the possibility of being healed by Pau d’Arco which I had suggested to him. The aim of the surgeon was to remove the bleeding sites and join together the healthy parts. Pa Oye Igbemo had a friend who had gone through this type of surgery and turned out not to enjoy the rest of his life. In such a surgery, the patient is said to lose the benefits of the areas of the colon removed. Each area is a specialist area and the loss would, therefore, be a health minus although it could prolong life. In the colon, cancers are preceeded by inflammation (colitis) and then ulcers, which transform the condition to ulcerative Colitis. The condition gets worse towards a cancer when the mucus membrane begins to produce excess mucus. In the event of mucoid ulcerative colitis, cancer is a stone throw away. Pa Oye Igbemo, till he passed on last year, meticulously took Pau d’Arco tea and added the powder to his meals. Three months later, he returned for another test prior to surgery. He and the doctor were shocked to discover that all the ulcers had healed. Till he passed, Pa Oye Igbemo’s password whenever he telephoned me was “BABA Pau d’Arco”!
Of Pau d’Arco, Bill Henderson writes in Cancer Free:”Many people have been cured of all kinds of cancer by drinking Pau d’ Arco tea (also known as Taheebo tea). Obviously, it is something you should know about. Roger Delong is a retired airline pilot who cured himself of cancer using Pau d’ Arco tea. He was so convinced it would help people that he set a simple, inexpensive way for cancer patients to get it. For several years, Roger imported it by the ton and sold it. He even gave it away to those who couldn’t afford it. He does not do that any more, but he does have a web site http://www.pau-d-arco.com with lots of information and a couple of sources he trusts”.
Another interesting therapy Bill Henderson mentions are proteolytic enzymes. These are enzymes which help to digest proteins. When they are taken with meals, they make a great digestive aid. Taken on empty stomach, they go for foreign proteins or proteins in the body, which are degenerate, such as tumours and malignant cancers. They may include such enzymes as bromelin from pineapple, papain (from the leaves, seeds, unripe fruit, stem and roots of pawpaw -Papaya) or from pepsin, which is produced in the stomach. A proprietary product with a good array of them is neprinol. What intrigues me most is its chemical formula of the secretion of silk worm. My generation of children ate a lot of roasted silk worm. We brought it out from its hard cocoon, mature or immature, using knives to cut the cocoon through and, if that would not work, we used an axe. What surprises me as an adult is that what we as children needed sharp knives or axes to rip open was easily dissolved by the secretion made by the silk worm whenever it was mature and ready to step out of the cocoon. Why would such a secretion not dissolve a tumour? This question led producers of neprinol to include this formula in the proprietary blend.

    Of Enzymes, Bill Henderson writes:
“In November 2001, I discovered Bob Davis and his story. He has inspired me. But he has also furnished me with a ton of information about complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) treatments for cancer. He will share them with you, too. I’m 88 years old, and I’ve overcome cancer twice! “In April 1996, Bob Davis went to the hospital as an outpatient for an x-ray. They found that I had a massive cancer. I had a mass in my abdomen a foot wide and several inches thick. Furthermore, I had several masses in my chest, some of them ‘the size of soft balls’. It was also determined that I had cancer in my bone marrow. I was immediately converted into an ‘in’ patient and started on a very, very heavy chemotherapy programme. I had chemo in April, May, and June, with no effect on the cancer. It seemed to thrive on the stuff. It was in the middle of June when my doctor told me that the chemo wasn’t working. He later told me that another treatment would kill me. I knew that was true because my body was ravaged by the chemo. I asked my doctor what we were going to do. He said ‘Try….. something else’. The previous February I had called Chum who had devastating arthritis. He couldn’t climb stairs or drive his car. I asked him how he was doing and he said ‘Fantastic’. He told me that he was taking a herbal product and it had eliminated his arthritis in three weeks. I asked him what it was and he said ‘dried green barley leaves’. He gave me the 800 number and I ordered a bottle for my wife who had arthritis. It was the middle of June as I mention above, that I received a phone call from the owner of the company that provides the dried green barley pills (Florence Biro). She asked me how I was doing on the pills. I told her that I wasn’t using them. I had gotten them for my wife and they helped her when she remembered to take them. I then said the most fortunate thing I have said in my life. I said, ‘I’m fighting another battle.’ She asked me what it was and I told her that it was cancer. She said, ’Oh, Mr Davis, you don’t know do you?’ I asked her what was it that I didn’t know and she said , ’Don’t you know that cancer and arthritis can’t grow in an alkaline body?’ I told her that I had never heard that before. To make a long story short, I started taking the pills and in 10 days my cancer was 95% gone! My next CT scan showed no cancer in my body and I have been cancer free ever since. I was checked last month and I am still cancer free. I still take 200mg tablets of dried green barley every day”. There are many more cases of natural healing of cancer reported in Cancer Free by Bill Henderson.
One of them that I will like to speak about at the earliest opportunity is PAWPAW twig. It is said to kill both the stem and the flowering and fruiting parts of cancer whereas chemotherapy kills only the flowers and the fruits, leaving the stem as remnant cancer which then grows aggressively, flowering and fruiting as whole cancer plant that is indestructible. Whichever direction King Charles III follows for a natural prostate cancer cure, his rejection of chemotherapy remains a thunderous disgrace for the chemotherapy industry and its purveyors.

Take-away food box: ‘Riddance to rubbish’(2)

For how long will the battle rage over whether sachet alcohol can be sold in Nigeria’s motor parks? In less than one month, the ban on the sale of sachet alcohol in motor parks is the second major crack down on soft plastic food packaging. The producers say the ban would cause them about N4 trillion,  harm their business or kill them, and erase about five million jobs. Sachet alcohol is sold not only in motor parks, but everywhere imaginable, and patronised especially by young persons who find in it a cheap means of “highing up” and creating social storms. The government of Lagos State and the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) are up in arms against soft plastics food packaging for different reasons. For the government, the trylofoam or “take away” food packs constitute environmental and health nuisance. NAFDAC says alcohol sale in motor parks intoxicates drivers and endangers the life of road users.

The first part of this series pointed out crude petroleum as the origin of plastics and suggested that when they are heated, petroleum residue in them leach into the food and drinks stored in them.  Reference was made to baby feeding bottles, plastic plates and cutlery, water bottles, palm oil and “ogogoro” stored in plastic containers, over-head plastic water storage tanks and plastic pipes buried in the earth, biscuits, sweets, chewing gum, condoms and many more. The bottom line was that these petroleum residues may end up in the blood in the brain and in other organs, causing health havoc, including mental health challenges often mistaken for lunacy or insanity. Many of these conditions are approaching or have arrived at near epidemic proportions, and raising questions about whether a relationship exists between their numbers and the upsurge in plastic consumption.

