Executive Chairman of Premier AI Agency, Kingsley Uchenna Eneh, has assured Nigerians that the advent of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is not meant to displace workers but to improve workplace efficiency across sectors, organisations, and industries.
Speaking at the “Hello AI: Revolutionizing Customer Service Delivery” conference in Abuja, Eneh addressed growing fears of job losses due to AI adoption, urging Nigerians to gain a proper understanding of the technology.
“AI is not as threatening as many people think,” he said. “It’s here to stay, and rather than take away jobs, it will help create a more structured and efficient work environment. Nigerians must learn what AI is, understand its role, and be prepared for the future it brings.”
Eneh said, “This conference is not just about technology, it is about possibilities and how artificial intelligence, particularly AI, can shape customer service by automating operations and affecting efficiency across industries and organisations.
“The effect of this ranges from education to estate, healthcare to governance and banking to hospitality. We are in this conference to learn and encourage Nigerians to embrace this technology that is taking over the world already. As much as AI is practical and efficient, people still have specific duties they do that AI cannot be involved.
The Director General of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Kashifu Inua Abdullahi, who was represented by the Director IT Infrastructure Solution, Ladego Oladejo said the Artificial Intelligence was developed under the ministry of Communication noting that the country needs it as the world is shifting rapidly towards automated systems.
The DG added that AI engages citizens and drives inclusive economic growth. It builds foundation and digital infrastructure, it develops the AI ecosystem, and it accelerates sector transformation while ensuring inclusive capacity building.
He highlighted that Africa cannot be left behind but rather take its place at the forefront of the revolution.
A UK-based company that allows users to buy, sell, and trade cryptocurrencies, Blockchain.com, plans to open a physical office in Nigeria in Q2 2025 and expand into Ghana, Kenya, and South Africa.
The move, first reported by Bloomberg, marks a significant push into African markets amid growing regulatory clarity across the continent.
The Nigeria expansion would make Blockchain.com the first foreign crypto firm to establish a physical presence in the country, a move that could reshape the competitive landscape for local players. “Nigeria has taken meaningful steps toward creating a clear framework for crypto. Applying for a crypto exchange licence in Nigeria is a top priority,” General Manager for Blockchain.com’s Africa Operations, Owenize Odia, told Bloomberg.
The company’s African expansion comes as global crypto giants such as Coinbase make deeper inroads into Africa.
Opera, a Norway-based company, launched an iOS version of MiniPay, its stablecoin wallet app, in May 2025 to acquire more African users. As foreign players deepen their engagement on the continent, their presence could pressurise African regulators to accelerate the development of clear and consistent frameworks for digital assets.
Africa’s crypto market is expected to generate over $2.9 billion in revenue in 2025. While Blockchain.com does not disclose its user numbers in Africa, it described Nigeria as one of its fastest-growing markets. Globally, the platform has over 37 million verified users.
If Blockchain.com applies for a cryptocurrency licence in Nigeria, it would be the first foreign crypto firm to do so since the country’s Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) made such licencing mandatory for foreign companies. Nigeria’s recently enacted Investments and Securities Act (March 2025) granted the SEC authority to regulate digital assets, formally recognising them as securities. It is a long-awaited move that could attract further investment and innovation in the sector.
Elsewhere on the continent, Ghana and Kenya are also drafting frameworks to regulate cryptocurrencies, while South Africa has already implemented rules requiring crypto platforms to be licenced to operate. These developments, combined with the entry of firms like Blockchain.com, reflect a growing recognition among African governments that regulation is crucial to the crypto sector’s development on the continent, and this will pay off.
For Blockchain.com, establishing a physical presence and investing locally will be the clearest display of its commitment to Africa.
MTN Group has been inducted into the inaugural Brand Africa Hall of Fame “in recognition of its transformational impact on African consumers and its role in shaping a positive African narrative”. MTN was also recognised as the #1 Most Admired African Brand Contributing to a Better Africa; the #1 Most Admired African Brand (spontaneous recall); the #1 Most Admired Brand Doing Good for Society and the Environment; and #1 Most Admired Telecommunications Brand.
The Hall of Fame honour, introduced this year by Brand Africa, acknowledges brands that have demonstrated sustained excellence and influence on the continent over the past decade. MTN’s induction reflects its ongoing commitment to enabling digital access, expanding financial inclusion, and contributing meaningfully to Africa’s development.
The announcement was made alongside the release of the 2025 edition of the Brand Africa 100 rankings – an annual, independently conducted survey spanning more than 30 African countries and representing more than 85% of the continent’s population and GDP.
“It is an honour to be inducted into the Brand Africa Hall of Fame and to be named the most admired African brand contributing to a better Africa, the most admired African brand by spontaneous recall, as well as the brand most admired for doing good for society and the environment,” MTN Group President and CEO, Ralph Mupita, said.
“That this recognition comes during Africa Month gives it added significance. It reflects the progress we continue to make as a continent and the role trusted brands must play in advancing inclusive, digitally enabled growth. We are grateful for the confidence placed in MTN by the people we serve and remain committed to delivering meaningful impact.”
Mupita also acknowledged the collective effort behind the brand’s success, thanking MTNers, partners, and other stakeholders across the continent for their role in making this recognition possible.
MTN operates mobile networks in 16 countries. Since 2021, the company has been guided by its Ambition 2025 strategic intent of Leading digital solutions for Africa’s progress. This underscores MTN’s commitment to driving digital and financial inclusion and fostering innovation across the continent.
Further validating its brand leadership, MTN was recently ranked once again as South Africa’s most valuable brand. The accolade was made in the 2025 Brand Finance Top 100 Report, which accorded MTN a brand valuation of R50.7 billion. MTN has held this position every year since the survey’s inception in 2012.
Stakeholders in the information communication technology (ITU) sector have called for more action to encourage the participation of girls in the sector to bridge the gender imbalance in the sector.
The stakeholders’ who spoke during this year’s Girls in ICT Day celebration in Lagos, said young girls should be encouraged to seek roles in ICT as a means of guarding their future and contributing to the growth of all sectors in the economy.
Secretary-General, International Telecommunications Union (ITU), Doreen Bogdan-Martin noted that ITU is committed to empowering 100 million girls with digital stills and called on partnerships to achieve this.
She stated: “We celebrate the power and potentials of girls and young women as leaders, creators and change-makers in the digital age. 189 fewer women than men are using the internet in 2024. That is too many missed opportunities to learn.”
She encouraged governments and corporate organisations to support the campaign to build a crop of girls of the future.
