Scores of officials of Somolu Local Government Area have eulogised an ex-worker Alhaja Modinat Adetutu Eyiowunawi.

Mrs Eyiowunawi died on May 14. She was 48

Leading council officials to the Third Day special prayer for the deceased, Chairman of Somolu Local Government Area, AbdulHamed Salawu, described Alhaja Eyiowunawi as a dedicated staff and exemplary woman.

Salawu said the deceased contributed her quota to the progress and development of the council, community, and Lagos state.

According to him, “Alhaja Eyiowunawi was a friendly, calm, and dedicated staff of the council. She always ensured things are done accordingly and never compromised the ethics of the civil service. She has no doubt contributed her quota to the progress and development of the council, community, and Lagos state at large. It’s, however, pertinent for us as human beings to understand that Allah giveth and taketh. No matter how beautiful, handsome, skilful, wealthy, and even religious we are, we should always have it at the back of our minds that we all owe death and we will all taste it when the time comes. It’s my prayer that Allah grants her Al-Jannah Firdaus, forgive all her misdeed, and give her family the fortitude to bear the loss.”

Salawu admonished the residents to live a truthful life, believe in God, and shun any act that’s considered harmful to others.