Since that publication last Thursday,  February 15, 2024, there has been an announcement on a Lagos radio station that air pollution has been associated with an increasing wave of suicide in Nigeria. Air pollutants such as lead, cadmium, arsenic and mercury from the petroleum residues in traffic exhalt must be leading culprits.  In due course, this column will strive to differentiate lunacy from possession, from which many persons  may be suffering. Only few Nigerian neurologists, such as Dr. Abayomi Aiyesimoju and some general practitioners, appreciate the difference. I am acquainted, also, with some psychologists and psychiatrists who understand the conception of possession by earth bound human souls and can deal with it. Better still   is the understanding and healing capacity in Nigeria’s Traditional Medicine (NTM). Last week, I suspected Possession in a criminal act that was announced in a radio news bulletin in Lagos. Somewhere in the country, a motorist drove against the traffic in what we call “ONE-WAY” driving in Nigeria, a serious traffic offence which, in some states, could warrant mental health investigation of the suspect. A traffic policeman stopped the motorist. In the twinkle of an eye, however, the motorist reached out for petrol stored in a plastic container he kept in the vehicle, opened it, poured it on the policeman and then lit a match to set the law enforcer on fire! The Policeman died agonisingly. This was a clear case of Split Personality which  may be more of possession than lunacy and had various variants – some calm, some aggressive, depending on the earth bound soul which may be struggling to take possession of the physical body from the rightful owner. The motorist recognised what he did, and fled. In traditional medicine, the healing therapy for “possession”, which his action resembles, is from the body to the soul “through the right kinds of foods and drinks”to improve blood composition and radiation or voltage, and from the soul to the body for the same purpose through engagements in “positive thinking and joyful activities. (this subject will be addressed in more details in future).

I am sorry for the sachet alcohol market.  It will lose a huge captive customer base in motor parks nationwide. I am sorry for NAFDAC too. It will rid the motor parks of sachet alcohol alright, but can it effectively police all the bus-stops where dislodged sellers of sachet alcohol may now be meeting their customers? This is a serious battle with no end in sight, in my view.

Sachet alcohol is too tempting to give up. It is cheap. It is readily available. The producers of all kinds of alcohol are scrambling over one another in the market with colourful designs and appeal. Passenger bus drivers and bus conductors in Nigeria virtually live on it for stamina to engage their herculean tasks of pursuing “delivery money”, chasing after passengers, beating their competitors, overcoming the Police and other traffic agents and outsmarting the control of their own trade union. Accidents often occur as a result. Policemen on duty, too, may be  high-up on sachet alcohol. Who on a cold night would kiss his wife good-bye and head for the office and, without any pep up, bear arms in pursuit of armed robbers? In the newsroom, only few teetotalers such as Lade Bonuola and  Eluem Emeka Izeze may not have touched the sachet alcohol in their career. In the newsroom, I already knew of the dangers of alcohol in sachets and avoided it. My favourite was  Baileys. I drank it from the bottle. I do not know how Mr. Olumhense, of Night Shift in those days, got to know it was my favorite drink. Night shift was the cooling spot for governors and the high and mighty of the society. I was not a patron, although I lived about 500 meters away. What took me there was Mr. Gbenga Omotosho’s bachelor’s night. I stopped over from work at about 2am for just about an hour or two. Mr. Olumhense filled my table with several of the largest size of Baileys and gave the gate men instruction to not let me out. It was a hilarious night. All the who was who among the spinsters of The Comet newspaper were there. Their Editor was getting married and their Editor- in-Chief was in attendance. They made mow. That night reminded me of my boyhood days. I danced all through the night with the young women in groups, returning to the table only to fill up and return to the dance floor. By 7am, Mr. Olumhense let me go.  I went home, only to bathe, change clothes, get to into the car and drive off to the office. Baileys was also the favourite drink of my wife. Whenever we had a storm and I went to work without saying good bye, I was sure to receive a telephone call early in the evening, announcing that a bottle was chilling in the fridge. That meant she wanted to make up and  a bottle could be downed in the night over sweet nothings.

    Mouth and gum

In the 1980s, I joined the vogue of dental scaling and polishing of teeth. I was warned that I might lose six teeth if I did not fill them up. I stopped the young dentist when I realised he was drilling my teeth, not resurfacing the wear. Mercury is one of the most poisonous heavy metals on earth. Hundreds of millions of us world-wide have it in our mouths. It vaporises especially under heat. Who does not eat hot food or drink hot tea? A German conference exposed the dental industry swindle, and many patients sued their dentists. Medicine immediately switched over to Plastic Amalgams only to discover this is no better either. Vaporisation affects the gum and may visit the eyes. Thus, life-long Detoxification may be the answer to Gingivitis and Pyhorea (tofoth inflammation) and gum disease. Imagine a war in the teeth, root canals and gums to which toxins from Take-Aways are added!

This reminds me of Dr. Fafure, a Medical Laboratory Technologist who brought to the table a few decades ago, a proprietary product called Papiteeth. When one of my female colleagues was to undergo root canal surgery for ailing teeth but had no money and was scouting for herbal remedies, I told her the one I had expired five years before then. She took it and used it and had no need for the surgery.  I, too, need Papiteeth today, but  cannot find Doctor Fafure, a fellow  member of the National Council of Physicians of Natural Medicine (NCPNM) .

    Esophagus

The rate of esophageal cancer is growing. The causes may be different from those of other cancers, central to which must be free radicals, toxins, acidosis and fungi among others. I remember, two persons, Mrs. Florence Fusi, 57, and a Personal Assistant to Babatunde Fashola as Governor of Lagos State. Mrs. Fusi’s weight had crashed to about 38kg when Simeon Ekor, introduced her to me. He would later develop cancer of the foot from which he passed on despite the amputation of the leg from below the knee. Mrs. Fusi could not eat or drink water. Her diagnosis kept indicating esophagitis (inflammation of the esophagus). I told her to ask her doctors to be sincere with her. They wanted to bore a hole from the abdomen to the stomach and insert a plastic tube through which she could feed  liquefied food. They said if she could make 80kg, they would remove bad portions of the esophagus and replace it with a healthy portion of her intestine. She objected. I persuaded her to agree. Her meals were well chosen to include easily assimilable proteins and bone marrow meals which we obtained from New Zealand. Her weight hit 70kg, but cancer cells may have dropped into the stomach to cause such excruciating pain which led to chemotherapy from which she passed on. I suspect the plastic tube insert worsened the pain. The stomach must have considered it something to be digested and over produced hydrochloric acid and enzymes necessary for this purpose.  The gentleman was luckier. He was thin and often wore three tops for cold. He was seeing doctors in England and helping himself with nutritional supplements in Lagos. His favourites were Calamus Root, Wheatgrass, Graviola,  SlipperyElm, Vitamin  C, Spirulina, etc. I was in the office of my neighbour, Mrs. Bukola  Azeez, CEO of  Budget Travel, when he came on a visit one day. I did not recognise him. He wore a beautiful suit and had filled out. I had to be re-introduced to him!  Some colon cancer patients do not make it, despite complete nutrition changes and Alkalisation.

    The liver

This is the most important organ for detoxification in the body. It is now known that no cancer can take root anywhere in the body if the liver functions optimally. All toxins pass through it to be broken down.

It must be protected to do this job well. Researchers did a good job in their studies of Hepa-protectives (liver-protecting substances). In some experiments, three groups of animals were fed with Carbon Tetrachloride, a terrible liver-damaging chemical. The first group was unprotected. All animals in the group died. The second group was fed the poison and mikthistle, liver protecting herb. simultaneously, the second group was fed the poison a Milk Thistle, a liver-protecting herb. They fell ill but not many died. In the third group, which was on Milk Thistle before they were fed the poison, none of the animals died. Milk Thistle won its reputation as a Hepa-protective.

Many persons who are exposed to petroleum and other toxins in take-away food packaging and other plastic poisoning do not know about Milk Thistle and do not regularly protect their liver against any form of danger. Thus, the liver may function sub-normally and, over a period of time, toxins which escape detoxification may aggregate in weak organs and cause havoc. The havoc is often seen in endocrine glands.

We now know of many Hepa-protectives, including Jerusalem Artichoke, Carqueja, Dandelion, Burdock root and Maria Treben’s  Swedish Bitters.