Also speaking at the event, Vertical Head, High Net-worth Individuals, Globacom, Adeboye Adeniji, noted that Globacom believes in the power of Nigeria’s talents, especially the amazing potentials in young, vibrant, brilliant and beautiful girls.
“We live in a world powered by technology, from the phones we use, to the Apps we love, to the networks that connect us, for example, Globacom. ICT is everywhere. You belong in that world, you are the future, not just as users, but as leaders, creators and innovators,” she encouraged the girls.
She further noted that when girls have the tools, the training and the confidence, there is no limit to what they can achieve. “Whether you dream of becoming a Software Engineer, a Robotic Expert, a cyber-security Analyst, or even the next big tech CEO, everything is possible. Don’t let anyone tell you tech is only for boys. That is simply not true. You are smart and smart enough to work in tech, to build your own tech company. You are strong enough, and you have every right to dream as big as you want. So, keep learning, stay curious, ask questions, and never be afraid to try. Because the future of technology isn’t just built in Labs and Boardrooms, it is being built here in classrooms like yours. From all of us in Globacom, we believe in you, we support you, and we can’t wait to see how you change the world.”
In her presentation, Head, Cybersecurity & Compliance Advisory, Digital Encode, Bisola Oladejo, encouraged the girls to stay on top of any career path they may choose, and to research the available options in the field of ICT, as there are so many career paths in ICT.
Speaking on why girls matter in ICT, she said they bring uniqueness and colour, making Apps interesting.
She also noted that ICT is important to girls because it affords and empowers them with skills, opportunities and confidence to thrive in a digital world, breaking gender barriers and unlocking social and economic potentials.
Oladejo however noted the root causes of low female participation in ICT to include, limited STEM education in schools; social media distraction; low funding, lack of adequate access to internet and ICT gadgets; gender bias from families; cyber-bullying, among others.
She called on governments to formulate deliberate initiatives that target female inclusivity in ICT, and to partner with NGOs and ease private sector initiatives.
In her opening remarks, Convener and CEO of eBusiness Life Communication Limited, organisers of the campaign, which had girls from 10 different schools in and around Lagos and corporates from the ICT industry in attendance, Mrs. Ufuoma Emuophedaro noted that calls and letters from participating students from past editions of the event are testaments to the impact the campaign is having on Nigerian girls.
“From this very platform, we have been able to raise a lot of girls. Some of them are already working. I have received a good number of mails from them thanking me for how that helped them change their perceptions, and they are now studying ICT-related causes. The numbers are getting better and it will continue to get better. We will continue to do this campaign to see it getting better. We cannot gather all the girls in Nigeria in one room, but there is a need to spread the news, even as we are streaming this activity live on YouTube and Instagram,” Mrs. Daro said.
Reeling out the figures, she quoted an ITU statistics that showed the progress made, disclosing that since its inception in 2011, there has been 377,000 girls and young women taking up careers in ICT and 11,400 celebrations in over 171 countries. It is not just in Nigeria, but all over the world.
While encouraging the girls to change the stereotype that bequeaths ICT careers to boys, she noted the abysmal statistics that need to change. “While women make up about 47per cent of the global workforce, they are underrepresented in STEM. Just three per cent of students joining ICT courses globally are women.”
This year, the theme: ‘Girls in ICTs: Bridging ALL Divides for an Inclusive Digital Transformation’, underscored the need not just to participate, but to lead the world in digital transformation.
Mrs. Emuophedaro called on corporate bodies, governments and other stakeholders to create a conducive environment and an inclusive tech space for girls everywhere.
She also charged the girls to believe in themselves and take up the challenge.
“Do girls use technology? Yes! But that is not all we want. Apart from using, we want them to create technology. Also no matter what sector you are in, you need to have some in-depth knowledge of technology,“ she said.
The event saw the girls compete in STEM Quiz competition, Robot programming competition and Students’ Roundtable, winning prices and receiving gifts from the organisers.
Also, Awards were also given to two deserving women in ICT – Funmilola Victoria Omojola (ICT Touch Holder Award) and Dr. Nihinlola Mary Fafore (ICT Advocacy Award).

In the past few years, online casinos have been transformed by evolving technological trends. As this industry continues to develop, a few games have found especially enormous favor: namely Australian blackjack and online slots. Their exciting mechanics, immersive experiences, and new directions for innovation make gambling as we now know it more fun than ever before.
The Rise of Australian Blackjack Online
Australian Blackjack, a version of the classic blackjack game, has made its way into online casinos all over the world. This variety is characterized by its special rules and fast gameplay, making it ideally suited to both long-time players and newcomers alike.
One of the developments that has driven this rise in popularity is the increased availability of the game, thanks to online casinos. These platforms allow players to enjoy the game without having to dress up or leave their homes.
In addition to that, the game’s simple rules and the possibility of placing side bets, combined with multi-deck play, have attracted a growing number of devotees to Australian blackjack. It plays quickly and is easy to learn, making it the perfect game to jump into during brief moments of boredom, and that has served it very well in a world where our gaming time might consist of a few minutes while sitting on a bus or waiting on hold. Modern audiences appreciate games that are easy to get started with and that has madeAustralian blackjack online one of the top choices for many players. Whether you’re a seasoned player or just finding your feet in this world, this is a game that has plenty to offer to almost anyone.
And if you find yourself feeling a bit unenthused about the idea of going up against the computer, don’t worry! You can play live dealer blackjack against a professional dealer at a lot of digital casinos, allowing you to enjoy the same feeling of connection and the same social elements as you’d get at a brick-and-mortar locale… but without having to dress up. A lot of people prefer this approach and love tuning into this version of the game.
And if that doesn’t quite do it for you either, there are tons of variations of classic blackjack that you might decide to try. Take a look at 21 Burn Blackjack, American Blackjack, Perfect Pairs, Dragon Blackjack, Pirate 21, or even Zappit Blackjack – all great options that will let you explore every dimension of this classic game.
Innovations in Online Slot Games
In addition to blackjack, online slots have risen in popularity. Recent innovations have led to unprecedented growth in this area, and modern slot games are now far more creative and in-depth than their previous iterations. Expect to see multifaceted themes, elaborate storylines, and cutting-edge graphics. Bonus features such as free spins, multipliers, and other exciting extras also add to their appeal, making them a far cry from the old physical machines in which all you could do was spin the reels and wait. Today’s developers know how much interactive design matters.
Just check out this Instagram post of this player scoring a big win and you’ll see what we mean. The game looks nothing like the distant three-reel, fixed payline machines that once dominated this industry. You’ll see the added mechanics granting the player extra ways to win, the multipliers stacking up with each new spin, and the flashy animations as the winning symbols get highlighted. The player’s reaction as the prize climbs higher is also pretty fun to watch.
