An organisation, BOS Civil Society Support Group, has backed the re-election bid of Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
Co-ordinator, Obuesi Philips, said they were satisfied with the governor’s performance “through the THEMES agenda of his administration and implementation of sustainable development goals in Lagos State’’.
Phillips cited the 102 double Dino trucks donated by the government for waste disposal; establishment of 20 skill centres where 16,900 student-graduates were registered; training of 2,150 women and youths as some achievements targeted at the youth.
Others, he said, were empowerment of 8,885 women through Micro Enterprise Support Initiative and training of 400 boys to fight sexual and gender-based violence.
The convener said in terms of governance, credibility and others, Sanwo-Olu did well.
He said the group would mobilise Lagosians to vote for him.
A member, Mr Chris Ejima, noted that Sanwo-Olu stands out, and that they should show gratitude by supporting his second term bid.
Eberechukwu Orhewere and Ego Ojo echoed similar views, saying besides indigenes, other ethnic groups also benefited from Sanwo-Olu’s administration.
They enjoined the non-indigenes to support the governor and his deputy, Obafemi Hamzat, for re-election.