    Thaumatococcus Danielli

This is a great hepa-protective leaf in which many Africans cooked their food or wrapped them for hundreds of years before the advent of soft plastics in food packaging. This is the great, old healing leaf our forebears in Nigeria cooked and ate Agidi (Igbo) eko (Yoruba) moin- moin or Oole (Yoruba) and fufu. I did not know it had medicinal value until I had my last child at Duro Solaye Hospital on Allen Avenue Ikeja in Lagos.

My children came with neonatal jaundice. In this condition, the baby’s liver was too weak to clear the yellow factor, Bilirubin, in the blood as red blood cells break down. Over the years, I had known how to help the baby through the mother’s breast milk.  I remove from her bed side cupboard all carbonated drinks with sugar in them.  I dodged the ever watchful eyes of that great Paedetrician,  Dr. Egejuru, and  the nurses to give my wife liver-strengthening herbs which she would pass through breast milk to the baby. The drinks were well diluted for baby tolerance. Three beds away was a woman whose baby had three exchange blood transfusions (EBTs). That meant the baby’s  polluted blood was substantially removed and replaced with cleaner blood.  I couldn’t help her out because we were in a hospital environment where only the doctor’s protocols could be used without queries. She sought the discharge of her baby. To everyone’s surprise and joy, her baby made the first antenatal clinic, one of the most robust. What happened? In her village, Epe, the elders boiled Thaumatococcus  Daniellii leaf   for the baby to drink and for bathing. The yellowing all over the body cleared. I did not pay serious attention to this information for years, but gave it some thought only if I heard of a sickle cell challenged person in crisis, especially when jaundice had set in and the liver was inflamed and painful. I told them to do what this woman did, and they returned to thank me. About five years ago, I researched Thaumatococcus Daniellii and had a shocker. It was a liver-protecting leaf which helps even alcohol-damaged livers to recover.  It was used for food packaging not only in Nigeria but in several African countries as well. Our forebears were wise. They worked with Mother Nature. We are foolish because we depend only on the intellect which is limited to space and time. Otherwise, how could we have been eating toxins in plastic with food while we have medicinal leaf for food wrapping at our beck and call. Thanks to Mrs. Comfort Obayuana, a.k.a Madam flower of health ways, who helped me to make the first powder products of this leaf.

Today, Nena Uche is no longer with us for her to see how the copy which challenged her cub reporter investigative Journalism skills had finally seen the light of day. Nothing is lost in CREATION. Every thought, word (spoken or written) and deed is a seed which sprouts, germinates, flowers and bears fruits in the fullness of time.

    The intestine

Colon cancer is almost as common nowadays as breast and prostate gland cancers. The intestine, especially the colon, is about the most punished of the organs by toxins. It is therefore, not surprising that Mother Nature devotes between 70-75 percent immune energy to this region. To help the intestine, the liver must be helped to produce enough bile to mop up soluble poisons and possess soluble and insoluble fiber to help flush them out. A fiber-free diet may encourage accumulation of toxins in the colon. Green leafy vegetables are a  good source of fiber. My favourites are Slippery Elm, Chia Seed, Oregano Leaf, Pawpaw Leaf, Water Leaf, Orange Peel, Banana Peel, Plantain Peel, Baob Leaf and Flak Seeds.

    Battle cry

Weaning a baby off breast milk can be a difficult task. That is why the Take-away business sector is up in arms against the ban, asking for more time and sentimentally warning about job losses. Have the business leaders in this sector wondered if their profits are causing cancer deaths? Are they saying some more persons should die while they wind up their businesses? Can they not accept business as a risk? They had it good while public ignorance lasted. I am told China produced Take-aways for the Nigerian market. In the 1990s, I was aware that China objected to Aluminium Foil package for food and developed a bio-degradable option from the cover of maize, which is thrown away in Nigeria. There are wise Nigerians, who grind them into powder and use as fertiliser for crops. We have 29 research institutes in Nigeria. It is surprising that none of them has come up with how the maize covers can be utilised.

Intestinal problems can be difficult to deal with because they may end up as cancers. Nevertheless, there are several herbs which may offer useful therapy if trouble comes. Among them are Slippery Elm, Psylum Husk, Chia Seed, Calamus Root,  Pau’ d’Arco, Cayenne Pepper and Bitter Leaf.

  • Take-away food box: ‘Riddance to rubbish’(1)

Take-away food box: ‘Riddance to rubbish’(1)

As we say in the back streets of anything which endangers human health, the ban of styrofoam takeaway food boxes by Lagos State Government is…”GOOD RIDDANCE TO BAD RUBBISH”

Generally speaking, all plastics are potential killers, while the ones which come in contact with food are even more dangerous to health. Their origin is crude petroleum. In whichever form, they bear deep within them petroleum residues. These residues are released whenever plastics are heated. Petroleum chemicals in heated plastics migrate into foods, juices and medicines, even food supplements stored in them. These chemicals enter the human body from the edibles and may cause such problems as brain and vision damage, dental and gum problem, throat, stomach and intestine questions, reproductive system issues and many types of cancer.

You may now understand why some producers of food supplements package their products in glass bottles and not  in plastic containers. Three classical examples I can easily recall now are Tahitian Noni, UDO’s health products such as UDO’s oil and Maria swedish Bitters. You may now, also, understand why these products and similar ones are more expensive. Their glass ware packaging protects your health better than competing products package in plastics. Now, “consider ogogoro” sold in plastic bottle. This is a spirit which has the capacity to extract anything into itself and permanently hold it. You can imagine what you gobble when you drink a tort of ogogoro!

Nena Uche, now of blessed memory, was a young reporter in the 1980s when, as her Editor  at The Guardian newspaper, I asked her to investigate correlation between a growing market  of plastic products  in Nigeria and a seeming epidemic of cancer, notably breast cancer. Although her efforts did not yield a copy for publication, I did not lose interest in the subject. I remembered her during World  Plastic Day some years ago as I did again last week when I heard the news that more than 500,000 Africans died of cancer last year. More harrowing was the news as well that more children today are coming down with cancer than did the children of my generation. Even more heart breaking was the news that Nigeria’s hospital system is incompetent in treating cancer. A medical doctor named Amaka whose first name I lost, said in a radio programme that Nigeria needed a minimum of 200 radiotherapy machines but had only 14, one of them for the entire North Eastern region. She said, also, that phototherapy could cause anything from N800,000 to N1.4 millio. This is not to mention chemotherapy and surgery where radiotherapy fails or is inadequate.

I still wonder about the role every day use of plastics may be playing  in the health down-turn of this cancer-stricken generation. Can the cause be plastics? To this question, I will also like to wonder if plastics are behind the rapid growth  of uterine fibroid cases in Nigeria. For almost every other woman is challenged by this reproductive system malaise. If you examine the natural medicines many women take to mitigate uterine fibroid so that they avoid surgery, you may discover that many of them, powder or liquid, are packaged in plastic! I also wonder if cervical cancer against which vaccination is now encouraged is not caused by the use of condoms, soft plastic which should easily yield their toxic residues into secret places of women. For the heat in this places can easily impact a soft plastic. It is not lost on me that Human Papilo Virus (HPV) which is the target of the vaccination may be a culprit in cervical cancer because, nowadays, the cervix has become the receptacle for not only varied sperm deposit but also for frequent deposit by the same spouse or man. This idea is worth investigating by the health authorities. It stems from the the notion that the woman’s secret place is naturally acidic for self protection against germs and infections while sperm is alkaline. The thinking goes that it doesn’t matter if a woman is chaste and sticks to only one partner. Her body is equipped with antibody against “foreigners”, including sperm cells. The semen protect the sperm cells  with anti-bodies- antibodies. Being alkaline, the semen neutralises virginal activities. If it does so on an almost a daily basis, the virgina and the  cervix may lose their natural acid-base immunity, incline towards alkalinity and favour HPV colonisation and cancer.