At its heart, this is what sets online slots apart from other gambling games. They are unpredictable, and you never know what’s coming next or when a surprise big win could be just about to land. Seeing the excitement of other players when they get a large prize is infectious and makes other people want to try their luck and see if they could get the same result.
Another thing you might have noticed in that video was the symbols. No cherries and bells here. Modern slot machines (with the exception of those that are aiming for nostalgia value) tend to go for more exciting themes for their symbols. Treasure, as in the video above, is a popular choice, but you’ll also see slots with historical scenes, fantasy worlds, or futuristic sci-fi settings. Game developers are constantly pushing the boundaries of their art, and these slot games are out to strike a chord with everyone.
Beyond Blackjack and Slots
Online casino games continue to innovate, especially with such games as Australian Blackjack and various slot machine games. Thanks to thenew advances in technology, gamblers can now experience their games in a more immersive, dynamic fashion than ever.
Game developers and casino operators have put tremendous amounts of time and effort into staying on top of evolving technological trends and ensuring that the games they provide are the best they can possibly be. Whether you are looking for the challenging play experience of Australian Blackjack or simply enjoy playing the latest new slots as they come out, it’s an environment that never sleeps.

The federal government said on Thursday that its current huge investments in digital infrastructures are meant to drive growth and investments in the economies of West African countries.
He listed expansion of broadband infrastructure projects, the championing of sub-sea cable resilience projects, promotion of data safety and privacy and acceleration of digital literacy as commitments that would transform the region.
The Minister made the remarks at the Digital Economy Complex, Mbora, Abuja, during the opening ceremony of the 17th edition of the 5-day West Africa Internet Governance Forum (WAIGF).
The forum had the theme “Building a Resilient, Inclusive and Safe Digital Future for West Africa” with ICT experts, institutions of government, academics and members of the Organized Private Sector from across West Africa countries in attendance.
Dr Tijani said the country had different initiatives targeted at developing the digital ecosystem in the country and the region.
“As the host country, Nigeria is deeply committed to supporting a robust and equitable digital landscape across West Africa.
“We have initiatives like our Broadband Infrastructure projects, we are championing Sub-sea cable resilience, promoting data protection and privacy, and accelerating digital literacy across the nation.
“We are also developing our National Artificial Intelligence Strategy and our Digital Public Infrastructure efforts.
“We are working to deepen, democratise access to the internet, protect users’ rights and enable innovation that uplifts our economies and empowers our people,” the Minister said.
He explained that achieving internet governance in West Africa cannot be achieved by individual countries, and reminded the participants that such goals would require collaborations.
Dr Tijani enjoined stakeholders to deepen their efforts in strengthening the foundations of the region’s digital ecosystem.
“Internet governance is more than a policy conversation, it is about shaping the values and architecture of our digital societies.
“As we reflect on global processes like the World Summit on the Information Society, Global Digital Compact and regional policy harmonisation efforts, we must put our West African perspectives at the centre,” he said.
On his part, the Director-General of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Malam Kashifu Inuwa, said cross-border data transfers across regions had made it very important for countries to work together.
He said that the West African region had the capacity to develop and build on issues around cyber security, internet penetration and governance, as well as harness the benefits of the digital economy.
He urged the participants to present better strategies that could help the region progress digitally.
Also Mrs Mary Uduma, WAIGF Coordinator, said the regional forum would deliberate on issues affecting digital transactions, and other issues which could form discussions at the global level.
“Today, if you want to pay for any purchase you made within Africa, it might be difficult to use our credit card to pay, even if it is a dollar credit card.
“We want integration, inclusivity, a safe internet, we want an affordable, reasonable and available internet for all.
“We want our children to be safe online, because safety is everybody’s call and we want people to be responsible in the use of the internet, which is the way to develop a resilient future for the West Africa Internet Governance Forum,” she said.
Over the past few months, I’ve been immersed in a journey across Australia, uncovering the quirks, charms, and surprises of life Down Under. Along the way, I spoke with locals who, interestingly enough, didn’t just recommend beaches or hidden cafes. They pointed me toward online casinos they swear by.
Curious, and with a free afternoon in Melbourne paired with some rainy weather, I decided to put their suggestions to the test. I set aside $1000 and dove into Australia’s iGaming world to see what all the fuss was about.
Before diving into the nitty-gritty of what I found, here’s a snapshot of the results or feel free to scroll straight to the reviews if you’re here for the good stuff.
Australia delivered the full tourist experience: sun-drenched coastlines, spontaneous nights out, and more run-ins with kangaroos than I thought possible. And yes, the jellyfish are no joke.
Yet the biggest surprise wasn’t wildlife or weather. It was the deeply embedded gambling culture. While global gambling capitals like Vegas or Monaco might dominate the imagination, I found that cities like Sydney and Adelaide are just as invested. Particularly in pokies, which seem to have an almost cultural status here.
Despite the popularity of physical pokie machines at pubs and clubs, the digital scene has surged. Many locals now prefer logging in rather than heading out, citing better bonuses and bigger libraries of games online.
Following their advice, I took notes on every platform I tested: which games I tried, which welcome bonuses I redeemed, and whether I walked away richer or lighter in the wallet. You’ll find that full breakdown below.
First up? The Clubhouse Casino. Let’s see how it stacked up.
Top Pick: The Clubhouse Casino (Australia)
Games tested:Big Bass Amazon Xtreme, The Clubhouse Trueways , Wolf Classic, 99 Time, Lucky Tiger Plinko
License: Curaçao Gaming Control Board (License No. OGL/2023/174/0082)
The Clubhouse Casino came highly recommended by my friend Jason, who swore by the live tournaments and surprise Cash Drops. “You’ll barely need to play to win,” he promised. Naturally, I had to see for myself.
Right from the login screen, it was clear this wasn’t just another flashy online casino. The Clubhouse leans hard into exclusivity – like a velvet-rope version of iGaming. With over 10,000 games, clean design, and upscale promos (we’re talking lotteries for iPhones and MacBooks), the entire platform feels tailored to players who prefer a polished, reward-heavy experience.
Creating my account took less than a minute. I deposited $100 in Bitcoin – processed near-instantly thanks to their crypto-friendly infrastructure – and received a 100% bonus match, doubling my bankroll to $200. It’s part of their AU$5,000 welcome package paired with 200 free spins, one of the most competitive offers I’ve seen on the AU market.
I opened with Big Bass Amazon Xtreme, then tried a few rounds of The Clubhouse Trueways (yes, they’ve got a branded title), followed by Wolf Classic. Later I bounced between 99 Time, a retro-style favorite, and Lucky Tiger Plinko, which turned out to be an oddly satisfying way to close the night.
