The Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, Senator George Akume, has described those criticising the same faith presidential tick of the All Progressives Congress, APC, as a mere propaganda and a diversionary tactic by those who did not mean well for the unity of the country.
Senator Akume stated this on Saturday while declaring open, a one-day meeting/retreat for the recently inaugurated Alia/Ode governorship council held at the Royal Choice Inn in Makurdi, the state capital.
He said “if there is any debate, it should be about power shift and not about Muslim-Muslim ticket” adding that the Tinubu/Shetima ticket is not “anti-anybody” but it is all about competence. Going by the past antecedence of the duo, they have all it takes to deliver on the mandate of the people if given the opportunity come 2023.
Senator Akume expressed confidence that his party (APC) has presented credible candidates that if given the opportunity, they will meet the yearnings and aspirations of the people and called on Nigerians to vote all APC candidates from top to bottom.
He called on aggrieved members of the APC, especially those who had taken the party to court to consider the interest of the people first and sheath their swords for the betterment of the state.

Hycenth Alia, appreciated the leadership of the party and members of the campaign council for their sacrifices, saying, that it was an opportunity to contribute their quota to reset the state.