My siblings and I have not ceased to see our maternal grandmother as an unusual woman. She yielded way in 1980 at 71 to cancer of the right breast. I was 30. A few years before then, she fished out of her wardrobe a basket in which she had kept a number of baby things. She wished to show my children my baby clothes, talcum powder,  empty can of Oster Milk, the reigning infant formula of the 1950s and, of course, my feeding bottle. It was the first time I saw a glass feeding bottle with teat at both ends. This story is to show that today’s babies are  exposed too early  to plastic poisoning. Baby food is served hot in plastic feeding bottles and kept in plastic containers, which are in turn kept in plastic warmers to keep it hot  for as long as possible. Petroleum residues leak into these foods and begin the battle of the infant body with neurological and other health challenges. A study group of medical researchers and doctors in the United States has been campaigning for years for the abolition of plastics in any form in baby food formulas and their feeding paraphernalia. It is a battle that may be difficult to win as other plastics battles. Do babies not eat the teeth of their feeding bottles? Do mothers still not push rubber suckers into the mouths of crying babies? My children were served their meals in plastic plates, ceramic plates and bowls. They took plastic spoons for lunch and took water along in plastic bottles. Hands up all parents who are not trapped with their children in this plastic tradition?

For years, I launched a one-man campaign against the exposure of “Pure water” bags to the sun at Ilupeju Model Market in Lagos where I had an office. Many people still do not know that exposure to heat causes petroleum residues in the sachets of this brand of water to leak into the liquid content. The principal among these leeches is xenoestrogens. Xeno came from the Greek word for “foreign.” Thus, xenoestrogen is foreign estrogen.  These are artificial estrongens . Estrogen, a hormone, makes the woman a woman. Testosterone, the male hormone, makes the man a man. The men have some estrogen in their bodies. However, too much estrogen than they require to be men may make them to begin to develop female characteristics. These may include subnormal sperm cells in many ramifications, including low sperm count, de-energised sperm,  agglutinating  sperm, short-lived sperm,  physically damaged sperm and even azospermia (absence of sperm). Too much estrogen in relation to progesterone, another female hormone which must be a special ratio with estrogen, may cause in women, ovulation problems, uterine fibroids, disruption of the menstrual calendar, period pains, ovarian challenges, premenstrual syndrome (PMS) or Tension (PMT), bloated, tense and sore breasts and even breast cancer. A person with too much estrogen in his or her body is said to be estrogenated. The human body produces its own estrogen. Foreign estrogen may come from estrognated poultry chicken, turkey, eggs, cow milk and flesh, and some estrogenated agricultural products. Although estrogenation challenges may be confronted with and inhibited by such good supplements as Zinc, Vitex, Evening primerose oil, Don quai, Black coshosh, Ashoka, Ashwahgandah, Peruvian mecca, Broccoli, Marigold flower extract etc,  the culprit, petroleum residues are better avoided. Avoiding xenoestrogens may be a lot of work, though, because the modern agricultural system puts them in foods? How many persons do not, like me, eat poultry birds and their eggs?  I gave them up about 30 years ago when I realised that  poultry chicken and turkey, like fish  from  a pond, were sick animals which could give only  MESO health and not RADIANT or VIBRANT health. For health is, at the day’s end, no more than the RADIATION or VIBRATION capacity of the human blood!

Back to “pure water” sachets and our health. Watch the vehicles in which they are distributed in town. Bags and bags of them are exposed to sunlight. They are not protected, also, by the women who buy them. Some women are even nauseating during the maize season when the weather is cold, and many persons are tea hungry. Some women drop a few sachets of water in the basin in which maize is boiled. The heat makes the water suitable for warm or hot tea!

As I said in an earlier article years ago, we now live in a world of poisons and may be unable to do away with plastics. We have the capacity, though, always to detoxify  our bodies of their poisons. For years to come, babies will still be fed from plastic bottles. My children fed from plastic plates and drank their water and tea from plastic cups so they would not break China ware and mugs. Back in high school in the 1960s, did we not take our hot meals in plastic bowls?  If we flee from “pure water” today and go for bottled water, there is something we may not know about this brand of drinking water.  I do not intend here to talk about whether they are acidic or alkaline on the PH scale. Many of them manage to hit 7.0 on that 0-14 scale in which values below SEVEN are ACIDIC and not good for health. That is why many of them do not carry labels which show their mineral content or their pH quality. The Standards  Organisation of Nigeria (SON) and, perhaps, the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), deserve blame for this and more. Many people do not know that, under international good manufacturing practices, these bottles are to bear certain standard numbers at the bottom. Some numbers indicate certain bottle types are not meant to be used for food storage. Some are picked from the refuse dump, washed and recycled for packaging edibles such as drinks, palm oil, peanuts, palm wine etc. If we believe we can avoid these or escape from them, what about the following:

•Plastic pipes bring water into our kitchens from sun-heated overhead plastic tanks. Boiling the water does not inactivate the chemical seepage from plastics. It may even make them concentrated.

•When we buy roast corn or boiled corn or roast yam in the street, is it not kept in cellophane bag?

    • When women grind pepper in the open market, do they not bring it home in plastic containers or bags?

•Do we not eat popcorn and peanut in cellophane wraps? What of biscuits and sweets or chewing gum, all of which may have been sun-heated?

     • To worsen matters nowadays, agidi and moin moin are no longer cooked in leaves but in cellophane wraps! So, we now find fufu no longer in leaf wraps but in “cellophane” covers!

    • Watch commuters hurrying home from work in the evenings. To avoid late cooking, they buy from road-side food sellers all sorts of sizzling hot foods which are dispensed into shopping bags! Some of them who can afford “take-away” food boxes prefer it. They and their families enjoy presumably sumptuous meals drowned in or embalmed with monosodium glutamate( MSG) which is not the subject of this column.

    THE DANGER

I am not looking at the environmental impact of these non degradables, which is one of the major reasons the government of Lagos State had banned their use in the food sector. I am more concerned about how they may disparage human health. I cannot support the argument for more time to sell off existing stock or that abrupt disuse of take-away plastics would erase jobs. We are told many jobs would be lost and businesses would lose money. Don’t people’s lives mean something to us anymore? Every day, petroleum chemicals from plastics may weaken susceptible organs, damage them or even cause cancer. The industry keeps defending itself world-wide.

No part of the body may be safe from plastic poisoning. The summary below says it all.