At the end of my 2.5-hour session, I was up $125 – a win, but more importantly, I left genuinely impressed. Beyond the massive game variety and generous bonuses, the experience was seamless: rapid withdrawals, clean navigation, and none of the usual crypto-casino clunk.
Licensed under Curaçao Gaming Control Board regulations and operated by the respected Dama N.V., The Clubhouse is available in 40+ countries including Australia, New Zealand, and Canada. It supports fiat, crypto, and e-wallets, with fast KYC and strong security protocols baked in.
This is a platform that takes both compliance and luxury seriously. Between its high payout ceiling, daily promotions, elite loyalty perks, and crypto flexibility, The Clubhouse isn’t just another casino – it’s a destination.
What I liked:
With over 2500 online casino games to choose from, it was a bit overwhelming at first, but I quickly understood the appeal that this variety gives.
I really liked their original online casino games menu more than anything, in particular the crash game Aviator which kept me on the edge of my seat. This Aussie online casino felt legit and secure, which helped me focus on enjoying the real money casino games instead of worrying about payouts or shady practices.
What really stood out at The Clubhouse Casino and makes it the best online casino in Australia, though, is the bonuses. Their weekly cashback deal is a game-changer. Depending on your VIP level, you can get up to 25% cashback on your losses every week.
It’s simple: play your favorite games, and if luck doesn’t go your way, you’ll get a nice percentage of your money back. This kind of promo softens the blow of an unlucky streak and keeps you in the game longer.
Add that to the welcome package – up to AU$5,000 across your first three deposits plus 200 free spins – and it’s clear that The Clubhouse Casino knows how to reward its players.
With promotions like these, you feel like one of the best online casinos in Australia genuinely wants you to keep coming back, and honestly, with deals like that, who wouldn’t?
What I didn’t like:
While The Clubhouse Casino excels in most areas, there’s one aspect that fiat players should be aware of: the initial withdrawal processing time.
Unlike crypto transactions, which are typically processed within minutes, fiat payouts may take up to 24 hours to clear – particularly for your first withdrawal. While this may feel slow compared to instant-cashout platforms, it’s actually a sign of a compliance-focused operator. Once your account is verified and your first withdrawal is approved, subsequent payouts are often processed much faster.
For casual players making smaller withdrawals, the delay can be mildly frustrating. But if you’re looking for speed, there’s a clear solution: crypto. Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and USDT are all supported, and transactions via these methods are near-instant and come with lower minimum withdrawal limits.
And if you’re new to crypto? No problem. The Clubhouse makes onboarding painless – you can purchase digital currencies directly on-site, making it easy for fiat-only users to switch without hassle.
So while the first fiat withdrawal might test your patience slightly, the long-term payout experience – especially with crypto – is smooth, fast, and secure.

Before I even visited CrocoSlots, I got a heads-up from a local named Charlotte: “There are so many pokies, it’s overwhelming at first.” She wasn’t wrong.
CrocoSlots throws you into the deep end – the lobby is massive, flashy, and filled with more categories than I knew what to do with. There’s everything from traditional slots to something called “bonus buys” (still not 100% sure), but thankfully, a “TOP” label on trending games helped me get my bearings.
I signed up, dropped $100 in Bitcoin – mostly because it skips the usual red tape – and within minutes, I was ready to go. The entire process was surprisingly smooth, with no hiccups or unnecessary friction. Right out of the gate, I had double the funds thanks to their welcome bonus: up to AU$3,000 across four deposits plus 225 free spins. I hadn’t played a single hand, and I was already in profit.
My first stop was Wild Wild Bananas, a vibrant pokie with loud colors and bigger multipliers. Then I hopped into Fire Hopper, which felt like a cartoon fever dream. To balance things out, I gave Gates of Olympus a proper go and finished with a few rounds of Lightning Roulette for a change of pace.
Despite a $75 loss by the end of the night, I didn’t walk away feeling burned. CrocoSlots Casino felt secure, modern, and legit – licensed by the Curaçao Gaming Control Board and operated by Hollycorn N.V., a name I’ve seen attached to several reputable crypto casinos.
Their live chat support was responsive, the site ran smoothly on mobile, and the crypto-first design made the whole experience feel sleek. Sure, there are fewer withdrawal methods compared to deposit options, but that’s a minor gripe – especially with Bitcoin payouts processed in under 12 hours once you’re verified.
If you’re the kind of player who thrives in game-rich environments with constant promos, CrocoSlots delivers. It’s not as curated or luxe as The Clubhouse, but it makes up for it with sheer scale and player-friendly terms – and that’s worth something.
What I liked:
While the sheer number of games at CrocoSlots Casino felt overwhelming at first, I quickly began to appreciate the range. It mimics the energy of a real casino – if one game doesn’t hit, there’s always something new a click away. Whether you’re after classic pokies, experimental crash games, or full-featured live tables, the variety is genuinely impressive.
Some of these games go way beyond casual stakes, too. I came across a jackpot pokie offering over $5 million – the kind of top prize that edges into lottery territory, but with better odds and way more interactivity.
Still, the slots are clearly the heart of the action here. I spent most of my session on Wild Wild Bananas, and I can’t lie – the experience was pure fun. Fast spins, bonus rounds, random multipliers… it checked all the boxes. CrocoSlots knows what players want in a modern pokie, and they deliver.
The welcome bonus was also a nice surprise. While it’s not as seamless as “free money in your account,” getting up to AU$3,000 in bonus funds and 225 free spins over your first four deposits gives you a real edge when starting out. And unlike some promotions, it didn’t feel like a trap – the terms were transparent, and my bonus was credited immediately after deposit.
In short, CrocoSlots delivers on its promise of non-stop entertainment. Between the massive game catalog, jackpot potential, and crypto-friendly payouts, it’s easy to see why it’s become a favorite among Aussie players.
What I didn’t like:
Don’t get me wrong – the slots were a blast. I spent most of my time with Wild Wild Bananas, and it absolutely delivered on fun and energy. Fast-paced spins, bold visuals, and plenty of bonus potential kept me engaged for far longer than I expected. You can tell CrocoSlots has put real effort into curating a huge and diverse slot collection.
But once I shifted over to the table games, the experience flattened a bit. I gave Lightning Roulette a try – it looked great on screen, but the gameplay felt thin. It lacked the immersive presence you’d expect from a premium live casino, and it came off more like a placeholder than a showpiece. It’ll do in a pinch, but it didn’t exactly transport me to Monte Carlo.
