Community hails Tinubu for appointing indigene as aide

The people of Isanlu-Isin in Kwara State have expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing their son as aide.

They spoke at the weekend at a grand reception held in Abuja in honour of Prince Paul Adekanye, special assistant on Logistics to President Tinubu.

The reception was organised by Isanlu-Isin Development Association (IIDA), Abuja branch. It was attended by dignitaries from Igbomina town unions in Kwara State, community leaders and celebrant’s friends.

In a citation, the Chairman of IIDA, Abuja branch, Dr. Dele Gege, a retired federal permanent secretary, highlighted Adekanye’s remarkable journey.

“From his humble beginning as a prince who lost his father at the age of six, to his career as a civil servant, security personnel and eventually, special assistant to the President, Prince Adekanye’s story is one of resilience, hard work and dedication,” Gege said.

The President of Isanlu Isin Development Association, Pastor Gaius Adebayo, lauded Adekanye for his contributions to the development of the community.

He also thanked President Tinubu for recognising his qualities.

In a goodwill message read by the Vice President of IIDA, Jacob Ayanda, the traditional ruler of Isanlu Isin, Oba Solomon Oloyede, said Adekanye’s appointment was a testament that the community was capable of producing exceptional leaders, who could bring positive impact at the highest levels.