     THE BRAIN

Psychiatric hospitals are overflowing with patients. However, it is not all cases that are the outcome of psycho-active drug activities. Some brains are filled with heavy metals such as Mercury, Lead and Cadmium which may be discharged from plastics. Unless the brain is detoxified with the mixing of the herbs: Chorella or Chelated Minerals or Chelated Zinc, for example, heavy metals may poison brain cells or cause them to be unable to uptake glucose as food. As glucose is the food of the brain, this may cause what researchers call “Diabetes of the Brain”. Hungry brain cells wilt or die. Is this why many children suffer from Attention Deficit Hyperactivity DisorderIS (ADHD) for which they are labelled “SCATTER BRAINS”? Many adults also suffer from this syndrcaterome. This has nothing to do with psycho-active drugs and “rehabilitation” is not the answer, but detoxification and healing of the distorted or damaged cells. In some persons, it is expressed as Dementia, Alzheimer’s or Parkinson’s disease, all of which are now being related to Glaucoma and said to be treated with Coconut oil as a food supplement. Coconut oil provides the brain with Ketones, an alternative to glucose. Candida toxins may be other culprits behind brain malfunction and irrational behaviour. Candida belongs to the yeast or mold family. Dark-field microscopy exams have now shown candida presence in blood samples, something thought impossible before now. The tongue offers an early warning signal for Oral Thrush, which is often ignored, but is actually a mirror of overpopulation of Candida in the intestine. Candida grows on sugar as fuel and encouraged by a weakened immune system induced by toxic and acidic internal environment. There is another level of chemical toxicity present beyond the intellectual grasp of doctors. Intellectual here does not refer to academic or professional erudition but to the mindset, that is, comprehension of the brain or the intellect that only what can be observed by material senses and physical, scientific tools which assist them really exist in the Universe.  Hence, these “REALlSTS” are limited in scope and experience. The condition is mistaken for lunacy or insanity in which brain cells are actually damaged or lost. In possession, the brain of a healthy person is taken over partly or wholly by a disembodied earthbound soul who takes it over and may crowd out the owner’s soul from the entire body. In the struggle of both souls to control the brain and the body, the original owner exhibits a SPLIT PERSONALITY or BI-POLAR syndrome, often described as lunancy. The origin is a polluted blood composition or low blood vibration (voltage) which enables the invading soul gain access. The simple treatment of this condition is dietary and attitudinal changes which bounce off radiation of the invader by making it not homogenous with the host environment. This is not a subject for today. It is merely to show the role that plastic poisoning may play in this condition, as the professional study groups are saying in the United States.

    THE EYES

They, too, suffer from free radical  activities, especially in the absence of anti-oxidants.  Millions of Nigerians today, many of them young person, suffer from vision challenges encountered in old age some decades ago. With the increasing linkage of the eyes to the brain as outward forms of it, eyes profit from the treatment of the brain. Contact Lenses are, therefore, not encouraged. We learn of their potential danger from how our bath tub plastic buckets can get slimy with fungi. Would we like fungi to invade the eyes in the name of fashion? What if “TAKEAWAY” chemicals find their way into the eyes? The brain and the eyes may profit from Chlorella, Ginkogo Biloba, Bilberry, Marigold flower extract (Lutein, Zeazanthin and Asthazantin), Magnesium, Lecithin etc. I recall a health cure too close for comfort to elaborate upon here. It is about the wife of a prominent Nigerian pronounced “brain dead” in  Nigeria and in the United States. Back home in Nigeria, she received “miraculous” healing through  traditional Medicine. She returned to the University and took a Doctoral Degree!

  • OnPassive: Apples ripen, new applications coming!

OnPassive: Apples ripen, new applications coming!

For the umpteenth time, Udeme James frowned when I changed the subject of today’s column, the first in  2024. I was dictating and she was typing. Brain wave after brain wave aborted subject matter after subject matter close to full bloom. Then, finally, I switched to yet another track… OnPassive and its first outing in 2024 with the promise of customer sharing,  bonus, and commission payments, and  the release of new applications. In September last year, OnPassive released OConnect, its first and only paid application so far. This year may witness the emergence of about 20 applications. Trust  James, like the adaptive chameleon, she changed her frown to a sweet smile when the subject for today’s column changed to OnPassive, with the headline in literal terms announcing that apples had begun to ripen on the farms. Why wouldn’t she, an Onpassivian, who had anxiously waited since 2020 with bated breath for the day of the ripening of the apples?

The good news is that OnPassive business, meticulously planned since 2018, but impacted by unforeseen circumstances, had begun in earnest, although on signalling basis. Literally, signalling means that an advanced train coach has arrived in town as a herald of cargoes at first in staccato deliveries but later in full streams. The first signals are customers’ allocation to registered OnPassivians, the payment of bonuses and commissions, and the release of new applications. This is a season Nigerian OnPassivians have been waiting for. Globally now, there are about 5million OnPassivians, up from 1.47 million in June last year when the register of founding Affiliate of OnPassive Technology company was closed. This means the population of OnPassivians, as OnPassive affiliates are also called, must have grown by about 3.5 million in the last six months. We do not know how many Nigerians are in this OnPassive customer base which is expected to grow by many leaps this year.  If Nigerian OnPassivians can grow a huge population of OnPassive Affiliates, this would mean huge foreign exchange earnings for the country from the new internet wealth Ash Mufareh, OnPassive’s CEO is crusading. The social media, through internet applications, drains Nigeria of huge foreign currency spending every day because it doesn’t give direct money back to the country. OnPassive is designed to do the opposite. It will reward its Nigerian customers with bonuses and commissions and, on top of all that, Nigerian customers will be entitled to a share of 50% of OnPassive profit allocated to the global customer population.  Ash Mufareh has designed OnPassive to take over the global internet business with the largest number of applications by a single company. This means a new world Internet order, world economy order, and a new world wealth order are on the way. This is why OnPassivians in every country are striving to probably position their countries in the OnPassive revolution.

As I said earlier, this season of the payment of bonuses and commissions, and of the release of new applications is the stimulant Nigerian OnPassivians have been waiting for to bring their country men and women on board. Before now, they said their chief handicap was the bare faced rip off and dispossession of Nigerians in the digital market place. Trust Nigerians, they would no longer  invest hard earned monies in these businesses whose owners, upon feeding fat on them, will suddenly terminate such businesses and then disappear into thin air where even the government cannot fish them out. OnPassivians have been showing with credible evidence that OnPassive is not like any of these predating and thieving businesses. For not only is it officially registered in every country, it does business in many nations with government agencies and has begun to establish serious physical presence in many regions of the earth. Where will a company suddenly disappear to which has purchased  two office floors on the Burj Khalifa which has 163 floors, a $1.5 billion USD  edifice in 2010, is the tallest building on earth. OnPassive is not a tenant at the  Burj  Khalifa, but a bonafide owner or “Landlord”, as we say in Nigeria, of two floors in this architectural wonder on earth located in Dubai. As can be expected from this scenario, OnPassive has gained a significant foot hold in the economies of the United Arab Emirate (UAE). Right now, a gigantic OnPassive office is going up in Egypt. Bangladesh is on the cue. India, home country of Ash Mufareh, already hosts the Indian version of California’s Silicon Valley, where egg head Tech Engineers and their support staff exclusively live and work.

Irrespective of these impressive credentials, including endorsement of OnPassive by Dubai Police and the naming of  a popular Dubai train station after OnPassive, anyone who is familiar with  a Nigerian who has been once beaten and become twice shy will know he or she will definitely behave like an Oliver Twist asking for one more full-proof evidence. That full-proof evidence is: “have they started to pay?” That evidence was what OnPassive provided on  February 2, 2024…the start of payment of bonuses, commissions and the allocation or the gift of customers to registered OnPassivians. The OnPassivians is a prized stake holder in OnPassive business and a brand ambassador. He is expected to build a team of OnPassive application users around himself. From time to time, OnPassive will give him or her a gift of team members recruited by the company through its own marketing activities. It is a collaboration to create not just money but wealth for both parties. Thus, the country with the largest population of OnPassivians is likely to become the wealthiest in the new world internet, world economy and world wealth order that OnPassive is spearheading. Nigerian OnPassivians now have one more credible credential to proudly and confidently wave before their country men and women with a warning, though. This warning is that the Register of Affiliates will not be kept open perpetually. It will be closed someday such as the Register of O-Founders closed on June  22, 2022. Once the Register of Affiliates closes, every user of OnPassive applications will become an OnPassive outsider and will not be entitled to the benefits of an insider explained earlier.