Navigation also left a little to be desired. With over 7,000 titles in the lobby, you’d expect some slick filtering or intelligent sorting – instead, you’re stuck clicking “SHOW MORE” every 50 games. After a few clicks, I gave up. Realistically, most players are never going to see the bottom half of that catalogue.
Still, for slot lovers, CrocoSlots has serious depth and winning potential. I even stumbled across a progressive jackpot pokie with a top prize over $5 million – numbers that would make a lottery blush.
And with that up to AU$3,000 bonus + 225 free spins waiting for new players, the value proposition here is strong. The pokies carry the experience, and they carry it well – just don’t come in expecting a high-stakes table room vibe.RetryClaude can make mistakes. Please double-check responses.
Games tested: Sweet Bonanza 1000, King’z Bonanza, San Quentin, Gates of Olympus 1000, Wanted Dead or a Wild, Book of 99
Time spent playing: 2.25 hours
Bonus claimed: AU$2,000 + 200 free spins
Result: Won $89

Bitkingz doesn’t take itself too seriously – and at first, that threw me off. The site leans into a neon 8-bit retro aesthetic that feels more arcade than online casino. But behind the pixelated presentation is a well-oiled real money casino with a sharp focus on fast gameplay, big jackpots, and crypto-powered efficiency.
Signing up took less than a minute, and I funded my account with Bitcoin. Bitkingz supports a full suite of crypto and fiat options, but it’s clear the platform is optimized for instant crypto deposits and rapid withdrawals. My welcome bonus – up to AU$2,000 + 200 free spins – was credited immediately, no hoops.
I started my session with Sweet Bonanza 1000, a max-volatility candy bomb of a slot, and then moved to their branded King’z Bonanza. From there, I hit San Quentin and Wanted Dead or a Wild – both high-risk, high-reward titles with intense pacing. To round things out, I gave Gates of Olympus 1000 a solid run and cooled off with Book of 99, one of the few games offering a rare 99% RTP.
That last one helped stretch my bankroll and gave me the breathing room to land a $210 win – mostly from a big hit on Wanted.
But it wasn’t just the gameplay that impressed me – Bitkingz quietly nails the fundamentals. The mobile site runs flawlessly, the live support is 24/7, and the loyalty system actually rewards regular play, with cashback and reload bonuses available daily depending on your level.
They’ve also got a huge jackpot slot selection, with over 100 titles, many of which rotate in fresh providers like BGaming, Belatra, and Playson. It’s not the biggest lobby I’ve seen, but it’s curated with care – less filler, more heavy-hitters.
Most notably, Bitkingz is licensed under Curaçao’s Gaming Control Board, and is part of the Dama N.V. group, the same trusted network behind brands like The Clubhouse and Fight Club. It’s fast, fair, and proven.
It might not be the flashiest or most luxurious online casino in Australia, but Bitkingz punches above its weight, especially if you’re a crypto user looking for value-packed promos, high-RTP games, and near-instant cashouts.
What I Liked
What stood out most at Bitkingz was the jackpot slot lineup. With over 100 titles – including 20+ new releases – the selection feels curated rather than bloated. You’ll find everything from traditional video slots to high-volatility Megaways games, all powered by top-tier providers like BGaming, Playson, and Belatra.
It’s not just quantity, either – these titles pack punch, with plenty of opportunities for six-figure wins and some of the best bonus mechanics I’ve seen in the jackpot category.
Another major plus? The cashback promos. Using a code like CASH20 gets you 20% instant cashback up to $200, no waiting for weekly summaries or tier upgrades. It’s fast, generous, and does a solid job of softening the blow after a cold streak – a rare offer that actually benefits casual players.
What I Didn’t Like
If there’s one area where Bitkingz falls short, it’s in the desktop design. The retro cartoon aesthetic is clearly intentional, but it felt out of place. The oversized graphics and arcade-style interface made the lobby feel more gimmicky than premium – especially when compared to sleeker casinos like The Clubhouse.
While the games themselves are high quality once launched, navigating the site involves a lot of scrolling unless you’re actively using the search bar. On mobile, the experience is tighter, but the desktop layout could definitely use a visual refresh.
The instant games section also felt flat. I tested Plinko and Dice, and while they functioned flawlessly, they lacked the engaging design or surprise mechanics that define memorable crash or win-instant formats. Nothing wrong with them technically – just uninspired. To be fair, that might say more about how I view instant games in general than any fault of Bitkingz specifically.
Fourth Real Money Casino on My List: Lucky Ones Casino (Australia)
Games tested: Money Train 3, Sweet Bonanza, Multihand Blackjack Pro, Dead or a Wild Hours spent testing: 2 Bonus claimed: AU$3,500 + 150 free spins How I did: Down $40 License: Curaçao Gaming Control Board
This one came recommended by a woman named Veronica, who I met during happy hour at a hotel bar in Sydney, the kind of place where cocktails cost more than I’d usually spend on dinner. Between laughs and (way too many) Old Fashioneds, she told me her strategy for staying entertained on a budget: “Just toss $20 into Lucky Ones, join a few slot tournaments, and it keeps me going all night.”
I figured if that approach works for her, it was worth a closer look.
Right out of the gate, Lucky Ones impressed me with its slick, modern interface. Unlike some other AU casino sites that feel dated or cluttered, this one’s smooth, fast loading, intuitive, and clean. It’s a subtle upgrade you don’t realize you’ve been missing until you land on a site that finally gets it right.
What I Liked
The slot tournament section is where this casino shines. Veronica wasn’t kidding, between Drops & Wins promos with seven figure prize pools and seasonal events with prize ladders up to €15,000, the action is nonstop. You don’t need a huge bankroll to compete either, which is a rare sweet spot for players on a budget.
The game variety is another big win. Lucky Ones pulls from over 100 providers, which meant I was bouncing between industry staples like Pragmatic Play and NetEnt, then discovering hidden gems from Thunderkick and Push Gaming. It made everything feel a bit more fresh, like there was always something new to try.
While I normally avoid Bonus Buy slots (mostly for bankroll reasons), the dedicated Bonus Buy section here was tempting enough to lure me in. Skip the base game, go straight to the chaos, sometimes, you just want to press the red button and see what happens.
What I Didn’t Like
If you’re into classic table games, the standard selection might feel a bit undercooked. About 40 RNG based options, nothing out of the ordinary. No Free Bet Blackjack, no exotic roulette variants, just the basics.
That said, the live casino lineup is stacked. I lost count of how many blackjack tables I scrolled past, it’s that deep. The gameshow style live options (Snakes and Ladders Live, Funky Time, etc.) were a welcome touch too.
