Cleric urges Nigerians to show love

Gospel Faith Mission International (GOFAMINT) General Overseer Pastor Elijah Abina has urged the citizenry to show love to one another.

He advised President Muhammadu Buhari to deal with all tribes equally.

Abina spoke in Lagos at a prayer rally organised by the church to mark the country’s Independence.

The theme was: “Nigeria will be great again”.

The rally lasted for several hours.

It began at GOFAMINT headquarters in Asese on Lagos-Ibadan expressway, where the first prayer was held.

The crowd later moved to Berger bus top, Lagos State House of Assembly, Lagos State House, Magodo and Maryland, where intensive prayers were offered for the country.

The cleric said the President must see himself as the father of Nigeria and deal with ethnic groups with love.

“Buhari is not the president of the North; he is the President of Nigeria and so should deal with all tribes with equal love,” he said.

He added: “President Buhari needs prayer and he must seek wisdom from God because it is difficult to rule Nigeria, considering our many languages and tribes.

“He should seek the face of God on how to manage the economy. Nigeria is not easy to rule because of our diversity and that is why we need to pray for our leaders.”

The cleric urged the citizenry to be patriotic, love the country, pray for its prosperity and peace.