        New Applications

This month, OnPassive will release new applications. I doubt if O-HEALTH, one of my pet applications, will be on the table. O-TRACKER appears to be a likely card, being a good complement for O-DOMAIN, the website hosting the platform, which already has about five million member websites signed up. The website has become an important feature of business in Nigeria’s private and public undertakings. OnPassivians should find it easy and interesting to market the brand, especially as OnPassive is both a Domain and Data Super Power company rolled into one. Although I do not like to make guesses which may fail, I cannot help thinking about O-JOY, O-WOMEN and O-MEDIA, about which I have some comments. Before I get to them, I have a dream experience I would like to share.

        From a Dream

I rose one morning last week from a dream  about ONPASSIVE, profusely sweating and breathing fast. Ash Mufareh was not physically present in what I beheld, but, in spirit, he was everywhere. I wondered if he would be able to handle a storm that may break in ONPASSIVE.

        Hold yourself…

There are about one million Nigerian ONPASSIVIANS collaborating with another one million ONPASSIVIANS from abroad in an O-BLESS project to revive the economy of Nigeria, make it a super-star economy, own this economy, and, through ownership, own several other economies on the planet.

Hold your breath, again. For this is not my primary destination. Where I am really heading are ON-JOY, O-WOMEN and O-DOMAIN. I am glad that O-DOMAIN is featuring for a second time in the webinar in the space of one month. If you recall, I mentioned recently how I suspended my website www.olufemikusa.com in December last year for O-DOMAIN to host this year, and Ash Mufareh gave us the assurance that O-DOMAIN would fly out early this year. By the last count, I have about 1,200 articles, each of which is about 2,800 words, waiting by the gate. Many of us will find O-DOMAIN easy to market. We only need to give it the necessary push on its superior edge. These days, there is no serious business organisation in Nigeria which does not have a website or a blog. There is hardly any Lecturer who does not run a blog. How would the world get to know about them if they do not have a blog or a website? My journey is a short one, but the branches and roots are many. One more illustration before I return to the ONPASSIVE story.

I am not an early bird ONPASSIVIAN.The enrolment began sometime in 2018 just before COVID-19. I lost one year on the starting block while prevaricating or doubting. I became persuaded to enrol from the passion to place Nigeria powerfully on the OnPassive map. So did some of my “late bird” friends who are wondering how some applications got their names and if other names would not have served them better. To be sure, what else can beat O-BLESS or O-WOMEN or O-CONNECT or O-VARSITY or O-ACADEMY, or O- MY LIFE, the autobiography application, or O-DOMAIN, my dream? I have heard several applauses for these names. I have told some purveyors of new names for established applications that their suggestions, though well-meaning, arrived at the train station after the coach had left. However, what they are suggesting is that O-NET, the FRIEND’S platforms, should have been called O-PALS OR O-FRIENDS and O-PALS, the chats platform, could have been called O-CHAT OR O-TALK. With their suggestions, my friends, no doubt, wish to Nigerianise these applications. In Mass Communication, there is a course in which THE MEANING of MEANING is taught. Thus, HOT DOG in America does not mean the American hot dog in Nigeria’s Akwa Ibom State or in Ondo State where the dog in pepper soup sauce is a prized delicacy. Thus, a Duberman is hot cake in dog-eating areas of Nigeria. Nigerians see pinging as chatting which is why we speak proudly of our chat groups or chat forums. O-PALS may, therefore, not easily register on their minds as a chat forum, they say. Someone even suggested O-PADI or O-MY PADI for a friends forum. I guess we should recognise that Nigeria is not the centre of the world and that they must be on level crossing for the meaning of meaning everywhere.

Now, over to the O-BLESS storm.

        O-BLESS NIGERIA

I am back to the dream I had sometime last week from which I awoke profusely sweating and breathing fast. There was a multitude I intuitively sensed numbered about two million, half of them Nigerians. The meeting was taking place as a follow-up business initiative after certain agreements with the government of Nigeria for the modernisation of transportation, beginning with the railways.

    1. One million Nigerian ON-PASSIVIANS donate 1,000 USD each. This adds up to US$1 billion. I find it interesting because (a) the Burj Khalifa cost $1.5 billion in 2010 and (b) in naira terms, at the exchange rate of N1,500 to USD, we are looking at N1.5trillion. This is interesting. The budget of Lagos State for 2024 is N2. 26 trillion and that of the Federal Government, a deficit budget, is N27.5 trillion (c) The scenario will be more interesting when foreign OnPassivians pump money through O-BLESS, the fund raising OnPassive platform for O-RAIL in Nigeria.

    1. This is an O-BLESS project. Another one million ONPASSIVIANS from several countries each contributed another $1billion, bringing the fund to USD$2billion or N3 trillion, more than the budget of Lagos State in 2024.

    2. ONPASSIVE will pump this money into the railway system, linking all states capitals, all major towns and especially the East west road route. This will facilitate the movement of persons, goods and services, reduce road vehicular haulage, reduce damage to roads and free budgets for road repairs and other uses. A population shift will occur, saving the bursting cities from overpopulation maladies.

     3. The government agrees OnPassive  will  own the rail lines, earn money for their use,  pay tax to the Federal and State Governments, thereby increasing their earnings. The modernisation and expansion of rail services will create unprecedented number of jobs in the transport sector. More jobs may reduce the crime wave and improve personal spending in the economy and scale up consumption and production.  In turn,  OnPassive will pay daily or weekly or monthly bonuses to ONPASSIVIANS who facilitated this project under O-BLESS. This would be the beginning of a new global co-operation in the economic sphere, not just at the level of governments but by individual human beings. A Nigerian O-BLESS success with this project will spur demands for ONPASSIVE intervention in other countries. Agriculture will gain attention. Can Nigerian ONPASSIVIANS not spare head O-VARSITY, too? Every country will choose its priority areas for O- BLESS blessings. ONPASSIVIANS, not multinationals or transnationals, will become the new global investors and the global economy game chargers.

Are we prepared for this day? Is Ash Mufareh listening? He thinks big and dreams big and lands in BIG TROUBLE of unanticipated impact from which, like the proverbial cat with nine lives, he had developed capacity for miraculous escape. He never thought OnPassive could become as big as it is now, and successfully weathered the growing up pains to present, last week, the oxygen bag of the ripened apples which OnPassivians need to grow their affiliate population.

Well, I, too, was only day dreaming! Ash Mufareh should know where ONPASSIVE may head this year. Dreams, like thoughts, are whispers dropped to us earth-folks from higher realms where the ideas may have been perfected. Thoughts are like plants. They grow when they are held in view and regularly nourished with more thoughts. It is in the union of  ideas that perfection emerges.  So, dear friends, can we begin to dream of OWNING Nigeria and the world, and not just the internet, which is now looking like the first leg of a race for which  Ash Mufareh has prepared us all? So, save money for the rain of WEALTH. Ash Mufareh promised not MONEY, but WEALTH.