Also worth flagging: the $30 minimum deposit for most payment methods isn’t ideal if you’re just dipping your toes in. Though if you’re using crypto or Flexepin, you can get in for as low as $20.
All things considered, Lucky Ones Casino feels like a premium, high volume platform designed for players who want options. The 14,000+ games, huge tournament infrastructure, and generous welcome bonus (up to AU$20,000 + 500 free spins) put it comfortably among the most ambitious new Australian facing casinos I’ve tested.
I may have walked away down $40, but between the smooth UI and constant promotions, it’s definitely a site I’ll be coming back to, especially when I’ve got a $20 note and nothing better to do.
Games tested: Slots (Gates of Olympus, Book of Dead), Live Casino (Lightning Roulette), Bonus Buy games Time spent playing: 2.5 hours Bonus claimed: AU$2,000 + 400 free spins Result: Up $65 License: Curaçao Gaming Control Board
While waiting out a sudden downpour in Brisbane, I decided to check out Fat Fruit Casino after hearing about their massive free spins offer. The name might be quirky, but this Australian online casino means business when it comes to bonuses.
Signing up was straightforward, and I deposited $100 using my credit card. The welcome package – up to AU$2,000 across multiple deposits plus a whopping 400 free spins – immediately caught my attention. Within minutes, my bonus funds were credited, and I was ready to play.
I started with Gates of Olympus, continuing with Book of Dead, before trying my luck at some Lightning Roulette in their live casino section. The game variety was impressive, with over 6,000 titles from 75 software providers including industry leaders like BGaming, Pragmatic Play, Play’n GO, Blueprint, and Playtech.
By the end of my 2.5 hours, I was pleasantly surprised to find myself up $65, primarily from a lucky streak on Book of Dead that offset some early losses.
What I liked:
Fat Fruit Casino absolutely shines when it comes to their free spins offer. With 400 free spins as part of the welcome package, it’s among the most generous I’ve seen in Australia. The spins are distributed across your first few deposits, giving you plenty of opportunities to explore their vast game library without burning through your own funds.
The game variety at Fat Fruit is impressive with over 6,000 online slots, live casino, virtual table, and other casino game titles to choose from, ensuring there’s something for every type of player. Their slots selection particularly stands out, with a packed-out portfolio giving members access to Cluster Pays, ways to win, pay line, Megaways, and a range of other online slot mechanics.
I was also impressed with their jackpot section. Progressive jackpot games clearly mark how much the jackpot is worth, with providers like BetSoft, Gamzix, Nucleus, Play’n GO, and Playtech (Age of the Gods) supplying the big-money games.
What I didn’t like:
While Fat Fruit excels in many areas, their withdrawal processing time left something to be desired. Withdrawals should take only an hour and 24 hours at the most to process, but in practice, it can sometimes feel like an eternity in the age of instant crypto transactions.
There is also a 3x deposit wagering requirement to withdraw for free, which is higher than many competing casinos that only require 1x turnover.
The website design also feels slightly cluttered compared to sleeker options. Unfortunately, their filtering system is limited to categories like Slots, Bonus Buy, Drops & Wins, Megaways, and Jackpots, with no options to sort games by bonus features, reel mechanics like Cluster Pays or Pay Anywhere, and no options to sort games by theme.
These minor issues aside, Fat Fruit delivers where it counts most: game selection, bonus value, and overall reliability.
Games tested: Aztec Magic, Book of Dead, European Roulette Pro, Wild Spin Time spent playing: 2 hours Bonus claimed: AU$2,500 + 250 free spins Result: Down $120 License: Curaçao Gaming Control Board
My final hands-on casino experience in Australia came at SpinFever, a recommendation from a Melbourne bartender who swore by their weekly reload offers. “Once you’re in their system,” he told me, “the bonuses just keep coming.”
Registration was quick, and I deposited $150 using Bitcoin. My welcome package – up to AU$2,500 plus 250 free spins – was processed immediately, doubling my starting bankroll and setting me up for what I hoped would be a profitable session.
I began with Aztec Magic, which delivered solid entertainment value with its colorful design and frequent small wins. Next came Book of Dead, a classic that lived up to its reputation for high volatility. I cooled off with several rounds of European Roulette Pro before ending my session on Wild Spin, a newer release with interesting mechanics.
Unfortunately, Lady Luck wasn’t on my side this time. Despite some promising early wins on Aztec Magic, a cold streak on Book of Dead left me down $120 by the end of my 2-hour session.
What I liked:
SpinFever truly delivers on its promise of impressive weekly offers. Beyond the generous welcome package, they offer reload bonuses every Monday (“Motown Monday Mood Booster”) with up to 170 free spins on Gates of Olympus, plus a “Friday Fever” free spins deal that rewards regular players with 20 free spins on Take the Bank. These ongoing promotions create genuine value that extends well beyond your first deposit.
The VIP program impressed me as well, with transparent level requirements and meaningful rewards. As players climb the VIP ladder, they receive Mystery Prizes at each tier, ranging from free spins to bonus money. The cashback system is particularly generous, offering up to 15% back for top-tier members, capped at a substantial €5,000.
The game selection is another highlight, with over 100 software providers including big names like Pragmatic Play, Elk Studios, NetEnt, and Evolution Gaming. With thousands of slots, table games, and a comprehensive live casino section, there’s something for every type of player.
What I didn’t like:
SpinFever’s withdrawal processing can be frustratingly slow at times. While the casino aims to process withdrawals within 24 hours, some users report waiting several days before receiving their funds. As one reviewer bluntly put it, “Many other sites will pay you out within seconds or minutes, you’ll be waiting for days with SpinFever.”
I also discovered there’s a 3x deposit wagering requirement before you can withdraw your own funds – a policy that’s not immediately obvious and can catch new players off guard. This requirement is higher than many competing Australian online casinos.
The website’s interface, while visually appealing with its dark tones and neon highlights, can feel cluttered and overwhelming for new players. Better organization of the massive game library would significantly improve navigation and user experience.
These minor drawbacks aside, SpinFever remains a solid choice for players who value ongoing promotions and extensive game variety. Just be prepared for potentially slower withdrawal times compared to other top Australian online casinos.
During my travels across Australia, I frequently asked locals for their favorite online casinos. The remaining four sites on my list – Rooli, Just Casino, Lucky Dreams, and Let’s Lucky – all came highly recommended by Australians I met along the way.
While I didn’t have time to personally test these platforms with real money gameplay, their popularity among locals suggests they’re worth consideration. Each offers competitive welcome bonuses, extensive game libraries, and secure payment processing – key factors that Australian players repeatedly mentioned as priorities when choosing where to play.
