The Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church, Victory District, will celebrate its 10 years anniversary alongside the third memorial lecture of its first Chairman, the late Senior Apostle Dickson Awode.
The celebration with the theme: “Safe church acceptable worship” will begin on February 3 at the Divine Blessing Cathedral, Alagbado, with lectures to be delivered by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Lanre Ogunlowo, and Prof. Sunday Ajitoni of the Faculty of Education, University of Ibadan.
The Chairman Planning Committee, Special Apostle Shola Opadere, said the church had realised that one of the most pressing issues in the country was that of insecurity, adding that the lecture would help them know their role as elders in tackling the issue.
Opadere said the second lecture would close the gap between youths and elders of the church.
“We want the youth to be empowered, to have adequate information about what we do and how we do them, most importantly why we do them so that we don’t begin to be at Varian worshipping the same God under the same roof,” he said.
The anniversary will also feature musical concerts, memorial awards, anniversary thanksgiving and empowerment.