    ON-JOY, O-WOMEN

Three applications may be set to fly… ON-JOY, O-WOMEN and O-MEDIA. Word has emerged that O-MEDIA will develop content for the other two, beginning, I believe, with Arabic and, by extension, Islamic culture content. Christians, too, should find a lot of benefits in such content. Basically, the content is to revive the best  attributes in the culture of a people and to protect them. Goodness is goodness everywhere. Evil is evil everywhere. If Arabic children have degenerated to the culture of dressing naked or semi-naked in the street because of the penetration of permissive culture from other lands into Arabic lands, and the content of ON-JOY and O-WOMEN can confront and reverse it, will the Christian communities of Southwestern Nigeria where youth dressing has literally gone berserk, not finding high value in these applications? Will the Arabic content not encourage Christians to seek Christian content? Islam influences many in Northern and Southern Nigeria. Will they not like Arabic content? Does this not suggest that there is serious market waiting in Nigeria for ON-JOY and O-WOMEN?

ON-JOY is about the children of the future who would be so well-behaved that they  would constitute the foundation stock of a new humanity. When I heard this, I took a deep breath. I have been following for 46 years’ Spiritual (not religious) postulations about the human being of the future. This would be the human beings of the MILLENIUM epoch of a golden humanity freed of the HEREDITARY SIN which led to THE FALL OF MAN. This is the sin which led to the over cultivation of the frontal brain or of the intellect which subdued or caged the human  spirit,  diverting its gaze downwards, not upwards. A feature of this man is the unbalancing of the sizes of the frontal and back brains. Imbalance in the sizes of the two brains makes today’s man an unbalanced person and the works of his hand grossing unbalance, whether in education, Agriculture, medicines, Economic systems and government.

O-WOMEN  is about woman as she truly should be, stately and womanly, a store house of power for man, purveyor of  the intimate home not only on earth, but, in all realms of human existence right up to Paradise. Last week, I remembered O-WOMEN when I heard SMA 104.7FM radio station announce one of its programmes, THE MOSLEM HOME.

ON-JOY and O-WOMEN may have Arabic culture content. In future, I foresee content on original Yoruba, Igbo, Efik, Anang, Hausa, Fulani and Kanuri cultures to mention a few. Thus, ONPASSIVE is set to help to resolve the best in our diversity by espousing the “beauty of the peoples”.These two applications should sell like the proverbial hot cake and make the OnPassive apples more abundant and ripen more generously for everyone.

  • Your bank may kill you before your time is up!

Your bank may kill you before your time is up!

I was happy again  last week to learn of  another Nigerian like me who would not be bowled over in the head or in the spirit by dirty money   simply because many of us  literally have to live from hand to mouth nowadays. We have heard of poor taxi drivers who returned millions of Naira forgotten by passengers in their vehicles. We have also heard of poor airport cleaners who handed over large sums of foreign currency discovered in a dust bin. Some thieving persons believe those who have overcome thieving are foolish persons. They do not realise that partakers in thieving who help receive goods stolen from the ceiling of a house are as guilty as the thieves in the cellar. Alaba Alape, from Ojo Onirin, a suburb of Lagos, is that man who made me happy again last week. He told Chans Idehor,  Head of Station at Jordan  105.5 FM Radio StationIIdehor in Lagos that recently, he noticed that a N10 million strange lodgment straight into  his  account and he  promptly called his bank to erase it. The bank did without much ado. Alaba had only one minute to respond on the call-in programme which was on another subject. So, we couldn’t hear the details of the transaction. Nevertheless, the tit-bits pulled familiar strings in my heart, and gave me another opportunity to reflect on the fact that money is not life and that a short fall of it in the pocket does not have to cause mental illness and varying degrees of diseases of the mind and body.

At the time Alaba  Alape was erasing a strange N10million deposit from his account, I, too, was busy, trying to eliminate a strange N107,000 from mine.  Alaba Alape courageously named the bank involved in his N10 million credit splash. If I do not name the two banks involved in my N107,000 transaction,  it is probably because  they did not disturb my psyche too much. The day after I received it, I went to place my bank on notice. Notification of the N107,000 lodgment was coded. It did not tell me the payee’s name, account number or the town from which  the money was posted. The front office staff told me only the forwarding bank could provide the information. Next day, I went to the nearest branch of the forwarding bank. The front office staff, too, kicked me like football back to my Bank branch. Then, I remembered that in Nigeria, if you do not “scatter the ground” in a banking hall, your voice at the loudest pitch, the delivery of your disappointment and demand for civilised service in pungent but eloquent and picturesque English Language, you  would  only be wasting your time. I knew the cameras would be turned on me. So, I announced my identity to show I was not a run-off -the- mill customer, although, financially, I was light weight. . Some Septuagenarians like me  supported me. Younger customers thought I was wasting their precious time. One even to old me … Baba, OTI LO, OWO YEN TI DI A JE MONU which means, Daddy, go enjoy the money, it is free money. He did not know how my mind was working. I thought of  the way government officials sometimes did things that dragged innocent persons into their financial scams. What if this was a splitting of the interest from Trader Moneywhich the government is trying to verify and probe with N3b? What if it was “Happiness” money from the embattled  Happiness Ministry in a particular state for a vision-challenged  person  like me. Did I stretch my hand forward for a palliative?  In my days as Editoral  Director and Editor-in- Chief of The Comet newspaper, did I  not receive a Bank statement from a bank I never opened an account with? Did I not get the bank to withdraw the statement only when I was to involve the Police? Before then,  as Director of Publications/ Editor-in–Chief of The Guardian newspaper, did I not risk being misrepresented to a dangerous Military Head of State that I rejected a N50,000  gift from him? At a luncheon the next day, was I not one of the only two persons they made to sit with him at the high table, may be, literally, to throw me into the lion’s den? Both the Military Head of State and I froze towards each other. The only woman at the table kept a feeble conversation going. Bayo Onanuga, the then enfant terrible of Nigerian anti-military Journalism, as Editor of The News or of Tempo Magazine, was about to go to town but for serious pleas from me.  Did he wish to throw me into the jaws and claws of State Security? Didn’t he know that a cow without a tail shouldn’t bear wounds on its back, otherwise it would have no tail to chase them off? My mother died when I was only nine years old, and my father was a poor retired Policeman who was good at his job but, nevertheless ,suffered promotion setback because he belonged to  no cult in the Police, until Inspector-General M.D. Yusuf discovered him. I shared my experience with Alex Ibru, Chairman/Publisher of The Guardian Newspaper who endorsed my action.  At the next media briefing in Government House, I walked up to the Deputy Head of State, himself, a military man, after officialdom had calmed.

“Sir, how E DEY ENJOY?”, I asked.

He intensely examined  me, and asked: “What do you mean?”

“Sir” I replied, “I mean your elder brother, the Policeman”.

He removed his eye glasses, and asked:

“How did know him?” Again, he asked: You know that name? Few people know him by that name.

Then, I had to reveal my identity. I used to ask him some embarrassing questions at the briefings. Now, I had to remind him his elder brother, E DE ENJOY, was my father’s neighbour at the Police Barracks in Ibara Abeokuta in the 1950s. The Nigerian number 2 Citizen l was  speaking with was, in the 1950s, a Yaba College of  Technology student, Lagos,  who came to spend his school holidays with his brother and kicked football with tiny me in front of the house!

The flashback was hilarious. Now, I had a friend I could turn to should I smell a rat or face  danger, especially in the light of the dastardly murder of a top Journalist.