From Sydney to Perth and everywhere in between, these four sites were consistently named as trusted options that deliver on their promises of fair gaming, timely payouts, and regular promotions. If my journey through Australia had been longer, they would have been next on my list to explore.
THE DEFINITIVE AUSSIE CASINO SHOWDOWN: MY NO-BS TAKE
Look, I’m not gonna sugarcoat this. After diving headfirst into Australia’s online casino scene with a grand in my pocket and too much coffee in my system, I’ve got some thoughts. Six platforms later, here’s the unfiltered truth about where your money should (or shouldn’t) go when gambling down under.
THE CLUBHOUSE: CROWN JEWEL OF THE BUNCH
Holy hell, this place delivered. While every other casino seemed to be playing catch-up, The Clubhouse came out swinging with a game library that made me lose track of time and occasionally, my surroundings.
Their exclusive slots? Game-changers. Money Train 3 hits different here – the graphics pop, the features actually surprise you, and the whole experience feels premium rather than recycled. Sweet Bonanza had me coming back for more, even after my testing schedule said to move on.
But it’s the crash games that sealed the deal. Heart-pounding, sweat-inducing adrenaline rushes that had me holding my breath every damn time. For those who think online gambling lacks the thrill of physical casinos – try Aviator at 2am and get back to me.
Table games weren’t just an afterthought either. From classic blackjack to their souped-up 21 Burn variant, the options kept coming. Lightning Roulette actually made me yell at my screen (apologies to my hotel neighbors).
Bottom line: If you only try one Aussie online casino, make it this one. Trust me.
CROCOSLOTS: POKIE PARADISE FOR THE DEDICATED SPINNER
Let’s cut to the chase – Crocoslots dominates the pokie game. While every platform claims to have the best selection, these guys actually deliver.
“Wild Wild Bananas” became my digital addiction. I fired it up for what was supposed to be a 15-minute test and emerged 90 minutes later wondering where the time went. The bonus rounds hit frequently enough to keep things interesting, and the overall vibe just clicked.
Their pokie tournaments deserve a shoutout too. The competitive element adds a layer that solo play can’t match, and the weekly slot-specific bonuses mean there’s always something new to try.
The table games? Meh. Nothing special, nothing terrible. But let’s be real – you’re not coming here for blackjack. You’re here to spin until your finger gets tired.
BITKINGZ: JACKPOT HUNTER’S DREAM DESTINATION
If chasing life-changing wins gets your blood pumping, Bitkingz should be your digital home.
Their jackpot section is absolutely nuts. We’re talking progressive pots exceeding AU$1 million that grow faster than Australia’s rabbit population. The in-house tournaments specifically caught my eye – well-organized, transparent, and giving players multiple shots at serious cash.
These aren’t your grandpa’s boring jackpot games either. Each title comes packed with immersive themes and bonus features that would be entertaining even without the massive prizes attached. The high-volatility design means you’ll experience brutal dry spells, but when those jackpot symbols line up… well, a person can dream, right?
Will you win the million? Probably not. Will you have a blast trying? Absolutely.
LUCKY ONES: WHERE VETERAN PLAYERS FIND THEIR SECOND WIND
Bored with the same old slots? Lucky Ones is the cure for your gambling fatigue.
What sets this place apart isn’t just quantity (though 2,200+ games is nothing to sneeze at) – it’s the sheer diversity of providers. Beyond the Pragmatic Play titles everyone offers, they’ve tapped into innovative studios like Thunderkick, Push Gaming, and Hacksaw that bring fresh mechanics to the table.
For players who’ve seen it all, this catalog is pure gold. I spent ages just scrolling, constantly discovering unique games with features I hadn’t encountered before. It felt like finding a hidden record store when you thought you’d heard every album worth playing.
If you’re the type who rolls your eyes at “another Egyptian-themed slot,” Lucky Ones will remind you why you got into online gambling in the first place.
FAT FRUIT: FREE SPIN FIESTA THAT KEEPS ON GIVING
Let’s talk value – specifically, Fat Fruit’s absurd 400 free spins welcome package that blows the competition out of the water.
These aren’t pathetic “10 spins on some game nobody plays” deals either. The spins come in waves across your first deposits, ensuring you’ve got bonus action for days rather than hours. It’s the perfect setup for extended exploration of their 6,000+ game library without watching your bankroll vanish.
Their jackpot section deserves recognition too, with clear progressive prize displays powered by heavy hitters like BetSoft and Play’n GO. The Age of the Gods series from Playtech particularly caught my attention – mythological mayhem with serious payout potential.
Is the site design somewhat chaotic? Sure. Could the withdrawal process be faster? Absolutely. But when you’re getting 400 free chances to win, these become minor footnotes rather than dealbreakers.
SPINFEVER: LOYALTY REWARDED WITH RELENTLESS PROMOS
That Melbourne bartender wasn’t kidding about SpinFever’s ongoing promotions – this place is bonus central.
Beyond the initial AU$2,500 welcome package, their weekly calendar delivers like clockwork. “Motown Monday” drops up to 170 free spins on Gates of Olympus, while “Friday Fever” ensures your weekend starts with a bang. For consistent players, this creates a perpetual value loop that significantly stretches your gambling dollar.
Their VIP system isn’t the usual smoke-and-mirrors nonsense either. Each tier delivers tangible benefits – Mystery Prizes that actually contain worthwhile rewards, and a cashback system offering up to 15% back (capped at €5,000) for high-level members. The requirements are refreshingly transparent too, so you know exactly what you’re working toward.
Yes, withdrawals could be faster. Yes, the 3x playthrough requirement before cashout is annoying. But for players seeking consistent, long-term value rather than one-off thrills, SpinFever has created something special.
RAW TRUTH: WHAT NOBODY TELLS YOU ABOUT AUSSIE ONLINE CASINOS
After six platforms and countless spins, here’s the unvarnished reality of Australia’s online gambling scene:
KNOW YOUR ENDGAME BEFORE LOGGING IN
These sites are massive, disorienting digital labyrinths. Without a game plan, you’ll waste half your session just scrolling through options. Research specific games beforehand or at least decide on a category (pokies, table games, live dealer). The search function becomes your best friend only when you know what to search for.
VERIFICATION IS UNAVOIDABLE, SO BE PREPARED
The days of anonymous gambling are dead and buried. Even with crypto deposits, you’ll eventually need to verify your identity to withdraw significant winnings. Have your ID and proof of address ready from the start – nothing kills the buzz faster than hunting for documents when you’re trying to cash out.
TIME VANISHES IN THE DIGITAL CASINO VOID
Physical casinos use every psychological trick to keep you playing, but online platforms are next-level time vampires. What felt like 20 minutes at Crocoslots was actually 90. Set alarms, use timers, or have someone check on you. The digital zone is real, and it will consume your day if you let it.
