BLACK DRESS is an evening or cocktail dress, cut simply, often quite short though sometimes long. It is considered essential to a complete wardrobe by many women and fashion observers who believe it a “rule of fashion” that every woman should own a simple, elegant black dress that can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion: be it birthday party, wedding, dinner night and sometimes casually you can still wear your black dress. Always know that anything goes with black when you are talking of combining colours together.

Your hair, your look
MANY times we have come across this old saying that the “woman’s hair is her crowning glory”. This is one of the maxims in life that I quite believe in. For most women, having and craving for good hair is universal. This desire is beyond boundaries, and as much as possible, women want to have a soft, shiny and manageable hair that begs to be touched.
When your hair is beautiful, you feel a bit better above the rest. You feel well and your confidence and prestige become high there’s a sort of a WOW factor that oozes in your personality. This may also be the reason why some men are attracted to women with beautiful hair.

Little White Dresses
WHAT’S hotter this season than a little white dress? This is not my first trend alert for the little white dress. But it really is a trend for this season, and if you are in any doubt, please take a look at the fashionistas who have successfully worn a little white dress (LWD) in the past months, starting with my favourite, Hadiza Okoya, in her well-structured look for her 25th birthday.
Imani Swank also wore a nice piece. She did it pretty much with less accessories too.

Why Naomi Campbell refused to eat for 10 days
NAOMI CAMPBELL spoke to Net-a-Porter’s The Edit about her stunning appearance in the Versace Atelier FW13 couture show. Campbell was returning to the brand after 14 years, and she said the occasion filled her with many emotions, including insecurity, joy at reuniting with Donatella Versace and the overwhelming power of wearing amazing clothes. But instead of eating, she soothed her nerves with a liquid diet: “For 10 days, prior to the Versace show, I just drank juice-carrot, ginger and pineapple-to cleanse,” she said.

Tips on how to look great during pregnancy
Do not limit yourself checking out clothes at the maternity section only. Be creative and think outside the box. You can mix and match clothes that are loose and stretchable even if it’s not at the maternity clothing section.
Dresses- Your old dresses can work as your maternity blouse. Pair it with soft, cotton, stretchable leggings. They will give you a great look.
Don’t be afraid to accessorize, although you should be more cautious in this area.
Colour- Be bold in choosing happy colours on your clothing. Colours have psychological effect on our mood. Choosing bright colours will help you uplift your mood.
Use make-up-It’s not that you have to stop using make-up, but be more cautious with what you put on to your skin that may affect the baby too. Use organic products or home-made organic ones. Putting on make-up enhances your beauty and not ruining it, so a touch of lip gloss, pinkish cheeks and clear skin is all you need to have a refreshing look.
Also, healthy diet helps a lot to improve how you look. Healthy food will give you healthy-looking skin and put you in a better mood.

Don’t limit fashion when you are PREGNANT
ARE you pregnant for the first time or you are expecting another baby? You don’t have to be worried about looking trendy. With a little care and expertise, you can even look as gorgeous as you have always looked without pregnancy. Fashionista expectant mothers have changed the face of maternity wear. You don’t have to give up your style because of changes in certain part of your body.
The good news is that you can actually be pregnant, even heavily pregnant and still wear normal dresses and look trendy. Gone are the days of pregnant women dressing in drab, flowing boubou that were often colourless. The drab-looking mandatory maternity wear of yesteryears has given way to sexy trousers, skirt suits, stylish gowns and casuals like jeans trousers and simple tops. Also, maternity wear has been revolutionized from the former oversized, dull, boring, long flowing and drippy wear to trendy, stylish and stretchy gowns, tops (camisoles, tank tops and so on) of any design and trousers like Capri’s jeans.
Expectant mothers now go out in ranges of simple, but gorgeous wear. They use them at the office and at home, and some of them can still be used even after pregnancy.
Unlike before you, an expectant mother does not have to change your wear during pregnancy. For ease and comfort, go for skirts and trouser suits. As a rule, go for trousers that have elastic bands in place of zips or buttons.