As these events flashed to and fro on my mind, and as I made ground “scattering” protests, the front office staff shifted the engagement to the Manager’s office. Like the Manager of my Bank branch, this one, too, was a woman and well comported but hardly yielding. After wasting some time, she told me the N107,000 came from Ibadan, but declined to name the payee or his or her other identity. I told her she was only trying to protect her customer, who may have been running foul of the law, who could drag her along into a quagmire, if, through the lodgement, fraud had been committed, and the bank benefited from a commission. I told her, also, that should the EFCC find N107,000 too small to be worth its while to track, and I had no money to waste on Police rascality, we would meet at the public arena. Then, she gave me a code. She said my bank had it. I was to ask the manager to use it to track the payment.  Puzzling to me was the fact that she, too, had it, since she was giving it to me. Why didn’t she use it right away and save me time,  transport fares, energy and anxiety? I would learn later from a former Bank Manager that Bank Managers swear to a secret oath of office to protect their customers. Only state agencies can over run the secret oath.

Half of a loaf of bread is better than none, it is said. I accepted the code, and left. The following day, I was back at my bank branch. I hate to cross the rail-line at Pen Cinema, Agege, as there is yet no pedestrian foot bridge over it. Hon. Mudasiru Obasa , three-time Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly and a potential future governor of the state, is from this constituency where absence of a foot bridge exposes the lives of his constituents to train crushing. I run no car. Were I to engage Pen Cinema from where I live, I would first have  to commute to Asade from Abule-Egba area, change two buses and then board a third back to Pen Cinema. That could take at least one hour, instead of about 15 minutes and about N1,800 on  a return journey for me and my escort which should cost no more than N600 if I went direct over the foot-bridge. Thus, I had to brave the rail crossing, as I   always  remember  that my classmate in Igbobi College( 1969-70) and fellow student at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) in the 1970s,  Adedamola Willoughby,  was killed by a train at a Lagos rail crossing. Rail crossing points improvised by the citizens are always overcrowded. A little pushing or over pushing may make some persons fall into the pit between two rail lines. OYO (On Your Own) is their case if a train approaches. Adrenaline feels my blood at these crossing points. Too much adrenaline can elevate blood pressure, cause heart diseases, including heart attack, kidney damage and stroke.

Whenever I crossed the rail lines, helped by my escort, I joked to her at the other end that, if I heard a train horn, I would hold her tight on the shirt or hair so she would not abandon me and escape alone to safety. She has a tendency to wish to beat the train. No one dares to in the rain season when the inter-track spaces are flooded with contaminating debris and fecal matter.

Inside the bank, I launched another tug-of-war. The code helped. At the payee’s bank, we learned the N107,000 transfer originated from Ibadan. At my branch, I knew the payee’s account number. The manager was foot dragging when it came to name identification. She couldn’t tell me her bank did not have the original application, I said. She agreed and…waooh, the payee was one of my customers! Why he coded his payment, I still did not know. He was paying for a service we discussed about four months ago. Thereafter, I called him on the telephone many times but was told, each time he was “not reachable”. He, too, had been trying to reach me since he made the payment, but I was “not reachable”. It was on the following day I received a message from MTN that my telephone had been barred from making calls. This is another wahala. I was always at the MTN office to update my account as required by law or the company. I have not defaulted on BVN and NIN. What always happens to their records?

We live in a difficult country where simple things are not easily dispensed with. Why should it take me two whole days to know who paid money into my account? Perhaps I should add the pains of Udeme James in the hands of Access BankShe transferred N20,000 via the ATM of the bank to a fellow customer of the bank who was the wrong recipient.  She complained to Access Bank and nothing has been done for two years. She   shrugged her shoulders and moved on. Is this the Ease of Doing Business we are clamouring for?  I didn’t apply for  ATM card because of my vision. Yet Access Bank debits me for using ATM card. I have complained several times to no avail. With GT Bank,  I receive someone else’s statement of account on my telephone number. I  have been complaining in writing for about two years. My account officer is incommunicado.

Interesting, also,  what should be the role of banks in Nigeria’s kidnap industry. The banks are to freeze accounts without BVN and NIN identification. BVN and NIN are to help in the tracking of cash movement in the banking industry. Recently, a family claimed with evidence of bank transfers that it paid kidnappers in the forest N100 million for the release of five kidnapped members. The Police and the Army claimed they did the job.

In respect of the N100million transfer, why did the recipient bank not raise a query when the bank should legally query any deposit over N1million  in personal account? Why has the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) not sanctioned the owner of the account? Were the soldiers and the policemen who went to the forest working in tandem with the bank manager and the kidnappers? Why was no single gunshot fired in this miraculous performance of the  Army and the Police?

    BANKING HEAD-ACHES

Who in Nigeria hasn’t been caused life threatening blood pressure by Nigerian banks? Pa Oye-Igbemo, 84, was a  General Manger of the Federal Saving Bank . Two times in his 80s, his Bank accounts were emptied. His bank couldn’t track the thieves. Pa Hyacinth Uzor, former National Sales Manager of Nigerian Breweries Limited (NBL), lost his phone two times. His bank accounts disappeared each time. The second time, one of his friends bought a used phone which turned out to be his stolen phone.  Pa Uzor threw the phone into a LAWMA public dust bin. The daughter of one of my father’s tenants in Lagos found her bank account was emptied in Hong Kong. Ukeme Effiong, 22, from Uyo went to an ATM one Friday evening to help her father withdraw money he had just borrowed to repair his pick-up van. The machine swallowed the card. The bank had closed  for the day. On her way home, she kept receiving debts alert, and the money was gone. On Monday, first work day of the week, the bank said it did not know how it happened. The Effiongs licked their wounds. I was about  to have my bath about eight years ago when my phone announced a debit alert on an account  dormant for years. Forty thousand naira was gone. I rushed to the nearest branch. My joker was that money couldn’t exit a dormant account.  I began to scream so on the banking floor. Did someone think I had passed on, simply because the account was dormant and I was old? The manager came to see me. About 30 minutes later, he said the alert was an error from their Oyingbo branch. The debit was to be punched against another name and another account but  was mistakenly punched against mine. Did our names look alike? I asked. Anyway, the debit and the service charge of  N4 were immediately reversed. If you take the trouble to check the arithmetic of your statement of accounts, you would always find errors by fractions of Naira or kobo. This is a tiny sum but a huge sum when added up in your account or  for all branch transactions in one day. I like to make all my money transfers on a single cheque and credit my branch with the sum.  I noticed one name was always left out. If you do not verify receipt by the would- be recipients, you may lose money. If you go to complain after some days, you would be asked to write another cheque, in which case you would credit the bank with extra, the unattended transfer being surplus cash in the hands of the bank. I learned that, periodically, the books are balanced and the extra fat cut off and shared!

Our finance Controller at THE COMET newspaper, Mr Olujobi, opened my eyes to the  on unarithmetic arithmetic of the bank statements. He was a damn honest accountant. One month when we were able to pay junior staff, he did his own arithmetic. Two days or so later, the bank refunded money more than was enough to pay the salaries! Midline  bank staff have light fingers because they are largely contract staff whose appointments are not confirmed for years for their output to build   business volumes and huge bonuses for their bosses.

If you have not learned that money is not life, Nigerian banks may kill you before your time! This is because each time they degrade your account, your blood pressure may go up and you may suffer from related diseases which may prematurely kill you.  When you learn that money is not life, and can learn to ignore your loss, forgive them and look up to life in calm confidence to replenish your loss, if you, too,  do not steal in one way or the other from other persons, you may be surprised how well your finances and treasures will grow among the thorns without being pulled down by as little as a grain of sand or a strand of hair… Creation redresses imbalances under THE LAW OF BALANCE. Money does not “answer all things”. It cannot buy LIFE. It is material, and cannot buy life which is immaterial.