PAYMENT METHOD = PAYOUT SPEED
Want your winnings fast? Choose crypto. Want them eventually? Use cards. The difference is staggering – Bitcoin payouts processed within minutes while card withdrawals left me checking my account days later. This isn’t marketing hype; it’s the cold, hard reality of financial processing systems.
KNOW WHEN TO LOG OFF
Enjoy the thrill, chase the bonuses, ride the hot streaks – but know when to pull the plug. If gambling stops being fun or starts feeling like a compulsion, it’s time to take a step back. Australia has excellent, judgment-free resources that can help. Gambling Help Online and GambleAware NSW offer free, confidential support, including self-exclusion tools and real strategies to regain control. You can also call the National Gambling Helpline at 1800 858 858 any time, it’s free and confidential. The goal is entertainment, not regret – stay in charge of your game.
LEGITIMATE PLATFORMS EXIST (BUT VERIFY ANYWAY)
Not every online casino is a scam waiting to happen, but caution remains your responsibility. Look for Curaçao Gaming Control Board licensing, SSL encryption (the padlock in your browser), and clear terms and conditions. If finding basic security information feels like an archeological dig, run.
The online casino experience won’t replace the sensory overload of Vegas or the sophistication of Monte Carlo. But when a physical casino requires pants and the weather outside is garbage, these digital alternatives deliver entertainment worth your time and money – if you choose wisely.
Pick your platform based on what matters to you, set hard limits on time and spending, and remember that the house always wins in the long run. But with the right approach, you can make them work for that advantage – and have a damn good time in the process.
In a digital age increasingly defined by data breaches, social engineering scams, and ever- evolving cyber threats, cybersecurity advocates are more critical than ever—and few have embraced this role with as much purpose and impact as Dahunsi Samuel Adeyemi.
A native of Nigeria and now based in Virginia, Dahunsi’s journey from a passionate student of technology to an influential cybersecurity voice and a Data Center Technician at Google is nothing short of remarkable. With a strong academic foundation and real-world experience spanning Africa and the United States, he has emerged as both a technologist and an educator dedicated to shielding individuals and small businesses from the dangers lurking online.
Dahunsi holds a Master of Science in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance from the
University of Central Missouri, building on a Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Science from the University of Ilorin. His academic journey reflects a deep commitment to mastering both the technical and human dimensions of digital defense.
But Dahunsi’s impact isn’t limited to classrooms or laboratories. As an active cybersecurity enthusiast, he has spent the last several years leading workshops, creating awareness content, and consulting with small- to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) on how to detect, prevent, and respond to cyber threats—especially those related to social engineering, one of the most deceptive and damaging attack methods.
“Many of the most successful cyberattacks don’t exploit software—they exploit people,” Dahunsi explains. “That’s why education and awareness are just as vital as firewalls and encryption.”
Dahunsi’s focus on social engineering isn’t accidental. He authored a comprehensive research paper examining how cybercriminals use psychological manipulation to trick users into giving away sensitive information. His research not only demystifies the tactics behind phishing and impersonation scams but also provides actionable insights on prevention—making it a valuable resource for both IT professionals and everyday users.
Through this work, he’s earned a reputation as a trusted voice in cybersecurity education, especially among business owners unfamiliar with the technical side of digital safety.
In March 2025, Dahunsi began a new chapter in his career, joining Google as a Data Center Technician supporting machine learning infrastructure. In this role, he ensures the
performance, security, and reliability of the hardware systems that power Google’s cutting-edge AI and machine learning capabilities.
This new position aligns perfectly with his technical skills and passion for infrastructure security. “Working at Google allows me to be at the heart of global innovation while continuing to apply best practices in system integrity and reliability,” he says.
While Dahunsi’s journey has taken him from Nigeria to the U.S. tech scene, his mission remains rooted in accessibility. He believes that cybersecurity should not be a luxury reserved for large corporations, but a basic necessity for everyone—especially small businesses and underserved communities.
Whether speaking at local meetups, mentoring aspiring tech professionals, or collaborating with business owners on risk assessments, Dahunsi continues to be a voice of clarity in a noisy, often intimidating digital world.
As he settles into his role at Google, Dahunsi is already thinking ahead. He plans to launch a cybersecurity awareness initiative focused on educating young professionals, SMEs, and non- technical users about real-world threats and how to defend against them.
“The more connected we become, the more important digital trust becomes,” Dahunsi says. “My goal is to build that trust—through knowledge, action, and community.”
From securing global infrastructure to empowering local entrepreneurs, Dahunsi Samuel Adeyemi is not just working in tech—he’s redefining what it means to protect it.
We’re Building for 1.5 Billion People Who Can’t Be Left Behind – Quidax CEO at Consensus 2025
1.5 Billion Reasons for Crypto in Africa – Quidax CEO at Consensus 2025
Lagos, Nigeria – May 19, 2025 – In a powerful speech at Consensus 2025, crypto’s most influential event, Buchi Okoro, CEO and Co-founder of Quidax, delivered a message for global collaboration to unlock Africa’s potential. Sharing his personal journey and highlighting the transformative power of crypto on the continent, Okoro called on the global community to join Quidax in building the future of Africa.
Okoro began by recounting his own challenging entry into the crypto space in 2016, where he fell victim trying tobuy Bitcoin. “It wasn’t a lot but it was all I had,” he said. “So my question becomes how do we make sure that my story is not the story of every African trying to get into crypto? How do we make sure that what is possibly the largest innovation in finance in 100 years doesn’t leave 1.5 billion people behind?”
He stated that in the West crypto is often viewed through the lens of accumulation, speculation, or novel applications, in Africa, “Crypto is Hope.” Okoro painted a vivid picture of a continent with an average inflation rate of 19%, inefficient and costly remittance processes despite over $150 billion in annual flows, plus a young population eager for opportunities.
“In Africa crypto is not hype, It is hope, crypto is an opportunity, crypto is freedom,” Okoro declared. “I personally believe that crypto in Africa is one of the greatest expressions of Satoshi’s vision for Bitcoin. I believe Africa is an opportunity.”
His invitation at Consensus 2025 was simple: “Join us to build the future of Africa, not the future of crypto in Africa but the future of Africa.” He suggested several ways to get involved, including partnering with Quidax, investing in African opportunities, or learning about the continent to contribute value and create opportunities.
“As the saying goes, it takes a village to raise a child,” Okoro concluded. “I believe it will take a village to connect Africa to the rest of the world and that process can start with everyone of us here and together we can build Africa’s future.”
