Tunji-Ojo, the chairman, House Committee on Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), was endorsed for another term by the crowd. The lawmaker’s performance was rated high by the crowd.
What could be described as an icing on the cake of the final rally was the decision of Labour Party (LP) chieftains in Akoko North East/Akoko North West federal constituency to collapse their party structures for the re-election of Tunji-Ojo.
The obviously overjoyed legislator thanked the people for the faith reposed in his leadership ability.
He promised to build on his first term achievements if given the electoral mandate for another term. The lawmaker pledged to attract more developmental projects and life transforming opportunities to Akoko North East/Akoko North West federal constituency for the benefits of the constituents.
He urged the people of Akoko land to vote for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Saturday’s presidential election, Pastor Jide Ipinsagba in the senatorial poll as well as all APC House of Assembly candidates in Akoko North East/Akoko North West constituency on March 11.
Members of Ondo State National Assembly caucus were represented at the rally by the duo of Mayowa Akinfolarin and Mayokun Lawson-Alade -LAF.
Akinfolarin told the crowd that BTO “has performed very well and he deserves another term to build on his first term achievements.
He appealed to the crowd to encourage and reward the excellent performance of Tunji-Ojo by re-electing him so that they could continue to enjoy the dividends of democracy.
Akinfolarin enjoined the crowd to vote for Asiwaju Tinubu in the presidential election.
The federal lawmaker said it was the turn of the Yoruba, since President Muhammadu Buhari, a Northerner, would complete his two terms of eight years on May 29.
