Supreme Head of the Cherubim and Seraphim Unification Church, Prophet Solomon Adegboyega Alao, has urged Nigerians to support President Muhammadu Buhari to fulfill his campaign promises to the people.
Alao, who hailed the legislature and executive on the 2016 budget, said real work “should begin immediately as the people can barely wait to enjoy the dividends of change.
He called on agitators of secession to retrace their steps and support the new government, warning against any renewed hostility in the Niger Delta region.
“After a long but necessary wait for proper scrutiny of the 2016 budget, Nigerians can now heave a sigh of relief that the document has been assented to.
“What is left is to continue to cooperate and collaborate with the government to focus on implementing the letters of the budget.
“The government needs our support and understanding to be able to provide what they promised us during campaigns. That is what we owe the government.
“We all need to learn from history. No right thinking Nigerian will want a repeat of what happened during the civil war. Everyone has a legitimate right to ventilate his grievances, but it must be done in accordance with laid down laws and procedures.
“This government does not need any form of distraction, which is capable of derailing it from its path to development,” prophet Alao said.
