Dame Florence Adedoja Aiyegbusi (nee Orojo), widow of the late Akoko All Progressives Congress (APC) leader, Chief Felix Aiyegbusi, is dead.
A statement by Fola Aiyegbusi said she died on June 14. Preparations were on for her 86th birthday on July 1.
The deceased was born to the Orojo family of Ekitiji Arigidi-Akoko on July 1, 1936.
She was a primary school headmistress and she retired in 1984. She was the first Diocesan Lady Secretary of the Akoko Anglican Diocese. She and her late husband were knighted by the then Bishop of Etsako Diocese in Edo State in 2007.
Mama is survived by her children and grandchildren.
